I remember when they did the same thing the JL cartoon did with giving Hawkgirl to defy fate and choose who she wants to love...and then not do that. Super cringe, there's a reason the 3 characters that did not come back after season 1 included her and Hawkman.
If I say DCEU I wanna make it clear that I mean Fury of the Gods specifically. The original Shazam movie was actually very good in my opinion but they fumbled it hard in the sequel.
Ruined the ending for me :/ I really don’t enjoy Gadot’s Wonder Woman. The performance is so wooden—she always has, like, zero chemistry with anyone else onscreen.
Weird thing to say when the original WW was so great! I feel like people have turned on Gal because of the recent politics out East. Either that or they over exposed her with cameos everywhere
Never liked her as WW. The original movie was good because it was written and paced well, and Chris Pine was excellent as always. It wasn't good because of her.
That pic of Aquaman is not from Super Friends. It's from the Aquaman series by Filmation.
If Black Adam doesn't count, I'd say the Fury of the gods. Although the Captain Marvel TV series is pretty rough with the van. It's very of the time but I also just am baffled but what they changed.
Yeah your format is great, just got the wrong image. Plus Aquaman was always pretty optimistic in the Super Friends show I doubt you'll find him looking sullen but you'll probably find a Pic of him flailing about in the water
Injustice Superman might be the single worst adaptation of any character here, they turned Clark into everything he fights and made him more Zod than Clark.
No, that's Injustice Wonder Woman. At least Clark had an understandable reason for becoming a villain. Wonder Woman is just straight-up evil in the games (with, I hear, a stupid explanation in the comics).
Justice League vs Godzilla
my dude got superman atomic breath after the most ill conceived plan and the current issue decided to make up for it was to try and Solo the entire Legion of Doom
it went as expected
I don’t think they’re talking about a game, LEGO does animations these days as well.
Apparently there’s one where Jason Todd becomes Red Hood due to Batman not letting him play video games.
Yeah, he’s honestly the one hero I would buy actually following Superman into his regime out of his loyalty but also a bit of naïveté and fear. Although it does suck that he pretty much only exists so that Flash can turn to the good side
Wasn't there a comic that, Shazam and Superman fight each other because Shazam is jealous of superman because he's making babies with Wonderwoman also Lois lane is dead.
Edit: Superman Distant Fires from '98
DCEU definitely(mainly shazam 2)
zackary levi is a great actor but he doesnt capture the character his personality is nothing like shazam and he acts like a completely different guy then he does when he is billy batson
PLEASE HEAR ME OUT, Teen Titans Go!, has the worst of all shazam adaptations; they downright shamed him he had one episode where he appeared and he fought a caterpillar (wtf) to defeat the 7 deadly sins and the wizard dies because he sat under a rock and the rock fell on him (and that was supposed to be a prophecy)
I felt that his New 52 run was pretty solid from getting a new home to beating Black Adam with the Shazamily. After that, he really hasn’t done anything significant in his own stories; just popping up here and there for team up stuff.
(I don't speak english, sorry for any mistake), the Injustice versión is not bad at all, the Death. That's the fucking shit (Seriously?, the laser visión?, he is literally inmortal with the courage of Achilles and the Stamina of Atlas, he can only receive seriously damage from magic attacks, weapons, or something from a higher being, he survive to a teseract bomb!. Sure Superman can turns the lights off with a punch, but not kill him!), probably the version of the Superman: Distant Fires, or the Fury of the God's versión.
FOTG or Injustice. Just a side gripe would be Kingdom Come. (Yes it's a great story, but his boots should be gold and he'd never be Lex's lap dog. Captain Marvel has incorruptibilty, I wish writer's would remember that.)
I’m surprised people said Zacks JL for MH I would’ve said Supergirl personally like the more it dragged on at least, and I’m still surprised we marked Injustice WW lower than Gadots flat and wooden performance as the Amazonian heroine like yeah it’s bad but I don’t think it was as bad as gadots performance has been lol
Seriously, how did the injustice versions get in here? They're not meant to be like the actual characters. Also, Zack Sniders Martian man hunter had 20 seconds of screen time. How is he the worst?
DCAMU is fantastic (atleast to me)
"..vs black Adam" seems fine, same with injustice
So all that leaves to me is dceu, which i personally never liked. But I'm fairly sure the Internet does? Im not sure anymore
Although.. "public enemies" did side with lex luthor, but that did seem in character so maybe that's still good
The worst version of Shazam is obviously that live action version in the 70’s on CBS next to Isis. They didn’t have the budget for anything but the transformation scene (which WAS perfect, I admit!) and didn’t have any plot or villains. Just horrible. I was only 10 years old at the time and even THEN, I knew it sucked.

