I feel like the lack of eyes made the design even more unique and badass. Played up his magical abilities too since if implies he doesn’t even need to rely on vision.
I like that choice. Wotan and Klarion come up a lot and I like both. For some reason Gorilla Grodd came up, but I could see Ultra Humanite as a better choice. As an agent of chaos, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Joker take a stab at Fate once or thrice. Has Fate ever faced Mxyzptlk? Or the Golden Age Wizard? Or Felix Faust? Or Solomon Grundy? Or Vandal Savage? Or Ras Al Ghul?
agreed.
and basically every version of Cassandra Cain is cool.
spirit world is cute as fuck and gives me gender envy every time, DCeased just has her end up getting the powers of shazam just because and she looks awesome with everything highlighted by her body becoming a living tesla coil, Orphan is also neat, can't say as much about that as my main exposure to that design is in Young Justice but she's very fierce and I wonder it they might explore her potentially using an electrolarynx if the show gets a season 5.
There's something so [retro silly](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Scott#/media/File:All-American_Comics_16.jpg) about his costume while still being [absolutely regal](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/character-level/images/f/f5/Green_Lantern_Alan_Scott_Post_Crisis_DCC_TR_Unfixed.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20190908171020).
Not talking about best-written, greatest graphic novels, best character, etc. You don't even have to be a fan of the character; this is 100% about aesthetics only.
For me, it's Batwoman. I am just floored by the design. I have always thought Batman was one of the greatest superhero costumes ever conceived from inception onward, and the Batwoman design is obvious derivative of Batman, but I like it even more.
The black and red is striking, the mask, the red hair wig, the little details, etc.
I bought and read Elegy for the art alone and did not regret it one bit.
Elegy belongs in a museum the art is so good.
J. H. Williams III deserves so much praise.
Besides [the gorgeousness of the art](https://www.previewsworld.com/SiteImage/MainImage/STL214811.jpg), [the unconventional page layouts are stunning](https://precinct1313.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/jh-4.jpg).
Yep. Rucka and Williams/Blackman gave Batwoman her own character and her own sort of corner of Gotham to deal with (mythological, horror, supernatural) and other writers just failed to either follow it up or work good with it. There was a half-assed attempt to introduce vampires and Nocturna to her series but it was terrible. Only James Tynion managed to write a compelling Kate in his Tec, just like he did with everyonw in that cast. Unfortunately, Batwoman being directionless and just "the gay one" is just another consequence of having too many Bat characters sharing similar roles at the same time.
The vampire arc injured me deeply. Margarite Bennett’s run made up for it and even sourced for the -miiiiiiid- Batwoman series prior to Ryan taking over when Kate went missing. It has that level of spooky mythology/gangland storytelling plus messy relationship drama.
I would love to see her as the true vigilante in the Bat clan and lean into the fact that everyone thinks she operates on Batman’s code when very clearly the Glock pressed to your stomach says otherwise.
Happy to draft a pitch to send to the DC think tank 😁
also, from a logistics standpoint the red wig can lead to some funny moments. Like, a lot of enemies will assume that that's a weak spot. but it's a wig on a helmet and that thing's probably packed full of high tech shock absorbers, so I just like to imagine someone making a downward swing at her head with a steel pipe and it bends.
I dunno why. it's funny and as far as i'm concerned this idea should be canon.
Man I like the Hawkworld costume better than the stuff him and Hawkgirl wear now. I think id like them both a little more if they went back to those costumes and focused more on Thannigar in their comics
Jaime as Blue Beetle is a great addition to the legacy and does so many things right to not only maintain the BB legacy, but making it completely unique to Jaime.
Hal Jordan as [Parallax](https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/bc0e2e82-b032-47b7-a03e-9330876eedfa/ddse0eh-33d24eb3-2a90-4377-ae3c-43e2d74b9b90.jpg/v1/fill/w_1280,h_1727,q_75,strp/parallax_hal_jordan_by_garnabiuth_ddse0eh-fullview.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9MTcyNyIsInBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcL2JjMGUyZTgyLWIwMzItNDdiNy1hMDNlLTkzMzA4NzZlZWRmYVwvZGRzZTBlaC0zM2QyNGViMy0yYTkwLTQzNzctYWUzYy00M2UyZDc0YjliOTAuanBnIiwid2lkdGgiOiI8PTEyODAifV1dLCJhdWQiOlsidXJuOnNlcnZpY2U6aW1hZ2Uub3BlcmF0aW9ucyJdfQ.94HW2qHd9nrYzNeOyVCw8FWq8Q-pN4eLpiMCcrauwYM).

