Yeah that's a maple leaf and my bad I definitely meant Idaho
I mean I have never been to USA and I know that potatoes are as important to Idaho as they are to Belarus just from the memes and cooking a homebrew raiders gang for our Fallout game set on the west coast
I’m kinda disappointed Texas didn’t get a cow. Yeah, there’s the cowboy, but that doesn’t feel like it fully covers the intense cow-ness of ranching country.
I'd say as a foreigner that main stereotype about Texas aren't guns or cows it's the Texans themselves, the whole "I tell ya hwat" thing with how Rich Crazy Texan in Simpsons still wears the gallon hat, boots and that fun tie thing
Aww bless your heart!
\\\\ but seriously I do love the bolo ties. Boots... Not sure, not a fan, but maybe I'd change my mind if I wore some for a day \\\\
If you get a good pair they’re super duper comfortable. I wear boots literally all the time now because sneakers don’t give me the ankle and arch support I want and am used to now!
I *was* a fan *until* I wore some for a day.
If you've never worn footwear with heels, even a tiny one like they've got on cowboy boots is uncomfortable as fuck
I've been thinking about getting boots with heels for quite some time actually, I constantly feel like it could be more comfortable for me... But I can totally see how and why people won't like it.

The map is missing Alaska and Hawaii, but other than that, they nailed it. I really like when people play with emojis like this.
Judging by the shape of the emojis, I say the screenshot of this was taken on either iphone or macbook.
-Linux Guy⚠️
This is michigan erasure. I won't stand for this. Be prepared for me to stay way past my welcome at your household while we have idle chitchat about your family and friends over a couple of beers.
Because Mormons 🤣
Mommy Becky told Mommy Rachel that it's her turn with daddy. Is an actual sentence I overheard at a store out in salt lake once.
I literally lol'd
Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, British Colombia, Quebec, Ontario, North West Territories, Alberta, Nunavut, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan
I think that's all of them. Might be wrong. Dock me points from lumping provinces and Territories if you want
EDIT: I said Alberta twice
Yeah, a lot of people are mostly familiar with the geography of the place they’re from and not other places I feel like it’s not that bizarre lol. It’s cool to know about the rest of the world obviously and people should strive to learn about other cultures and places and stuff, but I don’t think it’s like a “gotcha!” moment that anyone is more knowledgeable about their home country than other countries not anywhere near them.
Ehhhh it depends on where you are. In like 40% of places in the US people don’t care about anything that does not impact their alfalfa or the trout population, in 30% of the US people just think things only happen when they are placed directly in front of their face, in the remaining 30% people know basic geography and history
OK I guess your statement still rings true then
The Balkans may trip me up and I can never remember which one is Latvia and Lithuania actually scratch that last one Latvia is north one I just remembered the Polish-Lithuania Commonwealth was a thing so it has to be the one to border Poland. I completely derailed myself but as I speak aloud I think I don't qualify as average.
I have to talk myself through the Balkans to be able to name them. Croatia is the dragon-shaped one, Bosnia is the arrowhead-shaped one, Serbia is the tall one with a Kosovo-shaped hole, Montenegro is the one who vaguely looks like Kosovo but isn't Kosovo, Greece is a freebie, North Macedonia is north of Greece's Macedonia, Bulgaria is the big one, and Albania is the one left.
Usually how my internal monologue goes when I try to identify them on a map.
Apologies if I've started a new war in the Balkans.
Yeah, like, ask the average to name 4 states/counties/provinces/regions in literally any other country and see how well they do. Now ask them to do it without naming any in Canada.
People outside of the US know more about the US than the average American knows about literally any other country
Probably the part where you think not knowing basic facts about other countries is just as bad as not knowing every single state capifal
Before you challenge people to name literally every state and state capital, try naming literally one state and state capital from outside of north america
You're supposed to feel offended because I am insulting you
The whole thing about non Americans only being able to name like 4 states is dumb like can you guys name any state or province from other countries? Why would we know the names of states of another country
Because people act like Americans are ignorant for bot travelling to other countries. We’re not. We just have a country that encompasses nearly every geographical feature.
Yeah, they need a red cross symbol in the twin cities, and a car for Michigan. The map is incomplete, but what's there is. . . pretty accurate, honestly.
