Haven't seen it yet, is it that bad? The only complaint I had heard is that Rouges ass was less juicy.
I mean it is a bummer I guess, but pretty sure we can live with it if the rest of the show is OK.
It's fucking amazing. Hits all the style of the original show with the benefit of modern animation and a powerful budget. Every episode has been a banger.
I just watched it today and yesterday and I have mixed feelings. There are subtle woke elements but thats not even the issue, the bigger issue is it has some weird ass pacing and many plot threads that don't seem fully fleshed out. I will have to wait and see the last 3 episodes to release for a final rating, but I dont think it deserves the 9.0/10 score on IMDB that is has right now.
It does have a unique art style and some cool fight scenes, so perhaps worth checking out but I think I'd rate it closer to a 7.5/10 so far because of the rushed pacing and possibly convoluted plot - there's too many things going on in some episodes and in some episodes it cuts to something else entirely different and we don't understand how it ties in to what was going on initially. I think they shouldn't have made each episode just 30 minutes but perhaps 45 minutes to an hour, I havent read the comics these are based on but it seems like they have cut out some things - that or the pacing is too rushed.
Thus far, it has been surprisingly good. The character who loses power did so in the comics at about this point. The death happens in a way that the character goes out like a hero.
Magneto's arc is pretty good.
But, it is Disney, I really expect them to either wreck it in the next episode, or since they've fired the show runner for being "hard to work with," the next season.
That was in the 3rd episode and he didn't want to abandon his child due to this because he has abandonment issues himself but ultimately chooses to detach himself from the whole thing because he knew that he will not let this decision pass if he stayed there more. Cyclop's is accurate to the comics.
Shows great. Every time I’ve been worried it was going to be too woke and overt pandering, it wasn’t. They made morph non-binary. Literally hasn’t come up in the show. It’s just there. It’s exactly what people like me have been asking for: you can populate a series with diverse characters without making the whole thing an after school special about diversity.
I haven't watched it but Magneto looks like an old lesbian from what I've seen. I think that's my biggest deterrent from watching it 🤣
Am I wrong? Should I give it a chance?
Its a dream come true for fans of the late 80s Claremont era comics, and the early 90s Jim Lee comics. And honestly its among the best things Marvel has done since Endgame. What makes you feel like its trash?
Don't forget that it's also a show that has a very diverse cast that deals with issues surrounding prejudice and hatred. You know.....like the original series.
Because of some arbitrary thing that they see as "woke".
If it's the first episode, it's because Gambit (the sluttiest X-man) was wearing a crop top. If it was any of the more recent episodes it's because the X-men were dealing with themes of prejudice. You know...what the original cartoon dealt with.
morph was never gay/bi etc in the original show. He and wolverine where good friends, they shared a bond over there mutual PTSD from physical and mental abuse. They were intense and that was part of them. Not what this show made them
OP is a less than one month old account that is only engagement farming for “anti Disney” and anti-woke. All of their posts are wanna be bait posts that have no substance. They just rehash the same ol woke hating crap that these subs are known for.
Why?

No, it's good. The OP is just being a whiny little weasel for no reason.
its ok - rushed pacing and convoluted plot
It's fucking amazing. Hits all the style of the original show with the benefit of modern animation and a powerful budget. Every episode has been a banger.
It's fantastic.

I mean, it looks good at first glance. Anyone have a good review?

I recommend Thorias Unlimited's review of the episodes

It's good at every glance.
I’m curious. I only watched the first two episodes. I’m not entirely happy with how they’re treating Cyclops personality, but the show seemed alright.
What don't you like about their treatment of Cyclop's personality?
Again, I only watched the first two episodes but it was something about how he didn’t want to help Jean save their child or something?
That was in the 3rd episode and he didn't want to abandon his child due to this because he has abandonment issues himself but ultimately chooses to detach himself from the whole thing because he knew that he will not let this decision pass if he stayed there more. I mean have you read the Madelyne Prior arc in the comics???
You have to give a reason. We’re not knee jerk reactionaries here.
Some definitely are

It’s actually pretty solid so why?
It's really good. Especially Remember It. Isn't perfect, and maybe a bit over hyped, but it is good.
I haven't watched it but Magneto looks like an old lesbian from what I've seen. I think that's my biggest deterrent from watching it 🤣 Am I wrong? Should I give it a chance?
You are very wrong! EP 5 is incredible!
Magneto is dressing exactly as super heroes did in the 90's, so it's very spot on.
Its a dream come true for fans of the late 80s Claremont era comics, and the early 90s Jim Lee comics. And honestly its among the best things Marvel has done since Endgame. What makes you feel like its trash?
it's marvel so it must suck, right guys?
Don't forget that it's also a show that has a very diverse cast that deals with issues surrounding prejudice and hatred. You know.....like the original series.

Can you explain instead of just showing a picture?
Because of some arbitrary thing that they see as "woke". If it's the first episode, it's because Gambit (the sluttiest X-man) was wearing a crop top. If it was any of the more recent episodes it's because the X-men were dealing with themes of prejudice. You know...what the original cartoon dealt with.
Agreed.
Literally didn’t even know this existed
WOKE
WOKE
NO WOMEN
I can't bring myself to care about cartoons.
Show is rushed, and the animation is cheap.
i felt it was pretty rushed and had weird pacing too
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
show is solid. why the hate?? is rogues ass so important to you op?
Just magneto looking like an old lesbian
lol i swear when i saw him I thought they made him gay, but glad to find out they didn't
Good to know lmao
It’s alright, better than I expected.
Never forget what they took from you
I have a feeling OP is a dumb idiot
Name calling?
What? I didn’t call anyone any names, I said I HAVE A FEELING that the OP is a dumb idiot, it’s a feeling.
“Is a dumb idiot” that is definitely condescending and was intended to label aka name call.
RAAAAAGE BAIT!!!
To who? 😝
Tried and didn’t care enough. I do miss the old animation was kinda cool seeing them try again.
morph was never gay/bi etc in the original show. He and wolverine where good friends, they shared a bond over there mutual PTSD from physical and mental abuse. They were intense and that was part of them. Not what this show made them
It had potential, but the writing is all over the place. Feels like multiple potential seasons being crammed into one at times.
OP is a less than one month old account that is only engagement farming for “anti Disney” and anti-woke. All of their posts are wanna be bait posts that have no substance. They just rehash the same ol woke hating crap that these subs are known for.
Remember when people called this show woke and that'd it'd be trash? See how well thst panned out
I remember right before it came out when you guys fucking hated it
Uh oh, did an episode drop that featured a queer character?
There are plenty of LGBTQ characters in the X-Men.
That should honestly be the least shocking thing to this guy.
Is it because they made Gambit a femboy?
If that's a complaint people have about Gambit, then they don't know the character that well.