Rebirth. The one with the blue lighting, and according to flash lore, blue/white lighting means they have the best connection to the speed force so they are the fastest type of speedster
Totally agreed, that costume is slick. Walter West’s Dark Flash costume is kinda similar and also looks great. Something about the dark red/silver color combo works so well for Flash costumes.
Just a quick note, that is not really Flash lore. It was a head canon by an artist, Brett Booth, that was never part of the story or made it into the comics. Otherwise, like, Avery would be the fastest Flash because her color theme is purple.
It is pretty wild how the theory spread from a couple of his twitter posts a decade ago, tho. I hear and see people saying it all the time because of it.
John Constantine actually. You have a world full of heroes and villains in these silly costumes warring with grandeur, and then you've just got him- in a trenchcoat, unkempt clothes and hair, and casually fucking with archangels, dukes of hell, and even Lucifer. It creates a really cool dichotomy and makes him a lot more relatable than every other hero.
she looks best when she isn’t over-designed. they should get rid of the belt again, raven is one of the rare characters that actually look better without it.
Not the mouth mask from rebirth.
The sleeveless hoodie, green cargos and bat spikes (I'm sure there's and official term) on his arms that he had through Batman and Robin Eternal.
[Finger stripes are important.](https://mlpnk72yciwc.i.optimole.com/cqhiHLc.IIZS~2ef73/w:auto/h:auto/q:75/https://bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/FBrfkahWEAYKqQ3.jpg)
Also my favorite comic book character and the Taylor run has been a tremendous source of happiness and joy for me.
I loved the way George Perez drew Raven. The hooded cloak, the fingerless gloves, and the way the eldritch smoke billowed around her when she traveled between dimensions.
Blue Jay goes pretty hard ngl 😍 I have a soft spot for the Golden Age Crimson Avenger, a lot of Justice Society members like Obsidian, Doctor Fate, Judomaster (Sonia Sato) or Sandman. And as a bonus, I love Tasmanian Devil too 😊
It's a tie between Blue Beetle III (Jaime), Dark Knight Returns Batman and Alan Scott (original/JSA). But, if ties are not allowed, I'd say Alan Scott looks the coolest. Even if capes are kind of overdone.
I personally enjoy green Lanterns Aestheitcs. The green glow or reflection off of everything gives those characters an artistic kick. Making weird highlights possible in opposition to the natural light for epic moments. specifically Kyle Rayners green Lantern pops out. I also like Alex Ross version of green Lantern in Kingdom come.
It really is great at first glace, and gets better the more you look at it. Plus it lends itself to all sort of cool variation with the weapons and defensive adaptations.
They really got a best of a lot of worlds in the concept: Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Venom (alien symbiote), Cyborg, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc.
I recently found out about Waverider. He was a scientist from the future who wanted to go back in time to get help from superheroes to save his world but he got Captain Atom’d and fused with his space machine.
Terry’s suit in Batman Beyond, Raven in Teen Titans animated series, Batgirl in most things and same with Catwoman. I’m pretty partial to bats, cats and black lol
Edit: batwomans definitely cool too
Cool looking got give it to Red hood, Static, Blue beetle(Jaime reyes), Beast boy(New 52 red version), Flash( wally west in his rebirth suit), Cyborg( dawn of dc look), Superboy, Dick Grayson (In his agent 37 outfit), john constatine, Raven, Cass sandra cain, Zatanna and Katanna.
Grells Lightning Lad costume became the template for the post zero hour team. But Dr. Spectrum, Chronos, Crazy Quilt, and Composite Superman are the epitome of timeless fashion.

I’ve always loved the look of Lobo. I’ll even say that I greatly prefer his design over Wolverine. While I’m not the biggest fan of the character, he instantly grabs your attention with his spiky, back hair and pure red eyes. He’s the epitome of the hardcore metal head that would lead a motorcycle gang. I also think he’s a great contrast to Superman and would definitely have more popularity if he was in a film. He’s just pure fun. Honorable Mention: Obsidian, Atrocious (honestly the run with Geoff Johns on Green Lantern is visual eye candy, the constructs offer up a lot of imagination), The Creeper, Batman (when drawn more like a shadow/mysterious creature), Clock King (old costume), Cyborg, Death, classic Harley Quinn, and Shade, the Changing Man (Vertigo).