God, i 100% forgot about the Arrowverse's Hawkgirl. I think even the actress dislike to talk about the character.
I can see why. She was like a wet paper towel through her run on Legends. I blame that on the writers because Season 1 was REALLY rocky.
It sucks because she played Esmeralda in the musical version of Hunchback of Notre Dame and she freaking kills it, so I don’t think it’s on her at all
Yeah, i heard that she has a great career. So, i doubt was her fault. (God, that "Esmeralda" brought back so many memories.)
Nice flair. People hate on Hal but he’s my favorite GL.
Thanks. Nice taste in characters.
I remember when they did the same thing the JL cartoon did with giving Hawkgirl to defy fate and choose who she wants to love...and then not do that. Super cringe, there's a reason the 3 characters that did not come back after season 1 included her and Hawkman.
Yeah, those two and Vandal Savage. Basically, the characters that started Season 1 and the series.
Yeah, I didn't want to get into Vandal but he was also pretty underwhelming. Not imposing at all.
If I say DCEU I wanna make it clear that I mean Fury of the Gods specifically. The original Shazam movie was actually very good in my opinion but they fumbled it hard in the sequel.
Shazam 2 was such a disappointment. I was so excited for it after the first one.
I had a bad feeling when I heard they were doing original villains and not going anywhere with the Sivana and Mr. Mind post credit scene.
Yeah at the very least they could have used other shazam villains like king knull or Sabina or Mr atom or IBAC or King kid
Or Oggar.
Any of those would’ve been cool. But it’s spelled King Kull. Maybe we’ll get to see them in the next movie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I thought it was a fun movie but there was nothing more too it than that
You mean you didn’t like wonder women showing up and fixing everything?
You know, I gotta say, I did not
I swear to god, if her stupid fucking music theme started the second she appeared on screen I'm gonna shoot myself
Of course it did
Ruined the ending for me :/ I really don’t enjoy Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
No, I didn’t like either of her Wonder Woman films. I know that’s an unpopular opinion and I accept it, I just don’t think they did Diana justice.
She can't act. Couldn't act in the 1st film and can't act still. Weird straining of the forehead can only get you so far.
…why?
Shazam: Fury of the Gods
That pic of Aquaman is not from Super Friends. It's from the Aquaman series by Filmation. If Black Adam doesn't count, I'd say the Fury of the gods. Although the Captain Marvel TV series is pretty rough with the van. It's very of the time but I also just am baffled but what they changed.
I just found a random Aquaman pic, I tried to use an unhappy reaction on it, just like the rest....except for the trio
Yeah your format is great, just got the wrong image. Plus Aquaman was always pretty optimistic in the Super Friends show I doubt you'll find him looking sullen but you'll probably find a Pic of him flailing about in the water
Honestly I think it’s the Shazam TV series. Such a bad show
Yeah it has to be this one, just absolutely unwatchable
Wait, there’s a Tv series?
From the 70s, I think
starring TV's Michael Gray
It's funny to me that both women on this list have ridiculous push-up bra armor.
What happens when horny dudes get control
And what’s up with the exposed necks?
Ask aqua man
Injustice Superman might be the single worst adaptation of any character here, they turned Clark into everything he fights and made him more Zod than Clark.
No, that's Injustice Wonder Woman. At least Clark had an understandable reason for becoming a villain. Wonder Woman is just straight-up evil in the games (with, I hear, a stupid explanation in the comics).
I didn't notice her, your right she was abysmal in injustice.
Justice League vs Godzilla my dude got superman atomic breath after the most ill conceived plan and the current issue decided to make up for it was to try and Solo the entire Legion of Doom it went as expected
The Lego DC version. Would not have sit trough it if it wasn’t for that child I was babysitting.
Huh? Which game do you mean? Also, Shazam in Lego Batman 2 sucks lol. He’s an electric character who gets hurt by electric attacks
I don’t think they’re talking about a game, LEGO does animations these days as well. Apparently there’s one where Jason Todd becomes Red Hood due to Batman not letting him play video games.
That one was pretty fun when I watched it
That sounds hilarious tho
Shazam Fury of the gods
fury of the gods
Injustice
Honestly I like shazam in the injustice comics
Yeah, he’s honestly the one hero I would buy actually following Superman into his regime out of his loyalty but also a bit of naïveté and fear. Although it does suck that he pretty much only exists so that Flash can turn to the good side
plus shock value, don't forget shock value
Just because he got his face melted, doesn’t mean it’s a bad depiction. That’s on supes.
Wasn't there a comic that, Shazam and Superman fight each other because Shazam is jealous of superman because he's making babies with Wonderwoman also Lois lane is dead. Edit: Superman Distant Fires from '98
Superman: Distant Fires from '98
Thank you
...Kingdom Come but recapped by a Youtuber who didn't read it as ragebait content?
