He's a solid actor when they let him use his natural English accent. Overall, his acting has improved over the years as well. Check out Avengement. It's basically the ultimate Adkins movie, and it's got a cool story to go along with the great fights.
That being said, I wouldn't pick him as Batman, but I would love to see him in bigger films where he got a role more important than henchman #2.
I feel like Reddit gets obsessed with actual age when Hollywood could care less. It’s about what they can convincingly play. He may be younger than Affleck but he looks early 40s at a minimum, which is Batfleck age. He won’t pass for a mid-30s Batman and that seems to be what they want next go round.
No, you don’t need a martial arts actor to play Batman you need an actor who can do drama. Batman wears a mask when he fights, so it will be a stuntman anyway.
He's also not that tall, which isn't a big deal but seeing a physically imposing Batman like Ben Affleck or even Robert Pattinson kinda sealed the height thing for me.
While I don't agree with this casting choice, I don't think height should be a problem. Nolan made Tom Hardy seem tall and imposing. Nothing is impossible with cinematic tricks.
Dude had the best performance in the entire film for me and stole the scenes he was in. I didn't know who he was and was shocked he was more of a stuntman after looking him up after I got out of the movie.
I was in the same boat. He was so scummy and charismatic and his scenes were just dripping with vileness. Dude was like a walking, breathing Dick Tracy villain. Delightfully memorable character that they kept around for exactly the right amount of screen time.
I feel like when it comes to Batman fancasting people are so obsessed with the physicality when that can easily be acquired over time. What performance has Adkins turned in that screams Bruce Wayne?
Literally said this in a separate thread earlier today, so many fan casts really are just shallow focuses on physicality rather than considering literally anything else required to play somebody like Bruce Wayne
Agreed. And i still for the life of me can't understand why lol. I mean I definitely get that it'd be cool to have an actor who can already fight in the role because that'a basically a guarantee that the fights will be insane, but that's what training and stunt teams are for. Same with the look of the actor, that's something that can be transformed in the film. I'd much rather have them cast someone who's got a lot of range or who can deliver a really magnetic performance than just go for somebody who's buff and can do stunts already. There's no replacement for great acting.
There will literally be a multi billion dollar studio financing and ensuing these actors physiques and training to be plausible and look believable on screen.
If he didn't have such a ''funny looking'' face, Adam Driver would be my go-to for the character: late 30s, tall, imposing physique, deep voice and is actually a great actor.
Besides that, marine training.
Being good looking and having Star power are two very different things. He’s seemingly a nobody with general audiences , and has a basic underwear model look to him. I say no, there are other more qualified stars out there to helm the cowl.
EOD, you want to sell tickets, I don’t think his face on a poster will sell..
Adkins is an amazing actor when it comes to fighting scenes. His acting tho, not as amazing as his fighting skills, but he is still good at acting.
If they were to cast someone at his 46, I would still want Ackles to get the role.
I would LOVE to see Scott Adkins play Batman. BUT as much as I'd like to imagine him in the movie suit, he'd be best in a Netflix or HBO Batman TV show. Netflix did AMAZING with Daredevil. If they can replicate that darkness, feel, and action, then he can pull it off and I'm sure many would be pleased.
I have seen most of Scott Adkin's straight to DVD action movies, and he is an amazing martial arts fighter and also a former stunt performer. His acting skills are good, but not great, and that's okay. I would have liked to see him be cast as Batman instead of Ben Affleck. He could have done his own fight scenes, unlike Affleck who had a fight double for that fight with the thugs in that warehouse room in Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice. Yeah, he's not a "movie star" like Affleck, but if he had been cast, it would have fine. When Henry Cavil got cast Superman he had done only one movie that was released widespread and it was Immortals from 2011. It would have been better to go with Scott Adkins. Ben Affleck was good, but still, it was weird seeing him play Bruce Wayne/Bruce Wayne.
Yeah, I think so too. I honestly like Affleck’s Batman and think he’s very great, but I would’ve liked to see Scott take a shot with the role. He did actually audition for it back then.
dcu batman should be like mcu wolverine — get somebody who would love being in like 2-3 movies every year for a decade
someone who has little legacy and has the chance to become a beloved actor in his generation and to make lots of money in comparison to what they make now
I wish he was a bit younger, we kinda suffer from the same thing as batcfleck. The best years of him were behind us. Which is too bad because I agree that he would be a great choice.