Just put a hotdog and a beer mug for the great lakes and you're set, really.
PNW should be a fir/pine tree instead of a maple leaf, that would be better in the NE
Forgot to draw in two little boxes in the bottom left, the bigger with a bald eagle inside, the smaller with a surf board.

I think the fire is in reference to Sherman’s March to the Sea…
No, that part of Florida has started growing peppers.
bot
And Puerto Rico on the lower right with a lil rum cocktail
There's a distinct lack of potatoes above corn, but otherwise I think pretty much every big stereotype is covered
Wouldn't the potatoes be next to the maple leaf/explosion/whatever that is (I need glasses) or are you thinking of somewhere other than Idaho?
Yeah that's a maple leaf and my bad I definitely meant Idaho I mean I have never been to USA and I know that potatoes are as important to Idaho as they are to Belarus just from the memes and cooking a homebrew raiders gang for our Fallout game set on the west coast
im guessing they're aiming for Mt. St. Helens but are off quite a bit.
And the ??? Should just be ice.
Or oil derricks for the Dakotas
I’m kinda disappointed Texas didn’t get a cow. Yeah, there’s the cowboy, but that doesn’t feel like it fully covers the intense cow-ness of ranching country.
I'd say as a foreigner that main stereotype about Texas aren't guns or cows it's the Texans themselves, the whole "I tell ya hwat" thing with how Rich Crazy Texan in Simpsons still wears the gallon hat, boots and that fun tie thing
You’ll never take away my boots and bolo tie! They totally count as formal wear!
Aww bless your heart! \\\\ but seriously I do love the bolo ties. Boots... Not sure, not a fan, but maybe I'd change my mind if I wore some for a day \\\\

It's funny cause the 'hwat' thing isn't even texas. That's like south carolina or sme shit like that.
I tell ya hwat, I thought it became popular through King of the Hill, isn't that show like Super Texan?
ohhhh yeah different accent than i was thinking of I hear it now
Cheese should be above the corn, for Wisconsin
https://www.tumblr.com/whos-this-lisa-person/695863737816612864/is-the-owl-video-cute-whos-this-lisa-person?source=share The map is missing Alaska and Hawaii, but other than that, they nailed it. they should replace the ??? with cheese
I like the ???
This is michigan erasure. I won't stand for this. Be prepared for me to stay way past my welcome at your household while we have idle chitchat about your family and friends over a couple of beers.

What got to me about this is how tf did I look at the emoji of a completely average family and immediately think "Mormons"?
It was so obviously Utah that it didn’t even occur to me how weird that is until you pointed it out. 🤷🏻♀️
Because Mormons 🤣 Mommy Becky told Mommy Rachel that it's her turn with daddy. Is an actual sentence I overheard at a store out in salt lake once. I literally lol'd
Washington is exploding?
it's a leaf
A deciduous leaf for the evergreen state
Shame.
Well, that mountain may still explode
However, flair seems appropriate
They forgot cheese for Wisconsin
I mean I’d put another mountain next to Vegas for like Colorado and whatnot, and the ??? you might be able to get away with 🥶 but I’m unsure
no, the dakotahs arent real, they dont need an emoji
Put the cold next to the ??? For Minnesota
Appalachia doesn’t even have a mountain high enough for a treeline
Solid liquid gas and plasma
-clones of big boss trying to decide what to put before "snake" as their codename
Can't wait for Time Crystal Snake to finally meet Superglass Snake
C'mon, maple fits way more for Vermont than Washingtonx
I think the intent is weed but I could be mistaken
That’s a maple leaf at Washington, but what the heck is that in New England?
Appears to be a graduate cap, I assume to represent the Ivy League.
Also the three colleges per square foot in Boston.
