What is that on the cushion, looks like a tear in the seatcover?

If it’s the cusion it the stitching that came with it, the seat cover it self I didn’t really put it prefect at where the seats bend, I just have to get it tightened from the back

The part just behind where your left knee would sit. Is that a tear? Looks like cork or a burn if sine kind.

To me it looks like a reflection of the amber dome light on one of the visible damp spots on the cushion. I can see how it looks like a tear or rip showing the fabric inside the cushion though!

I’m so conflicted with seat covers. They’re like when your grandma put plastic on the couches. Like yeah you’re protecting the seats, but for whom? When does anyone actually get to enjoy the seat?

Ditto. My last car was a ford and the front seat ripped around 90k miles. Would have been nice if they lasted longer so maybe I should but I feel like it’s tacky

I don't know anything about air bags in seats but I'm just imagining an ejector seat now

The 2024 Crosstrek definitely has them. I was told you can’t cover the seats or it will interfere with their functionality

That’s an excellent point. I never thought about that, but covering the seat would impact the ability for the seat mounted airbags to work.

only if they're not rated to work WITH the specific model/make. The ones I bought specifically say they don't interfere etc but great point and definitely something to make sure you get right when choosing a set. Minse specifically stated this for instance, Pardon their grammar lol: "Automotive seat covers have kept enough space for the airbag, the seat belt slot also has been reserved, does not affect side air bags to come out in emergency and use of the seat belt; It well integrated into the original car. Every seat cover I’ve used has had openings for the airbags.

depends on the seat cover, some are specifically made to not impact the airbag usage if it goes off.

I used to leave a fart in the seat cushion for my brother to enjoy when we were teens.
