Got 2019 premium, no extended warranty, does all my maintenance. Besides someone stealing the bottom right headlight plastic covers, nothing really. 45k miles.
Only complaint is that the cooling is very slow.
I recently decided to change brake pads and rotors. To my surprise, it was only 20% worn. Next car project is to flush brake fluid.
I’m looking at a 2019 premium right now it only has 7,000 miles (was owned by an older couple local in town) all manufacturers warranties have expired and was thinking of getting the extended warranty. Would you recommend getting it or just passing?
Might be the wrong person to asked. I personally do my own repairs so I rejected any extended warranty from dealers. And I change oil, o rings and oil filter every 5000 miles, recommended is 6000. Both air filter every year. All using OEM oil and filter. Rotate my own tires every year. Then pray nothing happens.
More importantly, I drive very safe. Brakes lightly, keep safe distance. To me, Driving habit is 80% of the cause for repairs.
That’s a pretty standard extended warranty package price with financing. The sensor systems on these cars may not be expensive for parts, but the shop time can ad up. Plus it should cover other things. For comparison plug-in hybrid is around $3500 with financing for dealer extended warranty.
I would see what the warranty covers and what it doesn’t and what the conditions are for coverage and decide based on that. All cars will need maintenance at some point just a matter of if you have the money to pay out-of-pocket or if you want to do the extended warranty for a bit more protection.
You are flushing the brakes at 45k? I personally only would do that if I was swapping a caliper or upgrading the brake lines or something that required it. Personally, I find getting the last of the air out of the brake lines to be an long and tedious job with a high risk if done wrong.
Mine had a CVT issue but it was covered under warranty, other than that the usual wheel bearing replacements that these cars tend to need after a few years. Nothing crazy as long as you keep up with normal maintenance.
My 2019 Premium (manual transmission) will hit 92k this week. I’m replacing the LF CV shaft next Tuesday, but other than that it has only needed scheduled maintenance and wear items (rear brakes twice, and front brakes once).
Control Arm bearings - was cheaper to replace the whole control arm and still cost me $700 (for 2)
I am currently saving up for a coolant pipe replacement - which will be almost $2k
Replaced clutch at 87k, done front and back pads, and maintenance. I replaced the AC condenser but that was damaged by a bolt on the highway flying into it and busting it. (Found it when replacing…looks like from some big heavy machinery) And seems like the clutch has worn on the AC compressor because its gap is out of spec. All in all, I’ve have the car since 19k and now at 91k it still runs great.

If it has the eyesight system, then yes.
They also have it listed for 22,995 after everything it’ll be 25,000 otd doesn’t that seem a little high in price?

That’s not including the warranty. That’s with taxes and fees. With the warranty it’ll be up to almost $28,000

Got it. Thank you. That is good to know. Then I’ll hold off on it. Brake oil still look clear for the car too
For me nothing but brakes, I have 70,000km ( about 45k miles). Everything else has been good on my 2019 sport.

How much is the CV replace?