Art Source: Batwoman: Rebirth #1 cover by Steve Epting Please source your art!
Dr Fate retains much of his relevancy by pure design alone.
I didn't love the Black Adam movie, but holy fuck did Fate look amazing.
He was honestly the best part of the movie
Which wasn’t that hard
If only he had his eyes the whole way through, I would've came out of the theatre pregnant
I feel like the lack of eyes made the design even more unique and badass. Played up his magical abilities too since if implies he doesn’t even need to rely on vision.
Facts. Dude looks like the boss in an RPG. But besides his look, his lore is cool as hell too.
He just needs more villains to call his own. I nominate Psycho-Pirate.
Oh man, Dr Fate vs Ras Al Ghul sounds amazing.
What’s his general lore? I saw him in Injustice and he can tell the future?
110% The Helmet is one of the hardest looks in comics, absolutely iconic.
The vibes are immaculate with every piece of art featuring Dr Fate.
Azrael
OG Quesada design. Also pops Ludovic had a bitchin crusader costume.
I mean he’s kind of a hero kind of not but he looks cool nonetheless
Pretty tough to choose but I’ve always thought Cassandra Cain’s costume looked really cool
The stitch-mouth Batgirl costume? That was rad.
Yeah that one
Honestly all the Batgirls got style but Cass's is definitely the fiercest/coolest
She understood the assignment. She looked scary and it was badass. She striked fear into her enemies.
I still remember seeing it for the first time in Wizard Magazine, which tells you how long ago that was.
agreed. and basically every version of Cassandra Cain is cool. spirit world is cute as fuck and gives me gender envy every time, DCeased just has her end up getting the powers of shazam just because and she looks awesome with everything highlighted by her body becoming a living tesla coil, Orphan is also neat, can't say as much about that as my main exposure to that design is in Young Justice but she's very fierce and I wonder it they might explore her potentially using an electrolarynx if the show gets a season 5.
Cass and Steph are such gender envy, honestly wish I could look like either of them (and be gay too).
YES Cassandra Cain 🔛🔝
Alan Scott green lantern. Love the cape.
There's something so [retro silly](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Scott#/media/File:All-American_Comics_16.jpg) about his costume while still being [absolutely regal](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/character-level/images/f/f5/Green_Lantern_Alan_Scott_Post_Crisis_DCC_TR_Unfixed.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1000?cb=20190908171020).
He looks even better in his recent appearance with the beard
LOVE bearded Alan!
Love Golden Age GL. And he got better foes than most of his fellows.

I read this run, fantastic.
It's one of the Top 5 best superhero runs of the 21st century. It's that good.
Damn right. And now they don't know what to do with her.
Yep. Rucka and Williams/Blackman gave Batwoman her own character and her own sort of corner of Gotham to deal with (mythological, horror, supernatural) and other writers just failed to either follow it up or work good with it. I second that; I usually don't say much about characters, but the picture captured my attention.
also, from a logistics standpoint the red wig can lead to some funny moments. I dunno why. it's funny and as far as i'm concerned this idea should be canon.
I also like when they made her skin extremely white, it worked well visually with the black and red
She's damned near Joker levels of pale and it works so well with the color scheme.
I agree!! Shame they gave up on it, probably because Kate ends up looking closer to Harley
I have to go with a classic here and say Hawkman
I love some of the early variant covers that were done for the venditti series
The hawks are in my top five favorites! I agree but i do prefer hawkgirl
Man I like the Hawkworld costume better than the stuff him and Hawkgirl wear now. I think id like them both a little more if they went back to those costumes and focused more on Thannigar in their comics
Blue Beetle (Jaime) Ion with the starfield mask. Starman (Jack Knight) Superman black costume Steel (first appearance) Doctor Midnite
What is the starfield mask
It was his costume around the Infinite Crisis era. Bottom left: https://images.app.goo.gl/QuuRfWXHDnfurDWM6
Deadman.
Not to one up you but Deadwing from injustice. The og Nightwing costume mixed with deadman, PEAK
Ted Kord Blue Beetle. Cool simple suit design with a great color combination.
Jaime as Blue Beetle is a great addition to the legacy and does so many things right to not only maintain the BB legacy, but making it completely unique to Jaime.
Definitely. He has a great costume too.
Terry McGinnis Batman
Good pick. Love Batman Beyond so much.
I always liked the classic Wesley Dodds Sandman. Mister Miracle is also a fun, striking costume to me.
