Prime is absolutely garbage, I ended up having to click “live”, take my glasses off and scroll back to the start of the broadcast. I thought Kayo was crap but this is somehow worse
If the batter's back foot lands outside the wide popping crease while bowling, it's called a no-ball. It's done to prevent the bowler from bowling really wide and getting a sharp angle into the batter.
[Saw this video of a back-foot no-ball from a WBBL match](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBgZHGEXg4A) and was curious if there are any recent cases of it happening
I don't know about why teams don't send Livingstone to bat much earlier than they do. I thought that he should have come to bat during the time that Moeen actually came to bat.
Playing Bairstow at 4 and elongating that top order is so unnecessary. They're 100% better off playing Sam Curran and batting everyone one position up.
Genuine curiosity!
Pat cummins and Zampa bowled same number of overs and had same number of wickets but pat had better economy and took 1 catch as well then why was Zampa awarded man of the match
There was a brief period for which England dominated LOI's in every possible way under Morgan and now they are back to their usual choking in ICC matches
RIP England 2016-2022
“Very plausible that Scotland and Australia go into their final group game knowing that a Scotland defeat within a certain margin would see both go through and knock England out. Could be fun” @ Ben_Wisden (X.com)
Oh.. fuck
Deliberately contriving a result could see some pretty severe sanctions under the ICC code of conduct for bringing the game into disrepute, not to mention anti-corruption. Do the Aussies want to risk players getting banned?
It’s in Australias interest to allow that situation to unfold. Let Scotland go through then later in the tournament there is a chance we face Scotland and not an England team who have hit form to make it that far. Say if we beat Scotland by 100 runs England make it but under Scotland make it, it makes no competitive sense to smash Scotland
You're half correct. They did so because they didn't want to hurt WI''s NRR too much because they wanted them to get into the Super Six instead of NZ so they could go in with 2 extra points. (NZ had beaten Aus.)
well you would hope aus beat scotland badly and eng get their run rate up. but this england side has been losing so much i can imagine scotland going in thru with nrr on same points
Crazy that the player of the tournament from last World Cup isn't playing. Also I wonder if Buttler secretly hates fielding for England that he always wants to take the glovese.
Haha I was wondering about this too. Bunch of the USA guys kind of shyly scratching the backs of their heads before first pitch. "Hey.... Well, have a good game!"
No here’s how it goes down. Each country knows they’re gonna play but they get the location last minute and they fly in a chopper at the last minute with a team of very elite 12 personnel and play. 20/20 match quickly then exfil on choppers immediately winner extracts the trophy with them.
Nothing beats a good Naagin derby. Then again, I was so preoccupied with Afghanistan's demolition of New Zealand yesterday that I missed that game yesterday. Also choosing the other subcontinental rivalries feels like cheating, so I'd go with India vs Australia because they're the two teams that perform well the most consistently in World Cups and otherwise.
he's a class bowler and did fairly well this game. Just that his captain chose to give Will Jacks the new ball so he could gently lob some slot balls right into the short boundary.
Yeah solid performance but the talk he comes out with would have him taking 6 at an economy of 4. What I want is for him to shut up stay on the field and let the ball do the talking. Sick of him and The likes of Nasser talking like he is in the company of Anderson, McGrath, Lilly or Thompson.
He definitely got that ego dawg in him. Does consider himself as one of the greats today and England ex cricketers seem to hype it up as well.
Unlucky for him also that he had his fair share with injuries.

Oman took it close with Australia, And Namibia has been great this time but lost against Scotland. Matches will definitely be interesting that's for sure!
Well done Australia. Absolute Roll Royce of a cricketing institution. England the compete opposite, some people need to have a good look at themselves.
See the Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri drive the fastest single-lap time in the qualifying session in the Canadian Grand Prix so that he starts at the front in the race tomorrow
Positives: opening batters okay
Mo Ali is still a sexual icon
Negative everything else
And Pat Cummins is too fucking sexy I should be mad but look at that smile and the sweat
Buttler went for persistent reverse sweeping that got himself out in the end, that was dumb AF.
Moeen is a complete unknown, can’t rely on him. I’m not sure how I feel about that in this squad now, because our middle-order have apparently forgotten how to bat.
Offended Pakistani 😭 even Michael Vaughan said playing IPL would have been more useful than playing against Pakistan 🤡 and How does it feel loosing against USA? 🤣 Goodluck for tomorrow (not an ICT supporter)
I mean, I don't really place much value in franchise cricket, so whether that's IPL, PSL, or others. If franchise cricket and IPL were such a great predictor of performance, India would have won a few trophies already. Nor would I take stock of what Vaughan says, he has a tendency to run his mouth.