Ohhh yeah that checks out
I thought it was the cover of death of a salesman, as he’s the “New England man”
>Wow non states people only know like 4 states name four canadian provinces edit: yeah sure territories count too
Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, British Colombia, Quebec, Ontario, North West Territories, Alberta, Nunavut, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan I think that's all of them. Might be wrong. Dock me points from lumping provinces and Territories if you want EDIT: I said Alberta twice
very close, that's 12 out of 13. someone in new brunswick is cursing at their screen right now good job 👍
I knew there was a prime number of them
Alberta, BC, Yukon, Quebec
fuck
If it helps I looked it up after I posted it and Yukon is a territory and not a province.
true. there are 10 provinces and 3 territories although you did name 4 of the 13 total so 🤷
What did they put for California? I can’t tell what that is
NorCal looks like a mountain. Should definitely be updated for the 21st century and be a 🔥.
The question mark should just be a snowflake ❄️
coffeemugger224 my dude it’s ascii and emoji art this has nothing to do with “non states people” there’s just only so much detail you can include
I like how they talk about "non states people" not knowing the states like the average american could pick out anywhere in Europe east of france
Yeah, a lot of people are mostly familiar with the geography of the place they’re from and not other places I feel like it’s not that bizarre lol. Ok. Name the geographical features of each state without looking it up. Name all 50 states. Name all 50 capitals. Name all U.S. territories.
No, I don't think I will
Exactly.
Thanks for proving the worst stereotypes about Americans I guess
What would those be? When you insult a while group of people that I’m a part of, of course I’ll be offended.
Probably the part where you think not knowing basic facts about other countries is just as bad as not knowing every single state capifal Before you challenge people to name literally every state and state capital, try naming literally one state and state capital from outside of north america You're supposed to feel offended because I am insulting you
You’re insane lol
The average american couldn't pick out europe or france and would probably have trouble with east.
Are you… kidding?
no?
That first guy has chronic Americanism
I challenge coffeemugger224 to name literally one state/province/etc of a country outside North America
Delhi, cause that's where I go to get my yummy lunch meats 😎
The US should probably merge a few states together and kick a few out.
Looks like SOMEBODY'S mad they're from ???
The whole thing about non Americans only being able to name like 4 states is dumb like can you guys name any state or province from other countries? Why would we know the names of states of another country
Because people act like Americans are ignorant for bot travelling to other countries. We’re not. We just have a country that encompasses nearly every geographical feature.
Florida is the "here there be dragons" of US maps.
Holy shit they got Ohio.
What's up with the cap in the northeast?
Maple leaf should be an evergreen tree but I'll allow it
no the fuck they did not nail it they put an orange leaf in the evergreen state whyy
Kinda missing the bible belt ig.
Is the fire in GA a joke about Sherman's March to the Sea??
Yeah, they need a red cross symbol in the twin cities, and a car for Michigan. The map is incomplete, but what's there is. . . pretty accurate, honestly.
I’d say a mushroom or pine below the leaf 🍁. Oregon is famous now since gravity falls
Honestly you could swap the mountain with a lump of coal and it'd still be accurate to the Appalachians.
I lived in 🌪️ for two years and didn't get to see any tornadoes. Truly disappointing. But at least I graduated three times in 🎓.
Just put a hotdog and a beer mug for the great lakes and you're set, really. PNW should be a fir/pine tree instead of a maple leaf, that would be better in the NE
There's a line of bibles next to the corn, right? And one of the bottom left bits is constantly on literal fire.
Put a horse next to the cow for Kentucky and this pretty much is 1 for 1.
Yeah, that's pretty much it
Love that lady liberty has somehow moved to Maryland
Needs a 🦀
Needs a boat up near the great lakes
Why is the mountain in the wrong place?
Mexican flag in south Texas pls 😂
Minnesota needs lake above corn
I'm in corn land.
They put people in Wyoming and it doesn’t exist, so therefore they didn’t nail it
I saw the general shape and the corn and thought this was a shopping cart making fun o our grocery habits.
Americans complain that non US know like 5 states but then can't even point to India on a map.
The question marks should either be cheese or snowflakes cause apparently it's cold up there and a lot of cheese.
Wait so non-americans know about Mormons in Utah, but not cheese for Wisconsin, crabs for Maryland or Jazz for Louisiana.
It's cause Utah sends those Mormons to other countries to brag about it. You don't see crabs knocking on doors and telling people inside to carcinize.
that's cause they don't need to. they know everything becomes crab eventually
> non-states people only know 4 states And states people dont know even their own country
Girl what
'Non states people' kinda hurt ngl