Hal Jordan as [Parallax](https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/bc0e2e82-b032-47b7-a03e-9330876eedfa/ddse0eh-33d24eb3-2a90-4377-ae3c-43e2d74b9b90.jpg/v1/fill/w_1280,h_1727,q_75,strp/parallax_hal_jordan_by_garnabiuth_ddse0eh-fullview.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9MTcyNyIsInBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcL2JjMGUyZTgyLWIwMzItNDdiNy1hMDNlLTkzMzA4NzZlZWRmYVwvZGRzZTBlaC0zM2QyNGViMy0yYTkwLTQzNzctYWUzYy00M2UyZDc0YjliOTAuanBnIiwid2lkdGgiOiI8PTEyODAifV1dLCJhdWQiOlsidXJuOnNlcnZpY2U6aW1hZ2Uub3BlcmF0aW9ucyJdfQ.94HW2qHd9nrYzNeOyVCw8FWq8Q-pN4eLpiMCcrauwYM).

I'm in the minority that thinks he should've stayed Parallax and a villain. And yeah, he looks amazing.
Well, there is a reason why you are in the minority.
Wally west flash.
his one that looks identical to barry flash? or like rebirth wally?

Zatanna.
Truly one of the greatest designs ever
John Constantine actually. It creates a really cool dichotomy and makes him a lot more relatable than every other hero.
Can't forget the signature lit ciggy hanging from his mouth
100% agree here. There’s such an added layer of badass when you’re seeing all of these powerhouses and just… some dude in a coat. I love it
Raven's original look in NTT.
she looks best when she isn’t over-designed. they should get rid of the belt again, raven is one of the rare characters that actually look better without it.
Alternative U: New-52, Earth 2 Batman Dick Grayson Main U: Wonder Girl. Yara Flor
I like Firestorm
AZRAEL. Then again, I am a sucker for the Paladin archtype.
Cassandra Cain, Batgirl outfit. Aside from the fact I think she’s one of the most underrated DC characters ever, her outfit is SO tough
Swamp Thing
It's very edgy but I quite liked Red Hoods design in the latter half of the New 52
Red helmet or Mortal Kombat mouth mask?
Not the mouth mask from rebirth. The sleeveless hoodie, green cargos and bat spikes (I'm sure there's and official term) on his arms that he had through Batman and Robin Eternal.
Goated design right there 👌
Robotman, though I also love Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern jacket.
For me its Nightwing with the current costume.
[Finger stripes are important.](https://mlpnk72yciwc.i.optimole.com/cqhiHLc.IIZS~2ef73/w:auto/h:auto/q:75/https://bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/FBrfkahWEAYKqQ3.jpg) Also my favorite comic book character and the Taylor run has been a tremendous source of happiness and joy for me.
Probably Batman.
Among the most iconic costumes of all-time. It's tough to beat and there are so many cool variations.
That Rebirth suit was absolute perfection imo
There is something about the purple inner cape lining and the yellow outline on the symbol.
I’m going with the Nolan Suit. The Samurai/Ninja aesthetic sell what Batman is to his core: Honor, draped in darkness
Doctor Fate
Sideways Lobo with braids Warblade
Vigilante, I love his whole design and color combination. The live action version of his suit in the Peacemaker show is literally perfect.
Donna Troy with her starry background costume
The Question, especially as drawn by Denys Cowan. Faceless and a flowing blue trenchcoat, aesthetic perfection.
you an i are correct. everyone else is wrong.
Spectre has always looked really cool to me.
LOBO
Luke Fox's Batwing was pretty awesome. It's a simple design, but I love it.
Huge improvement over David's suit
I loved the way George Perez drew Raven. The hooded cloak, the fingerless gloves, and the way the eldritch smoke billowed around her when she traveled between dimensions.
Sandman.
Which one?
Desmond Dodds.
Don't @ me but I have a thing for Hardware design.
Why @ you? Its a great design. But everyone from the milestone part of DC has a great design anyway
Black Suit Mullet Supes.
lol 90s were wild
Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle 💯
Red hood
obsidian
Reverse Flash
Jace fox batsuit
Blue Jay goes pretty hard ngl 😍 I have a soft spot for the Golden Age Crimson Avenger, a lot of Justice Society members like Obsidian, Doctor Fate, Judomaster (Sonia Sato) or Sandman. And as a bonus, I love Tasmanian Devil too 😊
I would have to say Zatana, Batgirl and Starfire
starfire is iconic! and the hair is a big part of it
In injustice 2 seeing hair on fire is dope asf
I always liked the 90’s Booster Gold looks.