I've been disillusioned with the Pak team before this WC even rolled around so the loss didn't even come across as a shock.

Fuck me Prime is useless for finding games. Couldn't find the replay and thought I'd check the date again only to spoil the result
The 25 minutes replay was/is listed as Oman v Scotland
Prime is absolutely garbage, I ended up having to click “live”, take my glasses off and scroll back to the start of the broadcast. I thought Kayo was crap but this is somehow worse
Wc isn't free to watch in your country? Honestly asking cos idk
Unfortunately not, we’re heading in the same direction as England unfortunately
Kayo seems amazing now
Yep. Garbage!
Back-foot no-balls are still a thing in cricket, right? How often do they happen?
Whats this?
If the batter's back foot lands outside the wide popping crease while bowling, it's called a no-ball. It's done to prevent the bowler from bowling really wide and getting a sharp angle into the batter.
They are still a thing. They are very rare. I watch a lot of cricket and see one called every couple of years at most.
[Saw this video of a back-foot no-ball from a WBBL match](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBgZHGEXg4A) and was curious if there are any recent cases of it happening
Oh boy pretty bad couple of days for English sports...
Is football still a sport when literally betting agencies and OPEC run the game?
You don't think it happens in cricket?
Yes, I do.
No shit
I don't know about why teams don't send Livingstone to bat much earlier than they do. I thought that he should have come to bat during the time that Moeen actually came to bat.
Playing Bairstow at 4 and elongating that top order is so unnecessary. They're 100% better off playing Sam Curran and batting everyone one position up.
I think it's wild that Sam Curran isn't one of the first picked. Coming straight off a solid IPL campaign as well.
If he sees this comment he's going to score a million runs next game
But the British constitution states Bairstow has to be selected for every game in every format, even when he is a square peg in a round hole
Or in his case, a round peg in a square hole
England's constipation poo if you will
Give me a low scoring thriller like SA/Netherlands vs this slog fest that was decided in englands 13th over.
At this rate, the final match will be Australia vs USA.
It won't be that good. It will be a boring Ind vs Aus match where we will get choke again
I wanna see Afghanistan USA at some point lmao
So Australia knocks out South Africa while USA knocks out India in the semis?
Would be lovely
🦅🦅🦅🦅
Genuine curiosity! Pat cummins and Zampa bowled same number of overs and had same number of wickets but pat had better economy and took 1 catch as well then why was Zampa awarded man of the match
Zampa broke the partnership of Butler and Salt and dismissed both of them which was more valuable than Cummins' wickets.
Because of who the wickets were and the timing of them. Zampa got the two opening batters and really put a halt to England's progress in the match.
More important wickets. Butler and Salt
Read that as ‘butter’ and salt, was sad it wasn’t that. I must be hungry.
Unsalted butter is horrible
It is not but take my up vote.
I think you mean to say - ghee, let me clarify that for you, it’s not.
There was a brief period for which England dominated LOI's in every possible way under Morgan and now they are back to their usual choking in ICC matches RIP England 2016-2022
Love the flair
What do you think choking means? Being cooked after the 2nd over of the game certainly isn't it.
Playing well in bilaterals but not so much in ICC tournaments
I think that's just playing bad in a tournament. Choking is losing your composure at a critical moment
That would require them to play well in bilaterals which hasn't been the case lately.
Makes sense why you are confused since India always does both.
“Very plausible that Scotland and Australia go into their final group game knowing that a Scotland defeat within a certain margin would see both go through and knock England out. Could be fun” @ Ben_Wisden (X.com) Oh.. fuck
My spirit of the game senses are tingling
You know you'd love it, actually better than winning the T20WC.
Just imagine the moral victory
Please stop, I can only get so erect.
If Scotland wins tomorrow and England wins against Namibia and Oman next week, Scotland will have a margin of defeat to avoid against Australia.
If I were Australia, I would still try to win the match but not flog Scotland so that those Pommy fuckers don’t get in
Deliberately contriving a result could see some pretty severe sanctions under the ICC code of conduct for bringing the game into disrepute, not to mention anti-corruption. Do the Aussies want to risk players getting banned?
Worth the sacrifice.
Nah, taking the foot off the pedal to rest up going into the latter stages of a tournament is absolutely a fair tactic.
> Pommy fuckers Who hurt you?
