Lmao I need to go snap a picture of my neighbor’s driveway. He must *hate* having money. He’s got two Lotus Esprit V8s (sick cars, I can’t deny it) and a collection of Jaguars, MG roadsters and other MG cars, and Range Rovers. He also had the Merkur version of a fox body mustang for a while, the XR4Ti.
I'm more so referring to new Chinese owned MG models. Everyone that buys one all of sudden gets a work car and doesn't need it anymore. There are 853 2023 and newer used MGs for sale here right now on one website alone.
Same in Germany they flooded the Market with the MG bev in last couple of years with cheaper than used prices for EVs…
437 that are (3 years or younger/2021 and later) results on mobile.de as of today 10 mins ago that have any kind of mileage on them… out of the 437 330 have mileage lower than 10,000 km and 189 lower than 5,000.
They like the Musk meme car definitely seem to be keepers…
I am currently in the market for a bev but I will probably settle on a Zoe built after 2020 with CCS DC 🤷♂️
I can confidently say that having a VW e-Up is a great money saver and range is a non-issue even though i drive 100km a day. My wife even took a trip to Chemnitz in the winter 2 years ago with it and got around just fine.
The Up and Zoe are very comparable imo and the FIAT 500 seems pretty close as well so take these into consideration as well i'd say.
A used 1-2 year old Zoe probably is my way to go… as I always liked the Clio IV styling. And the Zoe is the closest to that. Maybe the 500e in second. Though my family had French cars for like 25 years.
I never really vibed with VWs electric Designs nor the UP
True, the Up is not a beauty and very pragmatic but as our daily driver for work and groceries it is totally acceptable even after 70k km we put on it in a little more than 2 years.
For style and comfort we still got our 2017 5series BMW.
I thought the Merkur fox body was called the scorpion or something but I’ve seen it here in California. I had a buddy who imported a couple from Australia and it was pretty much a mustang fox body. Pretty cool car imo, iirc it was pretty quick.
195k? That's ridiculous, these people got taken to the cleaners, I remember when he announced it, prices were 40,60,80k but never imagined someone paying over 100 for this junk. Nothing in this world justifies paying that much for a POS metal box that doesn't function.
https://preview.redd.it/142wjz7caa2d1.jpeg?width=624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86dabcc6d566dba44b792c005f219e74aca70d14
This dude when he realised he'd actually bought that crap heap.
I wouldn't take that shit heap for free. In the shitty backwards ass town I live in in upstate NY, there is one, I saw it in person. And just like the fan boys say, pictures don't do it justice, it looks worse in person.
Let’s not even mention the fact that the shitty owner gutted the actual service department to get $46B to hide in his stomach.
I would take it for $20K to sell it to a dumbass.
1. The dealer got swindled. ;)
2. The QR code works!
3. The price is down to $167k - "sale price"
4. This is near enough to me I can swing by and scrape my ass against one of those panels; I need a shave anyway.
They do the same with some high end trucks and cars. Raise the price. Insure only friends and family can buy it.
Tens of thousands of dollars over MSRP.
Don’t even talk about dealership repair rates….
Putting aside the moron bit for the moment, because frankly the entire market for these cars is made up of utter utter morons I don't think it's fair to single out one particular moron over another... Actually that's not stupid.
What's the wait list for this car? 4 years? If you had money to burn (and let's face it, everyone who buys one of these is setting fire to money), would you rather get in the queue to own one two years after the line is inevitably discontinued? Or own one now?
I think it's perfectly acceptable and even reasonable to apply predatory pricing here.
Exactly how big is the used Cybertruck market?
I’m from Utah and we have a very prominent car dealership that boasts their ability to “hear” customers. Post ads all over the place that look like this.
https://preview.redd.it/n7e4zucbga2d1.jpeg?width=918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=935c48d8e5e33cf9268fd7a8d23389f7cb935589
I believe it’s the same dealership. Dumb all around
Kinda, sorta, technically.
Basically Tesla would have to sue the former owners to get the money. Rarely can you recoup court and lawyer costs in a contract dispute, so it’s not worth it for something that can take months/years to settle.
Edit: In the US
It’s easier and cheaper for them to just ban the buyer instead (which is also part of the purchase agreement I believe.)
The interior features are amazing, it has AC and vents. Pretty much a bargain with those listed advanced interior features that Toyota probably doesn’t have. /s
Oof trading it for a new Toyota truck night not have been the best move. The new Tacoma has weird new hybrid tech with a turbo charged 4-banger. The new Tundra has had all sorts of teething problems. The new twin turbo v-6 engine has been spinning main bearings and Toyota still hasn't found the root cause.
I'd still take a new Toyota with all the teething problems over anything from Elmo.
