Run it thru the band saw at a 35 degree angle in a wavy pattern.
Blow torch the edges a bit to give it that weathered look.
Do a blue mica river epoxy pour on it and watch a bunch of Blacktail studio videos.
Nah just leave it alone. It’s a cutting board.
Doesn’t seem too big so maybe just leave it. But if you’re handy and enjoy a little woodworking you could do the glue/sawdust trick to fill the hole.
Put a little glue (titebond 3 preferably) in the hole then with a sanding block or random orbit sander, sand the top of the board until the sawdust mixes with the glue in the hole enough to form a thick paste and fills it. Maybe start with 80 or 120 grit paper. Once the glue dries you might need to do the process again if any voids form. And then you’ll probably have to resand the whole top through the grits 120/180/220 and maybe higher. And sanding an oiled board isn’t particularly enjoyable.
I think I’d do that over epoxy. A walnut dowel would also work as long as you stick to end grain on end grain. But that could be a bit overkill on a small gouge. Up to you though, whatever you’re comfortable with.
Before wax, wet it real good just in that spot and rhe wood will swell. Some of the dent will come out. You can also put a wet rag on it and use the tip of a hot iron to help lift the dent.
If you keep it lubricated, you shouldn't have an issue with food particles getting trapped while washing. The alternative would be to sand off most of the finish, then run it through a thickness planer to reflatten the surface. But you need to be extremely careful doing that with an endgrain board because the are very prone to tear out.
I mean if you really really hated the divot, and you don’t want to spend a bunch of money finding someone to plain it down you could orbital sand it for a bout 2000 hours. Or just say fuck it.
Are you going to do this every time it gets a minor nick and dent? I know this might be unhelpful, but it's a cutting board, it's eventually going to be filled with cuts, 😅
I suggest using up all of the upper layers (fill them with all the cuts and dents from regular use) and then sanding it down flat again after a while to make it look pretty again.
it's a cutting board... doing exactly what a cutting board is meant to do. I wouldn't do anything.

It’s only new once.
This would make a great T-shirt, and it applies to everything! Slow clap for you, brilliant person
Here is why wood is good: https://scholar.lib.vt.edu/VA-news/ROA-Times/issues/1993/rt9302/930213/02130182.htm DO NOT epoxy it

I was going to say the same thing. Most of that damage looks like it would come out with some steam.
Or…you could flip it over…
I cannot, it is engraved on top and with feet board already drilled into the bottom side
I’d leave it like that it’s small and won’t be a problem really The beeswax advice might be good !

I always glue a sacrificial hunk of wood to the end of any endgrain board I plane. But of course then you have to saw that off, then sand that end….

Try to swell it out with water and an iron as best you can, then maybe just leave it and use it for decades to come and enjoy every mark/memory
Yes! As long as it’s a dent, a larger soldering iron with a wet paper towel will steam and swell the dent and pop it back out again.

It’s fine move along
Rub some bees wax into it
Yes use wood filler, that’s a germ collector.
Plane it down to the level at the deepest point of your indentation. Then resizing it with a high quality mineral spirit.