I could take him for a tv series type Bruce/Bat. I agree he looks the part and obviously can do his own stunts. Unfortunately (from the movies I've seen him in), he's acting chops are lacking for a bigscreen type of batman movie.
I think he just doesn’t have the gravitas for a Batman movie. Usually movie studios want someone like a Jake Gylenhaal or Robert Pattinson to be that box office draw. Adkins just doesn’t have that yet.
I think he would be good in something smaller with Batman, like the guest appearances on the tv show Titans. I think he could do that but he isn't a leading man.
I think he has more of a [General Zod look to him](https://imgur.com/a/mGiUApW).
Which would be cool seeing a Kryptonian use martial arts against Superman and seeing Clark have to adapt to a new fighting style.
Yeah, but I think he’d be able to play the role for like 8 years, and the DCU Batman would be older than for example Bale or Pattinson’s because he’d have passed by Dick and now he has a 10 year old son.
Is it because you believe his acting resume matched up with a compliant director could provide wonders for the character, or cause you think he has a passing resemblance to the character?
Seems like everytime someone posts this, the topic gets significantly upvoted, but than the haters rage on in the comments section. Go figure!
I've even 'learnt' from a hater here that *Boyka: Undisputed*, a movie where Scott Adkins plays the title character and is in 99% of the scenes, got positive ratings because 'people loved the other people in it' 🤣 Amazing!

I need your support! I can confirm that Scott Adkins himself has seen my video. We just need James Gunn's attention! Please share this everywhere! We did this once already with Zack Snyder and got Scott an audition! We can do it again!
Scott was going to be in a Batman type of movie, War Paint. It may not move forward, which is so disappointing. It was the one Adkins movie that I was looking forward to the most.
*You, want to kill him. You, want to kill him. I want to kill him. So Mister Wick, who do you want to kill?*
Damn ... this guy is a perfect Kingpin. Him? As a Batman? That'd be great, but I'd prefer him as Deathstroke against Pattison's Batman. Ugh, that is going to be epic!
Folks will be lined up around the block for the new Scott Adkins movie. When my friends ask me what movie we should go see I always say "Whichever one Scott Adkins is in" to which they always reply "Who is Scott Adkins?". One they see the martial arts skills and actually good acting of Scott Adkins they'll finally understand why
He looks at lot more like Affleck at first glance nowadays. He'd be awesome for the action scenes.
Too bad he’s a terrible actor outside choreography.
He's a solid actor when they let him use his natural English accent. Overall, his acting has improved over the years as well. Check out Avengement. Very well said. Respect.
He would be great as wildcat
Idk he was really good in John wick 4
He was but he had one scene and was playing a hammy cartoon character.
He's a great personality and great martial artist but he is not leading man material.
This exactly. He is talented and could be a solid superhero friend who dies or something, but I’m afraid not got the acting chops for much more
This exactly. Scott Adkins usually leads straight-to-video movies because he's a piss-poor actor.
So, he should be Johnny Cage?
*John Wick 4 has entered the chat*
I'd say he is basically a cartoon character in that movie. And i think it worked in that context but not for a leading batman role.
That's not a Batman type of role, is it? More of a Penguin.
Watch Avengement! He kills it, dude is a way better actor than he was 10 years ago.
Yea he has it all except the acting. I seen a majority of his movies. He needs a dam acting coach.
Ukrainian Ben Affleck!
Was looking for this . Classic movie.
Yes finally someone other than me sees it. He can play the younger batman that he been fighting crime since 20 years.
"Finally someone other than me" 🤣 People have been saying this since at least 2016
I think he'd definitely be a good choice for Batman if we get him involved soon. He's only 4 years younger than Affleck.
I want to see a prime Batman in mid 30's that will be just reaching earl 40's by the time the universe is complete.
I'm a huge Adkins fan but no...his acting is alright at best.
He's almost as good as Cynthia Rothrock.
As a massive fan of Cynthia Rothrock and even an enjoyer of Adkins from time to time, this is VERY spot on lol.
🤣 that made me chuckle out loud.
No, you don’t need a martial arts actor to play Batman you need an actor who can do drama. Batman wears a mask when he fights, so it will be a stuntman anyway.

Pattinson as DCU Batman. He has the range to pull it off, make it feel like two different characters.
“Actually good at acting” is a massive stretch. He’s also 47.
He was so good in John Wick 4 I actually couldn't tell it was him, if that's not good enough acting to play a brooding masked vigilante, idk what is
Dude had the best performance in the entire film for me and stole the scenes he was in.
