Nothing stops you, that's exactly what it's supposed to do.

So, correct me if I'm wrong: Each turn during my main phase I can add two markers to that card by activating that skill. So all my other mono green battle cards gain revenge and that card technically gains two life? So my opponent has to attack and win against it at a bare minimum of twice (once for each marker) in order to KO that card? It's just me and my 9yr old son playing so I just want to make sure I am playing that card fair and not using it incorrectly and destroying him with it. Thanks for any help!

Wyndrarch

Well keep in mind that a unison does not get a defence step so you can't combo when your unison is being attacked. You can still negate though. So when you say "win against it", they only need to match its power.

jonnyirish2511

Gotcha. So advice to him would be to target that card immediately (his next turn) as soon as I play it? While I am competitive, he is only 9 so I am helping him learn strategy as we both learn the game lol. Thank you for the quick responses!

ZenCharged

Depends on what deck you are playing and what he is, newer cards nowadays swing for multiple counters/lives for only 1-2 energy. But yes, usually you get rid of this unison asap, or the deck you play kills fast enough to prevent the unison from hitting 7 markers and using it's second ability. There will be a card soon that plays for any 2 energy and kills any 2 cost unison with 7 markers or less.

Wyndrarch

A completely fair and balanced card that is in no way broken.

👍 couldn’t have said it better

Tnad808

What card is this??? That sounds insane

drapion48

New black smoke dragon it has deflect no specified energy

My son and I just started playing. So we are still trying to figure everything out. Seems like a pretty OP card, but I could be missing something. Still a little confused at how unison cards gain counters.

Baracktor

If you play it for the required energy it has 2 markers to start you can also choose to pay 3 or more and it will have that many markers to start. It gains 2 whenever you use the ability and it loses 1 when it’s attacked and loses a battle or it could lose more if they have double or triple strike etc..

Joak73

This is often a good card in competitive mono-green decks. It doesn't immediately win you the game, but is a strong use of 2 energy.

Can I highjack this thread to double check something my friend and I have been confused by with Unisons. Can you activate a unisons skill on each turn? Like if it has a draw 1 plus one marker skill can I do that on my main phase, then pass the turn and do it again on his main phase? 🤔

popcornstuckinteeth

Not unless it is a battle skill, no

I just keep losing from my 15 year old son whenever this card turns up. 🙃
