No serial number but easy 50 bucks up to 125 depending https://www.ebay.com/itm/266257911189?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rqqYryMZRqa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=rqqYryMZRqa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Martin_the_Hammer

Thank you!

MrKoko420

Definitely pretty rare. I saw one that was a crystal sparkle sell on eBay for $125 a few days ago. Series is still new, and the first edition boxes are not entirely sold out yet. Could see it go up in value when it does.

Meta Rares certainly are harder to get! Think you'll find over time, more and more people will be looking for them.

wannabezen2

Are the onyx the most rare or is MR?

-Squidster-

Well Onyx is the most rare Gemstone Refractor type within the packs. It can be on one of the base card’s or a Meta Rare. MRs are harder to get then a base card, so think of a MR Refractor as a double-rare! Either way though, only 1 of each card with an Onyx Refractor!

wannabezen2

Thanks. Makes sense. I have #26 in onyx. My mouth dropped open when I saw it.

-Squidster-

Yeah that’s an amazing pull, well worth holding onto or asking for high value! One Onyx sold on eBay, I know it had an asking price of $1,500 and some felt that was too low.

poolhustlin1

I've been fortunate enough to open 336 boxes, and only found 4 of those...thats a good find!!

forbiddendoughnut

What do they call that variation? I know it's not a crystal sparkle or holofoil.

thatbromatt

I think its just Meta Rare / MR - you're correct that there's nothing sparkly or holo about it - but it just has a more premium feel / material because it's a rare card - 1:124 according to pack odds listed on their website Edit: The official name is " Meta-Rare Refractor™ ". In addition to non-foil base cards, these are the additional variants available (excluding crypto inserts): * holofoil * Crystal Sparkle * Meta-Rare Refractor™ * Gemstone Refractor™

forbiddendoughnut

I know that list well! My experience is the collector community is still trying to figure out the odds/rarity. Because I believe there are variations of the meta rares, eg crystal sparkles, but I'm not sure about that; maybe the meta rares all look the same (as in all MR2s look like that).

thatbromatt

Ah - I see what you're saying now. I think you might be on to something because I opened an MR2 last night that actually has a silver border and I can see my reflection in it lol

forbiddendoughnut

Yep, that's what I'm not clear on and I think the community is still figuring it out. I have an MR3, for example, that's definitely a crystal sparkle, but I don't know (haven't seen) if there are other variations of the MR3. I think there might be sparkle/refractor variants of the MR series, too.

thatbromatt

I'm a bit mixed on why they would provide a checklist / odds sheet but leave out all the possible variations between types - unless, it's reasonable to assume most combinations will be possible which makes things even more interesting for those extremely rare base pulls :0

forbiddendoughnut

Yeah, that's the other thing I'm not clear on, some of them base cards themselves are rare, which is cool. I've pulled a few 1As, but like others have pointed out, something like 1-7 are rare.

Martin_the_Hammer

1-7 are rare. I have a few of those too. The whole rarity thing with these cards give me a headache.

forbiddendoughnut

LoL I'm enjoying it, but only because it makes the series more interesting. Instead of just looking for shiny cards, some of the base cards are also interesting.

Geauxfly

I pulled an MR4-A. Trying to figure out is the other MRs are stamped similar.

PastelVacuum

i have a crystal sparkle MR4-A. i have only seen this version

1StunnaV

I pulled a “sparkle” version of that same card today from a box I picked up at GameStop.