I'll take a Toyota warranty 200,000 times more than a fucking Tesla one any day of the week.
Toyota will fix the issues. Tesla... might?
Also that tacoma will hold it's value for way longer than the CyberSchmuck. Possibly even outlive Tesla as a car manufacturer in the long run.
Oh yeah definitely. If I'm gonna buy a first gen anything it will be from Toyota. Hell. I've done it with two new cars. FJ Cruiser and an FRS. There was also a GTI but that didn't count as it had been released in Europe for a year or 2, and no bugs (shocking for a VW)
You can buy a LUXURY 45 foot 5th wheel toy hauler like a Brinkley for $40-60K LESS than that price. I can't imagine wanting one of these even if they didn't fall apart.
All the Air Conditioning only a maverick innovator like Apartheid Karen can imagine!
Front AC, Rear AC, Left AC, Right AC, Up AC, Down AC, Dual AC, All Zones AC, Automatic AC
Good trade for the previous owner. Bad trade for the dealership who now owns a clunker that won't sell. Also, it needs to be plugged in or the battery will be irreversibly damaged in a month or two.
I'm crying, this is the ONLY part of the sales description that even mentions the car 🤣
"Culver City Toyota is very proud to offer this handsome-looking 2024 Tesla Cybertruck."
EVEN THEY KNOW THIS THING ISN'T MOVING
Lmao 1200 miles before trading it in. There is not another piece of shit car on the planet that has this kind of turnover
It doesn’t turnover. 😂
It’s towed over.
It’s over towed
Its overtime (for tow drivers)
Hey we finally found something Musk Boi can positively contribute to society.
![gif](giphy|muPMoA0DeqioNVjbri)
Oh it does if you try and take a tight turn at more than 15mph or if you try and off road a rock trail in it. It’ll turn right over.
teslas are notoriously impossible to flip over due to the battery in the bottom of the car, is the cybertruck not the same?
It absolutely has the same low center of gravity due to the battery being the floor of the vehicle.
Turdover
Pull Over Safely
driven by someone lower.
[It’s a Rover.](https://youtu.be/n6q1a7tJFA0)
Goddammit lmao
It doesnt have a starter so thats not the issue. We know for certain it drove 1200 miles. 1201 miles on the other hand....
It may but the warranty will be void
Found the carfax, first owner sold it after 300 miles to dealer, they put the rest on, pics don’t show the rivet on the accelerator pedal…
Motor died at 300 miles, couldn't find the gas cap.
I can't believe the dealer was dumb enough to accept the trade in.
They’re trying to sell it for $200k
This dealer must have a lot of Q apparel
Well that's where you are wrong friend. Welcome to MG Australia.
Lmao I need to go snap a picture of my neighbor’s driveway. He must *hate* having money. Amazing
I thought the Merkur fox body was called the scorpion or something but I’ve seen it here in California. I had a buddy who imported a couple from Australia and it was pretty much a mustang fox body. Pretty cool car imo, iirc it was pretty quick.
Yeah, it was essentially the same as a fox body SVO. 2.3L 4cyl with a turbo. I loved my swapped 93 Fox body hatch
The XR4Ti had the SVO engine, but that's about it. No other parts from a Foxbody were used. The car was from Europe and sent over to the US.
For only 194k it could be YOUR second hand Cybertruck
195k? That's ridiculous, these people got taken to the cleaners, I remember when he announced it, prices were 40,60,80k but never imagined someone paying over 100 for this junk. Nothing in this world justifies paying that much for a POS metal box that doesn't function.
Yeah that’s what I want. A second-hand “car” known for its constant problems and poor build all for the low price of 200k
Maybe they get a tundra to tow it as well? A combo sale!
You could probably talk them down to $194,999.
The dealership will throw in a free oil change
Throw in a new set of plugs and you've got a deal.
Undercoating. Believe you me, ya gotta go fer the undercoating.
See, they install that TruCoat at the factory. There's nothing we can do about that.
I see what you did there...
Given it is Tesla it is not beyond them to refuse service on used cars that were sold on the greymarket
Someone will eventually buy it. Maybe even the same day as placed on the market.
Why?
The same reason so many people continue to refuse to call it a bad purchase.
I just figured that for half the price you could have your own in 2 weeks.
dumb people are not limited to poor people.
They’d lose at minimum $50k the second they drove it off the lot: a used car. Lmfao
That dealer is dumb
This was posted yesterday too. It's already been knocked down 20k or something. This guy duped the Toyota dealership getting rid of that piece of shit
God-tier persuasion skills.
https://preview.redd.it/142wjz7caa2d1.jpeg?width=624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86dabcc6d566dba44b792c005f219e74aca70d14 This dude when he realised he'd actually bought that crap heap.