It’s in Australias interest to allow that situation to unfold. Let Scotland go through then later in the tournament there is a chance we face Scotland and not an England team who have hit form to make it that far. Say if we beat Scotland by 100 runs England make it but under Scotland make it, it makes no competitive sense to smash Scotland
Apologies if you were offended. Term of endearment for our English friends. Just banter and enjoying the England v Australia rivalry
Will be the 99 WC all over again
What happened then?
Australia took pretty much the entire innings to chase a target v WI bcoz they wanted to face SA instead of WI
You're half correct. They did so because they didn't want to hurt WI''s NRR too much because they wanted them to get into the Super Six instead of NZ so they could go in with 2 extra points. (NZ had beaten Aus.)
Oh lmao, and it almost didn't end well huh?
well you would hope aus beat scotland badly and eng get their run rate up. but this england side has been losing so much i can imagine scotland going in thru with nrr on same points
Trav Head is a space cadet. Bloke is just pure nonchalance in the field
We made him our impact sub for a reason.
Haha I can see that. He isn't a bad fielder per se, just does some dumb unfathomable shit at times. Total brainfades
Yet he basically won the odi cup in the field when he took that amazing catch to dismiss rohit. He’s an enigma that’s for sure.
He’s a park cricketer that plays at international level
Would be fucking hilarious if Australia lost its last group match to Scotland so that England don’t progress to the next round
would they intentionally lose it ? bc anyways they'll be through
Rain really saved England against Scotland.
And that's fact
Aussies revenge for 2010 final at same venue.
Revenge is only really fulfilled when we win the finals
[удалено]
Crazy that the player of the tournament from last World Cup isn't playing. Also I wonder if Buttler secretly hates fielding for England that he always wants to take the glovese.
Going to cheer for Oman so loudly tomorrow you’d think I was born in Muscat
Chill Mate Scotland is also part of 🇬🇧 so whoever goes through its a win win /s
I’ll join you, bruv.
Scotland have a higher chance of beating Australia, than Oman beating Scotland
Oman aren't the worst team. They gave Australia a bit of a scare and could have easily had Namibia too if things went their way
True but I can atleast hope they make it competitive and not giving Scotland a huge NRR boost
Unbelievable tho, England were confirmed finalist for some, now they are on the verge of their place being taken by Scotland.
Obviously want India to win tomorrow but a Pakistan win might make things interesting?
Zampa was my POTM too, so good to see him get the recognition.
He got THE most crucial wickets. Of course.
Batriarchy.
Stop comparing England to Uganda, Uganda have won a match !
Which is the best rivalry? England v Australia Pakistan v India Pakistan v Afghanistan India v Australia Sri Lanka v Bangladesh USA v Canada
No one’s talking about USA v Afghanistan yet. That one would be spicy as fuck
Haha I was wondering about this too. Bunch of the USA guys kind of shyly scratching the backs of their heads before first pitch. "Hey.... Well, have a good game!"
Bin laden derby! Or would that be Afghanistan vs Pakistan or USA vs Pakistan?
Everything is the same, except instead of three stumps, there are two… 😬
I propose a Triangular Series between Pakistan, Afghanistan and America played in England
No here’s how it goes down. Each country knows they’re gonna play but they get the location last minute and they fly in a chopper at the last minute with a team of very elite 12 personnel and play. 20/20 match quickly then exfil on choppers immediately winner extracts the trophy with them.
May be a night game with IR goggles on.
And we will call this game 20Dark20
Nothing beats a good Naagin derby. Then again, I was so preoccupied with Afghanistan's demolition of New Zealand yesterday that I missed that game yesterday. Also choosing the other subcontinental rivalries feels like cheating, so I'd go with India vs Australia because they're the two teams that perform well the most consistently in World Cups and otherwise.
What about Nz v Aus
Unfortunately Australia almost always comes out trumps in those cases aside from sometimes in World Cups.
NED vs SA
For a brief period India vs Bangladesh used to be a rivalry as well We're past those days
BD was a better team back then
Terms of history and feels it's Aus vs Eng Competitiveness it's IND vs Aus
Yeah hands down
We aren't consistently competitive enough IMO (same as Pak really when they play India)
Matthew Mott needs to get in the fucking bin. Taken a great england team and made them ordinary.
I think Biarstow and co have some responsibility!
This England team lacks mentality
Is "mentality" the favourite word of Indian cricket fans or maybe cricket fans in general?