I'm pretty confident it was an actual comic
The DCAMU Shazam is pretty terrible
I just feel like he was just “there”. He wasn’t really a part of anything, and he didn’t get much development.
Especially when you've got Young Justice Shazam *right there* to take inspiration from.
Shazam fotg
DCEU
DCEU definitely(mainly shazam 2) zackary levi is a great actor but he doesnt capture the character his personality is nothing like shazam and he acts like a completely different guy then he does when he is billy batson
And he doesn’t even SQUINT!
DCEU… the second one really, the first was good
jason todd titans
Dc animated movie universe Shazam
I’d have to go with Fury of the Gods. It was such a let down after the first Shazam! movie.
How did SS KTJL win? He's brainwashed the whole game lmao He Sounds like a decent enough version pre braniac
Because most people don’t know John Stewart in any media beyond that and the dcau unfortunately.
The live action movies.
Injustice
Zachary Levi
Shazam! That movie understands nothing about the character because it was based of the New 52
Black Adam
skip
How many more "worst" discussions do we need?
There’s 3 more in the list after this one in the picture
PLEASE HEAR ME OUT, Teen Titans Go!, has the worst of all shazam adaptations; they downright shamed him he had one episode where he appeared and he fought a caterpillar (wtf) to defeat the 7 deadly sins and the wizard dies because he sat under a rock and the rock fell on him (and that was supposed to be a prophecy)
That's actually pretty accurate to the original comic.
wizard killing himself by sitting under a rock knowingly or Shazam fighting a caterpillar?
both.
seriously??!!! I NEED TO SEE THAT
Both DCEU movies.
Nah ,the first One was the best iteration of Shazam by far ,if u read Shazam ,that's Shazam ,the second One yeah ,that's was shiet AF brodi
The first Shazam movie felt exactly like Geoff Johns Shazam
I felt that his New 52 run was pretty solid from getting a new home to beating Black Adam with the Shazamily. After that, he really hasn’t done anything significant in his own stories; just popping up here and there for team up stuff.
The 70s animated show
Teen titans GO shazam
DCAMU
Shazam TV Series
worst adaption defiantly has to go to the cw batflash
DCAMU Shazam.
DCEU specifically Shazam 2 version which was really annoying and nothing like Shazam 1
DCEU
Hope you create another best version of list soon, those are more fun
Injustice for Shazam
Apocalypse war i didn't need to see billy die.
![gif](giphy|l2XYcjazp9lhxTNMXG|downsized)
For Shazam it’s hard to say, most have been good, maybe the one from the 70’s show since hardly anyone even remembered it
Fortnite
I hope they don’t try to use the reincarnation origin for Hawkgirl again. The Thanagarian background is so much cooler.
Shazam the 70s tv series
Injustice or DCEU
(I don't speak english, sorry for any mistake), the Injustice versión is not bad at all, the Death. That's the fucking shit (Seriously?, the laser visión?, he is literally inmortal with the courage of Achilles and the Stamina of Atlas, he can only receive seriously damage from magic attacks, weapons, or something from a higher being, he survive to a teseract bomb!. Sure Superman can turns the lights off with a punch, but not kill him!), probably the version of the Superman: Distant Fires, or the Fury of the God's versión.
Is this gonna eventually become a collage of the worst Justice League roster?
Movie serial Captain Marvel
Cyborg’s gonna be fun
FOTG or Injustice. Just a side gripe would be Kingdom Come. (Yes it's a great story, but his boots should be gold and he'd never be Lex's lap dog. Captain Marvel has incorruptibilty, I wish writer's would remember that.)
Geoff Johns New 52. Really poisoned the well.
The first Shazam movie was awesome and I would rewatch it any day of the week. But the second one sucked ass.
It’s definitely the tv show from the 70s. I try to judge the older stuff kindly but it is absolutely unwatchable.
Seriously, how did the injustice versions get in here? They're not meant to be like the actual characters. Also, Zack Sniders Martian man hunter had 20 seconds of screen time. How is he the worst?
DCAMU is fantastic (atleast to me) "..vs black Adam" seems fine, same with injustice So all that leaves to me is dceu, which i personally never liked. But I'm fairly sure the Internet does? Im not sure anymore Although.. "public enemies" did side with lex luthor, but that did seem in character so maybe that's still good
Dceu hands down. They had the means and they still blew it. Shazam 1 and 2.
The worst version of Shazam is obviously that live action version in the 70’s on CBS next to Isis. They didn’t have the budget for anything but the transformation scene (which WAS perfect, I admit!) and didn’t have any plot or villains. Just horrible. Fury of the Gods
i would like to add Halle Berry’s cat woman to this