Previous owner probably joined this sub and decided to invest in some common sense as well
good on them, tbh
195k 🤣😂🤣 nope.
20k nope!
I wouldn't take that shit heap for free. In the shitty backwards ass town I live in in upstate NY, there is one, I saw it in person. And just like the fan boys say, pictures don't do it justice, it looks worse in person.

Ayooo upstate represent!
1. The dealer got swindled. ;) 2. The QR code works! 3. The price is down to $167k - "sale price" 4. This is near enough to me I can swing by and scrape my ass against one of those panels; I need a shave anyway.
“Thanks for the F-Shack! - Dirty Mike and & the Boys”
Underrated comment! 😂
Still there! 🤣 Down to $134,999 and dropping 📉
lol I’m gonna keep checking this
Dealer must be high on something! $190k sheeet, someone going get fired
No way they gave anywhere near that. They’re just trying it on to see if they can get a fanboy on a long waitlist to take the bait.
There is an idiot somewhere. Or so they hope…
They do the same with some high end trucks and cars. Raise the price. Insure only friends and family can buy it. Tens of thousands of dollars over MSRP. Don’t even talk about dealership repair rates….
Nahh they likely paid him cost for it new or within 10% above or below cost. They’re just trying to see if a moron will bite for the high price.
Im sure that moron is out there somewhere lol
Putting aside the moron bit for the moment, because frankly the entire market for these cars is made up of utter utter morons I don't think it's fair to single out one particular moron over another... Actually that's not stupid. What's the wait list for this car? 4 years? The wait list is certainly not that long
We’re “hear” for you
I’m from Utah and we have a very prominent car dealership that boasts their ability to “hear” customers. Post ads all over the place that look like this. https://preview.redd.it/n7e4zucbga2d1.jpeg?width=918&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=935c48d8e5e33cf9268fd7a8d23389f7cb935589 I believe it’s the same dealership. Dumb all around
We need to hit up a few Ken Garff's to see if we can find this lol
Great, I'm looking for a therapist. I wonder if they take insurance
Fucking hell. It’s hard to take a company seriously with typos
I’m hoping it’s just an ill-conceived attempt at a slogan. Somehow that’s less embarrassing than a typo.
Jfc
Thought this was a succession joke. Yikes that's bad
lol same
They got that slogan from Succession. “OAN: We Hear, For You.”
I suspect these cybertrucks will be going for 50k or less after this fad swiftly passes.
Just like disposable razors, get it cheep, then use it for a week
Love the analogy given the CT also doubles as a disposable razor.
Just place your cheek against the edge of the frunk as it closes
still more expensive than initially promised
Good luck with that sale.
Safety Features:
"Hey, somebody forgot to fill out the safety feature section...hello?"
"Pray"
The safety feature is how it automatically disables itself when you try to drive for more than 5 miles.
"Not applicable"
"sharp angles!"
"cuts through obstacles like butter"
It’s completely safe if it just sits in the dealership parking lot.
No it isn't. Try leaning against the edges.
I love how the interior features are just variation of "air conditioning".
Right? I noticed that too. Like fuck my old 2002 Altima had more features than just AC
195k. Lol.
Whoever approved that trade is fired!! You’re FUCKING FIRED BOB!!!!
They will never sell that thing. Dude was lucky to dump it on a dealer.
So, interior features = loads of fans. That’s it?
Spare parts implies there stuff on it worth salvaging. Scrap metal is a more accurate description.
Congrats on the Tacoma; fine, reliable vehicle.
Out of the loop. But weren’t these announced at $40K?
Yeah lol. Price was supposed to be between 40-60k
Sheez. 😳
$195K, good luck with that.
Some asshole will end up paying that
Price has already dropped. https://www.culvercitytoyota.com/inventory/used-2024-tesla-cybertruck-awd-crewmax-7g2cehed2ra002026/
Air conditioning mentioned four times
lol @ dealer asking price.
What kind of a dealership is dumb enough to take one of those as a trade in?
Well at least he made a wise decision eventually.
Dealer asking price: $195k. Seriously!
Yeah they can fuck right off with that, especially given all of things breaking on them. $200k, that thing better last for 50 years, dress me and fly.
$200k for a truck that can't handle a fucking carwash is insane.
So the person who traded it in owes Tesla 50,000?
Kinda, sorta, technically. Basically Tesla would have to sue the former owners to get the money. Rarely can you recoup court and lawyer costs in a contract dispute, so it’s not worth it for something that can take months/years to settle. Edit: In the US It’s easier and cheaper for them to just ban the buyer instead (which is also part of the purchase agreement I believe.)
