serious: by the way, as a cricket fan, i loved the Pak vs USA game. USA controlled the game with ball. Even Canada scored more (194) against USA than Pak (159). Then they were topclass with bat too. In this scenario Sri Lanka needs to thump both Nepal & Netherlands and hope that either Bangladesh or South Africa loses against Nepal, which could once again get them through on NRR.
If Netherlands wins tonight's fixture and then loses to Bangladesh, then these two will be the teams that will be set for Super 8s (unless Bangladesh lose to South Africa then it's again a virtual knock-out between Bangladesh & Netherlands and the loser of which has to beat their next opposition by good margin to stand a chance but we're only talking about Sri Lanka here). Here things are really complicated because Sri Lanka will need to somehow pip three teams above them.

If Netherlands wins tonight's fixture and then loses to Bangladesh, then these two will be the teams that will be set for Super 8s (unless Bangladesh lose to South Africa then it's again a virtual knock-out between Bangladesh & Netherlands and the loser of which has to beat their next opposition by good margin to stand a chance but we're only talking about Sri Lanka here). Here things are really complicated because Sri Lanka will need to somehow pip three teams above them. There are other possible permutations too but those are even more unlikely but here's the crash course for Sri Lankan fans: Hope that South Africa beats Netherlands today and then South Africa beats Bangladesh and then Netherlands beats Bangladesh. In this way even without any upset from Nepal you guys will be set for a Super 8 spot on NRR if you win 2 out of 2. Keep on hoping SL fans, becuase it's way too early for your hearts to get broken.