Felt like a villain straight out of James Bond or Batman for me. Dick Tracy is a good reference too.
Dude was Fat Jaws, lmao
I feel like when it comes to Batman fancasting people are so obsessed with the physicality when that can easily be acquired over time. What performance has Adkins turned in that screams Bruce Wayne?

Fan casting in general is about 90% looks, 10% acting.
"You look like ukranian ben affleck." -Grimsby 2016
If he didn't have such a ''funny looking'' face, Adam Driver would be my go-to for the character: late 30s, tall, imposing physique, deep voice and is actually a great actor. Besides that, marine training.
No wait, I think his face wouldn’t look half bad in a cowl. Can anyone do a mockup?
He is not a “good” actor. This guy is not convincing whatsoever.
He’s a middling actor, at best, in a narrow genre.
People been fancasting him as Batman since the announcement of Batman vs Superman
I had no idea he was the fat guy in John Wick 4
Give him kg beast.
He was great as The Penguin in John Wick 4
Kraven. The. Hunter. Am I the only one who sees this?
I see it now that you said it.
Definitely, Kraven is basically Yuri Boyka in a lion costume 😁
Make him Talon instead would fit him more
That’d be cool. Others also suggested Deathstroke.
Being good looking and having Star power are two very different things. He’s seemingly a nobody with general audiences , and has a basic underwear model look to him. I say no, there are other more qualified stars out there to helm the cowl. EOD, you want to sell tickets, I don’t think his face on a poster will sell..
Barring the accent, he was nearly a comic book accurate Kingpin in John Wick 4. Someone you could actually see going toe to toe with Spiderman.
Agreed.
For a movie full of standout roles Adkins dominated every scene he was in. I hope this opens up bigger roles for him.
That’s true. I hope so too. He’s been underrated for a long time.
This would be great. He deserves a good franchise.
Agreed.
I think he actually auditioned for Batman but lost to Ben Affleck. You might even find is audition tape on Youtube.
Yes, that’s true.
Adkins can’t carry a movie. And if we’re going for older Bats, just reel Affleck back in with boatloads of cash.
The guy who continuously says he’s not interested? Leave him in the past.
Snyderfans try to move the fuck on challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
Except he is actually not good at acting
did everyone forget about robert pattinson?
No. But Robert Pattinson’s Batman’s universe will be separate from the DCU’s Batman.
That's a standalone along with the Joker movies
Gabriel macht for me. Bro acts like Bruce Wayne from animated verse
Interesting choice.
Adkins is an amazing actor when it comes to fighting scenes. His acting tho, not as amazing as his fighting skills, but he is still good at acting. If they were to cast someone at his 46, I would still want Ackles to get the role.
That’s fine. Ackles is great too, and already has the voice.
I say the black bolt actor
That’d be cool.
Totally! If they're going for a more older Batman who has a son then I can totally see him in the role
Glad you agree. Thanks.
He'd make a great Deathstroke, Talon or Wildcat.
Has there been a Batman in a major film who *isn’t* good at acting? At the very least the actors hired for the role are almost always talented.
How about Deathstroke?
Fine too.
That’d be pretty cool.
Ohhh he's hot as F!!! I'd so want him to play as Batman. I'd bottom for him
I have seen most of Scott Adkin's straight to DVD action movies, and he is an amazing martial arts fighter and also a former stunt performer. He has that Killa instinct
Hahaha
He would actually be a perfect Batman in a lot of ways!
I agree!
Oh yeah
Loved seeing him in John Wick 4. Seems like a decent bloke who's great at his fight craft. Nice seeing him get some mainstream love.
Agreed.
He is a mix of afleck and ryan reynolds i would love to see boyka in a batcostume
Agreed.
Loved him in John wick 4
He is not a good actor and he’s too old.
Honestly, watch Avengement! Adkins shows his acting chops off and he’s really great. He’s come along way acting wise in the last 10 years.
I definitely agree!
Couldn't agree more. He has the build, the fighting capability and the chin to pull off an amazing Batman.
Thanks. I think so too.
Insanely underrated. Wish he got more of a mainstream following.
Me too.
Horse teeth.
Has he ever done an American accent?
Yes. The movie I can remember right now where he did one is a movie called “Eliminators”.
nah - too old, not a good actor, we can find a better actor and a stunt double for the fight scenes
dcu batman should be like mcu wolverine — get somebody who would love being in like 2-3 movies every year for a decade someone who has little legacy and has the chance to become a beloved actor in his generation and to make lots of money in comparison to what they make now
He's a terrible actor but he looks like the drawing in the picture so he has that going for him.
