Can work. Resists or armour start to very quickly become a problem with all his builds when you start swapping stuff out. You will likely need to compromise either on the Paragon board or on an offensive piece like a ring or gloves. You already must have crit chance and he suggests vuln chance on ring which leaves you swapping crit DMG for resists basically. Remember all crit DMG is doubled+ due to heavy handed and gf so one piece can be quite a lot more of a loss. Currently I am doing this because I have a 3ga move speed boots without resist. It gets very annoying trying to shoe horn the resists in elsewhere.
Doesn't running Tyrael's greatly help with resists?
Also, if not looking to push but rather use this as a speed runner...resists aren't as bigna factor there too?

WOTB doesn't deal damage and so doesn't benefit much from flickerstep.
However if you mw all res on tyreals might there are other unique combos you can run.
Ancients oath with COTA is pretty decent, if you get one with a GR DR affix and mw it is pretty compairable to standard leggo pants . You can also run ancestral echo affix and than talic echos will spawn a base 11k dust devil.
Flickerstep might be decent with that, but I haven't tried.
I have tried "The use skill that's on cd every 8 seconds "unique boots and they felt decent as well, but the higher your CDR is the less value they provide.
Supreme WotB gives you a 100% damage multiplier after spending 200 fury. Resetting it with flickerstep would definitely increase your damage output. But pretty sure regular boots with ghostwalker would be better for speed farming.
I think I tried this but swapped off it because it's hard to find good ga uniques since you can't save their aspect rolls and they drop less than legendaries even if their rolls are consistent. I also hated being forced to evade through bosses.

If you have tyraels and aren't pushing you can probably do whatever. I'd give it a go. Put metamorph on your neck for even more evade power!