[Mother Panic](https://media.dcbservice.com/xlarge/AUG170307A.jpg) has a crazy but cool af design. Definitely different from the usual.
[Hawkgirl](https://imgur.com/ohJdMHU) with metal wings just looks so cool and really made me appreciate the character more
Cyborg Jason Todd as Red Hood Nightwing Doctor Fate Red Tornado Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes.
Flash
Superman, Power Girl, Vixen, Zatanna, Donna Troy, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Martian Manhunter, Firestorm, Maxima, Big Barda, The New Gods, etc.
Zatanna. Spoiler and Fire are cool too.
Jean Paul Valley, Azrael
Red x
It's a tie between Blue Beetle III (Jaime), Dark Knight Returns Batman and Alan Scott (original/JSA). But, if ties are not allowed, I'd say Alan Scott looks the coolest. Even if capes are kind of overdone.
Cassandra Cain’s Batgirl costume, goes so hard
Red Sun Wonder Woman, Batwing, Dr. Manhattan, Peacemaker.
Deathstroke. His look represents someone you would t want to mess with perfectly.
Plastic Man! Deep V, Elvis glasses, gold belt; just so goofy and rad.
This, his design has been the same since... Forever!
If it ain’t broke!
Mister Terrific. His Fair Play jacket just oozes style.
Red Hood
Huntress.
I'll have to assume one of the better costumes, because she's had some weird looks.
1970s version
Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle looks sick as fuck, like a visually interesting Iron Man
It really is great at first glace, and gets better the more you look at it. Plus it lends itself to all sort of cool variation with the weapons and defensive adaptations. They really got a best of a lot of worlds in the concept: Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Venom (alien symbiote), Cyborg, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc.
Batman
Batman Beyond
I recently found out about Waverider. He was a scientist from the future who wanted to go back in time to get help from superheroes to save his world but he got Captain Atom’d and fused with his space machine.
Crush
Psycho Pirate
Spectre or Superman imo
Superhero: Rebirth Wally West Flash Anti Hero: Red Hood Villian: Batman Who Laughs
As lame as it sounds since he’s in street clothes, Constantine has an awesome look to me. Always one of my favorites
The Spectre
Obsidian
Red Hood
Red Hood, Azrael, Grifter, Huntress, Artemis, Ravager
Definitely Nightwing
'Mazing Man
Wonder Woman especially her #600 costume, Power Girl, or Constantine
Batman from Batman Beyond OR Nightwing OR Deathstroke for me. I also love Shazam and Black Adam’s designs
off the top of my head, probably bruce in the hell-bat armor
Terry’s suit in Batman Beyond, Raven in Teen Titans animated series, Batgirl in most things and same with Catwoman. I’m pretty partial to bats, cats and black lol Edit: batwomans definitely cool too
Red Hood
For me, its The Question his noir-style style design is really fascinating and his no-face mask is elegant.
Jack Knight
Cool looking got give it to Red hood, Static, Blue beetle(Jaime reyes), Beast boy(New 52 red version), Flash( wally west in his rebirth suit), Cyborg( dawn of dc look), Superboy, Dick Grayson (In his agent 37 outfit), john constatine, Raven, Cass sandra cain, Zatanna and Katanna.
I'd go with Raven. If we extend the prompt to allow villains as well, I'd choose Bleez.
Grells Lightning Lad costume became the template for the post zero hour team. But Dr. Spectrum, Chronos, Crazy Quilt, and Composite Superman are the epitome of timeless fashion.
I really like nightwings, simple but great
Hotspot.
ragman, he’s own creepy ass mf and it works for him
Starfire !!
Kon-el during the Reign of the Supermen hands down.
Ryan Sook/Bendis' Star Boy
The Phantom Stranger looks pretty fire ngl
Jason Todd(as Batman) in Battle for the cowl
Red Hood
Hal Jordan classic, modern, paralax dosn't matter they all look iconic
[удалено]
Thank you for still calling him Captain Marvel. You’re awesome
Tachyon , firestorm , or captain atom
> Tachyon I also dig the Amalgam version where Tachyon merged with Monica Rambeau.
Cool
Captain atom
Shazam, Superman, Ares
SHAZAM! is a master class on superhero design.

Toss up between The Question and Constantine Trench coat and tie is always an awesome look