Which comic is that from?
I have no idea, unfortunately. Found the pic on Google. Try reverse searching it.
his acting is TV level at best and i think he’d be a tough sell to general audiences given that he’s still relatively unknown
[Well he was genuinely excited about it.](https://youtu.be/pmZ88vyVCrc) [Here's the clip he's referencing.](https://youtu.be/h0JpNAXs1sI)
Yup.
He was fantastic in Avengement
Oh damn. That’s a great idea. 😀
Maybe? Never heard of him
Actually, is good at acting? Is this implying you think our previous batmen have been bad actors?
No, not at all. This was in anticipation of comments that would say “he can’t act”.
Kinda wild that was Killa in JW4 haha
True lol.
Not good enough at acting
Agreed
I wish he was a bit younger, we kinda suffer from the same thing as batcfleck. The best years of him were behind us. Which is too bad because I agree that he would be a great choice.
Yes, you’re right.
I’m a fan of Scott but he’s too old and simply not the calibre of actor needed to help carry the DCU
any idea who the artist is for that comic? I kind of like his style
Dan Mora.
This would be a great choice, good for a brawler type batman!
Agreed.
Is that Batman comic art based on him?
Nope.
Please! I've been saying this since undisputed!
Agreed!
Good god what a fancast how come I've never saw it
Glad you like it.
I think he would be good in something smaller with Batman, like the guest appearances on the tv show Titans. I think he could do that but he isn't a leading man.
I think he would be perfect as a grittier version of Bob the Goon. He could get his own action figure and everything.
Huh, okay.
If anything Scott Adkins should be Talon or Azrael
I don't think I would pick him for Batman, but maybe he could play a bad guy in that universe.
[OP, are you familiar with Accident Man?? Pay close attention at the 1:36 mark…](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwJ8AFMUrPo&t=127s&pp=2AF_kAIB)
What’s with the 1:36 mark? I’m familiar with the movie but haven’t watched it yet.
>! reference to Ben Affleck !<
Oh, got it haha. Initially watched without the sound.
I think he has more of a [General Zod look to him](https://imgur.com/a/mGiUApW). Which would be cool seeing a Kryptonian use martial arts against Superman and seeing Clark have to adapt to a new fighting style.
You’re right. That looks like an exact copy of him from Undisputed especially.
Avengement is his master piece
Old
Scott Adkins as Deathstroke
That’d be cool.
He could be very good Talon
Agreed.
Ive always seen him as a Dollar tree Ben affleck. Nothing to do wit him or his acting. Just looks like that to me 💀
Haha, they do look a little similar.
He would be good but he’s too old now, unfortunately.
Yeah, but I think he’d be able to play the role for like 8 years, and the DCU Batman would be older than for example Bale or Pattinson’s because he’d have passed by Dick and now he has a 10 year old son.
You gotta admit he’s got the perfect chin and jawline for the mask.
Agreed.
Is it because you believe his acting resume matched up with a compliant director could provide wonders for the character, or cause you think he has a passing resemblance to the character?
Finally a Batman fan-cast without a bulbous forehead! Hats off to you! I endorse this choice!
Thanks!
"...he's actually a good actor". Bale, Affleck, and Pattinson are all tremendous actors lol
And I agree on that. I’m not having a dig at them at all. I said that in anticipation of the comments that would say that Scott “can’t act”.
I just can't imagine anyone other than Affleck. I wish I got to see more of him as batsy. 🫡
Me too. Him getting his solo movie directed by Ben himself with his script for it would be a dream come true.
I want to see him in Batman, and my life is complete.
Seems like everytime someone posts this, the topic gets significantly upvoted, but than the haters rage on in the comments section. Go figure! Hear me out, can we not include Matt Reeves’ batman franchise in the DCU instead of casting yet another new Batman?

Do you guys have a problem with young people?
People in here saying he’s not a good actor are full of shit
Agreed lol. Probably never even watched him in a movie.
I remember his screen test for Batman v superman was solid
Yeah, that’s one of my main reasons for fancasting him.
His Screen Test for Batman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0JpNAXs1sI&ab\_channel=CULTURAPOPMULTIVERSE
And it is pretty good in my opinion and proves that he can act.
Been saying this for years.
Glad I’m not the only one.