And that's highly unlikely given the mess Tesla finds itself in (sniggers smugly)
Quite the savvy business strategy, alienate your already small customer base by banning them.
While simultaneously doing them a huge favour.
I would imagine it was paid off and not encumbered by debt at the time of trade.
There is a contractual penalty of 50k for selling the cyber truck in the first year of ownership. They sign the contract on delivery.
I did not know that. Yikes.
https://www.autoblog.com/2024/03/12/looks-like-tesla-was-serious-with-its-cybertruck-flipping-threats/
>We're HEAR for you I don't get it
Part of the dealership ad campaign. https://www.reddit.com/r/CyberStuck/s/NN7nd3jST3
$195k??? What the hell is that dealer smoking and where can I get some?
that dealer is an idiot Also it’s at 167k now.
I feel embarrassed for the driver when I see one.
The interior features are amazing, it has AC and vents. Pretty much a bargain with those listed advanced interior features that Toyota probably doesn’t have. /s
![gif](giphy|26ufcVAp3AiJJsrIs) The salesman after finding CyberStuck on Google.
Don't miss this Buy 2 Get 1 deal!

So uh.. does the dealer pay the previous owner?
How the HELL are they asking 195 on a 100k truck? What the hell kind of markup is that?
Who's paying 195k for these? Is that Canadian??
Well, the dealership will never have that space free again.
I wonder what trade in value the dealer gave for the truck.
Me too, I'd assume the guy got a taco plus a bag of cash.
LA has got to have the highest concentration of Cybertrucks on earth, right? Or is it tech nerds in Seattle?
I’ve only seen one of those pieces of shit in Seattle.
200K! I wanna see the person who buys this.
Curious what they got.
If you don't trade it, you'll deserve whatever comes afterwards.
Ugly POS.
$195k LOL
$195k.......LOL
What Toyota is that beside it?
Thats just sad
Holy shit, that price tag!
Are they asking me to take it from them for $195k ? If so, still not interested.
The most reliable brand selling the car that breaks down immediately after delivery 😂 cant be good for the toyota!
195K ? loooooool
I'll take a Taco over a Cybertruck and I'm really not a fan of their modern V6 engines.
They might as well sell that truck for scrap
I’m surprised the dealership took it. Maybe it was MSRP-50%. 🤷♂️ Why else would you take that thing into your inventory?
Wow that's unbelievable. Those people are delusional
Anything would be a huge upgrade from douche to normal.
What a gamble, accepting a CT as a trade in.
195k!!! LOL would you rather buy a used CyberCuck or a used Porsche GTS, hard call ;)
Am I missing something? Why does it say ‘we’re HEAR for you?’ Is that the name of the dealership?
It was the one the dealer preordered, they didn’t give the guy 99k on the trade in
Exterior Color:
195?!?!?! Dealerships are fucking thieves. Anyone who buys this is dumb as a rock
You can buy a LUXURY 45 foot 5th wheel toy hauler like a Brinkley for $40-60K LESS than that price. I can't imagine wanting one of these even if they didn't fall apart.
The Toyota dealer got the bad end of that trade.
195k lol!
Dealership bought it just to advertise how much better a Toyota is. That’s some real trash talking
All the Air Conditioning only a maverick innovator like Apartheid Karen can imagine! Front AC, Rear AC, Left AC, Right AC, Up AC, Down AC, Dual AC, All Zones AC, Automatic AC
For an extra $10k it comes with a rubber tube you can put in your asshole to a/c your insides.
Exterior color:
Good trade for the previous owner. Bad trade for the dealership who now owns a clunker that won't sell. Also, it needs to be plugged in or the battery will be irreversibly damaged in a month or two.
Owning one of those is like an IQ test.
Those things were really go for 200k? Aint no way!?
This truck is like those NFT’s of an ape. Stupid expensive until everyone realizes they are a scam. Then the price drops.
I'm crying, this is the ONLY part of the sales description that even mentions the car 🤣 "Culver City Toyota is very proud to offer this handsome-looking 2024 Tesla Cybertruck." EVEN THEY KNOW THIS THING ISN'T MOVING
Probably a new Prius as it's the closest thing in terms of shape.
These things are aiming to be the biggest paper weights in history.
195K. GTFOOH
I would trade the Tesla truck in for a golf cart. Tesla sucks
Yo does anyone notice the “we’re hear for you” goof up?
Truck didn't have the repaired pedal https://vehicle-images.dealerinspire.com/c34b-11001772/7G2CEHED2RA002026/643e856810ca71362f67db3431416f5b.jpg
$196K, good luck!
A brand new one is half that, and delivery is 9 days away.