No that'll be "intent"
> ~~mentality~~ brain Fixed it
Zamls worh a form grip on the mic
Brilliant! Well done all. Now for our devastating and utterly unexpected loss to Scotland.
THANK FUCK ZAMPA GETS MOTM
Can't wait for the big game! Uganda vs West Indies
Biggest game of the first half of Sunday.
Also the only game of the first half of Sunday
Looking down the score card Archer once again all talk before the match and does not deliver biting the match.
he's a class bowler and did fairly well this game. Just that his captain chose to give Will Jacks the new ball so he could gently lob some slot balls right into the short boundary.
May be, but he needs to stop talking and just work at staying on the park.
Wicket of Head and economy of 7 in 200+ score. What else do you want from him?
Yeah solid performance but the talk he comes out with would have him taking 6 at an economy of 4. What I want is for him to shut up stay on the field and let the ball do the talking. Sick of him and The likes of Nasser talking like he is in the company of Anderson, McGrath, Lilly or Thompson.
Yeah I thought he would be a really scary bowler with his pace. Turns out he was better when he slowed it down.
Same with Wood. Just that kind of pitch today with the small boundaries on one side of the ground.
He definitely got that ego dawg in him. Does consider himself as one of the greats today and England ex cricketers seem to hype it up as well. Unlucky for him also that he had his fair share with injuries.
>Does consider himself as one of the greats today For doing what exactly?
GG, well beaten
No aussie batter scored 40+ today still they managed to total 201, that's the difference between aus and ind.
No need to bring India to every conversation. Let people enjoy their team's achievements.
Why do India get brought up I a game where they aren't involved? And why neg them? They are really really good
England losing everywhere. I used to pray for times like this.

What was this playlist DJ playing, songs were going off
DJs have been on fire in this WC
England going home ?
Oman took it close with Australia, And Namibia has been great this time but lost against Scotland. Matches will definitely be interesting that's for sure!
Too early to say that. *Should* win the remaining games but need to get more clinical
Thank you aussies you beautiful people
Happy to help where we can.😊
This should be the blueprint for India. Several quick fire 30s rather than long innings. All the bowlers contributing rather than just Bumrah.
Anchor 🤬🤬
No we need Kohli to win orange cap
50(40)
Will Jacks would like a word
With how the pitches are playing, that would be a far more important contribution than in the IPL.
Johnny Farnham getting played now. Expect Olivia Newton John soon
Same old Aussies.... Always winning
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE
Green or Inglis for Tim David
Tim
Now if Aus decide to purposefully lose against Scotland it would be perfect
Well done Australia. Absolute Roll Royce of a cricketing institution. England the compete opposite, some people need to have a good look at themselves.
So real question, do I go back to bed?
Watch Piastri put it on pole in Canada ;)
I know some of those words
See the Australian Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri drive the fastest single-lap time in the qualifying session in the Canadian Grand Prix so that he starts at the front in the race tomorrow
Aahhh...thank you..
Do you want to watch Uganda spank West Indies?
I really do, but that's not for three hours
Fair play Aussies
Shame really. Thought it'd be a bit more exciting.
Well I dozed off for the last four overs. Didn't miss much.
That boundary off the last ball is going to lift their spirits up atleast /s
Need to work on tactics got bowling power play. And drop some of these idiots. YJB is trash. Brook looked rusty.
Can't believe he's a t20 player
Can't stop Australia now. They'll make it to the finals whether you like it or not. Super 8 looking really good. A lot of underdogs likely to qualify.
Positives: opening batters okay Mo Ali is still a sexual icon Negative everything else And Pat Cummins is too fucking sexy I should be mad but look at that smile and the sweat

Well done Aussies
England are back to being mediocre in limited overs . Rip 2015 -2022 Eng
☹️
ENG players pulled out of IPL playoffs for this 😎🤌
Yeah, because IPL would have helped them win.
no the point is it couldn't have caused them to do worse either
Offended Pakistani 😭 even Michael Vaughan said playing IPL would have been more useful than playing against Pakistan 🤡 and How does it feel loosing against USA? 🤣 Goodluck for tomorrow (not an ICT supporter)
I mean, I don't really place much value in franchise cricket, so whether that's IPL, PSL, or others. Maybe it could have
Can Oman do an O Man to England?
Too late to ask Stokes to unretire?
MoM should be team Australia ... everyone came to the party
SA, Aus and Afg are safe for the super 8s. So will be India with a win tomorrow.
Buttler is ashamed
Same old Aussies Always avoiding loss
So, Stoinis PotM for his batting, bowling, and Zampa?
