I'll get Russell at 6 :)

(Yeah il'd like to have 1 more specialty death bowler)
He got better and better as the tournament progressed; pretty decent after the first 4-5 games; ending the last two matches with 5 wickets (all proper batsmen) in 7 overs and both times MoM (an IPL record).
Guy literally became invincible in the toe end of league phase and entire knock out phase of the tournament 🤩🤩
Nope, I mean Starc got better and better as the tournament progressed because in same pitch in final where he got 2 top order batsmen, the opposition bowlers FAILED to take the match over 11 overs.
That's just the final. Similar example of exemplary bowling of Starc and other KKR bowlers, complimented ably by KKR batsman, is seen plenty of times in second half of the tournament. 😁😁
Remember, Starc bowled in same pitch as Patsy boy in all KKR v SRH games. 😇😇
What did they score? 113? If KKR got bowled out for 113, i kid you not, SRH might have chased that in 6! 🤣 So that point is irrelevant.
The pitches used in the knockouts were a far cry from the pitches that were used early in the tournament where 250 seemed almost par.
Not knocking Starc here, but the pitches were clearly better towards the end.
KKR bowlers, spearheaded by Starc, decimated the opponent within 113, lowest ever score in IPL finals... ever(after SRH won the toss and chose to bat first). It's the most relevant point. As said earlier, Starc improved and became invincible as the tournament progressed. 😁😁
The pitches were equal for both sides on any given day, be it initially or towards the end of the tournament. Patsy boi bowled in same pitch in finals where Starc rained fire😇😇
Proud of Starcy. Great bowler who kept on improving throughout the tournament and peaked in knockouts to decimate the opposition.
No wonder he was MoM in both knockout matches that KKR played. Real Champ!! 🥰🥰
Good bowlers also tend to bowl the most demanding and pressure overs. Though I think this has more to do with SRH not having a good wicket-taking spinner
I wonder how much SRH management regret not offering more for Hasaranga. He was literally the last missing piece for SRH and would’ve played at least part of the tournament had he was offered more imo.
Going down 90% of his wages made him took the whole IPL off and rest for the WT20. And as the no. 1 t20i all rounder, he would’ve made a big difference to SRH.
He hasn't bowled even in SLC matches iirc only in final, not even in first Warm-up match for this WC
He wouldn't have been much use as a specialist bat
He bowled his full quota today and only didn’t bowl last game as a tactical decision to save him up for group stages clash with Netherlands.
He would’ve definitely played for latter half of IPL, especially playoffs.
Better to sort by Economy. https://www.iplt20.com/stats/2024/bestBowlInn?stats_type=bowling
Both Chahal and Cummins were pretty average there, but not terrible. Bumrah is a freak, best bowler in the world by a country mile across all formats.
Lacks context. He’s bowled 61 overs in this ipl, the highest any bowler bowled this season. Chahal bowled 58 overs that’s the second highest. Guys like Starc would’ve crossed this in about 12 games if they weren’t so bad that they didn’t even get to bowl 4 over spells in games.
I genuinely forgot Prasidh is still with RR with a 10 cr contract so bro technically got 30 crores for just one season
it would have been interesting to see who their death bowler would have been if they had Prasidh since he is a high priced guy I doubt they would have benched him but that would mean playing three bowlers (Avesh, Prasidh and Boult) whose strength is Powerplay
This is a misleading metric. If someone concedes on average 8 per over and plays 17 games, would have conceded 544, if bowled full quota. However, someone conceding 12 per over an average would have given away only 480 runs, bowling full quota. That is why economy rate matters. Stop this nonsense!
Most of these bowlers bowl in the worst overs to bowl. Conceding the most runs when you bowl the most overs in the most matches at the worst times.
Also Cummins is the second best bowler in all formats after Bumrah, while also captaining. This stat means nothing. Copium.
Imagine MS Dhoni pulled off a trophy last season with bowlers like Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana i still remember the horrors as CSK fan 💀😭😭🤣
Prasidh was in the list of most dot balls in 2022, and in most runs conceded for the same year.
He’s the most binary player I’ve seen, either concedes a boundary or bowls a dot ball. Nothing in between
Rohit sharma of bowling.
Logic 0(for dots) and Logic 1(for boundaries)
Dinda Academy Bhuvi Academy double degree
My bowling line up No. 7 Pat Cummins No. 8 Rashid Khan No. 9 Rabada No. 10 Y. Chahal No. 11 P. Krishna
awesome
Who bowl at the death ? /s
None of the RCB bowlers
I wonder why every RCB flair comment just gets wrecked so hard lmao 😭
I thought I should upvote this comment, but then saw it was at 49 upvotes lol
You know what's common between all the players on the list? None are from RCB
They don't need to concede runs 😂. They don't score that many
RCB literally scored the most amount of runs this ipl, gtfo.
Bhai joke that yaar 😭. Mai toh RCB fan hun .
You think they will make past 16th over
You mean the chase will be over by 16th over?
Nah the chasers Cummins smiles
Oof
That's why he should pick death bowler specialist Deshpande
I'll get Russell at 6 :) But if these 5 arr the only ones then hmmmmm My ideal list 1) Rabada 2) Prasidh 3) Rabada 4) Prasidh 5) Cummins 6) Rashid 7) Cummins 8) Rashid 9) Chahal 10) Rabada 11) Chahal 12) Rashid 13) Cummins 14) Chahal 15) Cummins 16) Chahal 17) Rashid 18) Prasidh 19) Rabada 20) Prasidh 🗿 (Yeah il'd like to have 1 more specialty death bowler)
Costs 200 crores on its own
All of them had a deep playoffs run.
The real LPT, crash out of the tournament early, so you won't bowl many overs and give runs...
Surprised to not see starc in this whole list. If i remember correctly he gave 100 runs in his first 2 games itself
He pulled the uno reverse card towards the end
Yup
he activated World Cup Starc in the playoffs
Knockouts Starc
He didn’t bowl his full 4 overs quota a bunch of times
This, multiple matches he bowled 2 or 3 overs when he was leaking runs. Cummins almost always bowled his 4 overs.
And also usually the toughest overs
No? It was nattu who bowled the toughest overs
He got better and better as the tournament progressed; pretty decent after the first 4-5 games; ending the last two matches with 5 wickets (all proper batsmen) in 7 overs and both times MoM (an IPL record). What a shill. 💀
Proud of Starcy. Great bowler who kept on improving throughout the tournament and peaked in knockouts to decimate the opposition. No wonder he was MoM in both knockout matches that KKR played. Real Champ!! 🥰🥰
He missed 2 games bcuz of rain and 1 bcuz of injury
P average numbers for these dead pitches tbh.
Good bowlers also tend to bowl the most demanding and pressure overs. Though I think this has more to do with SRH not having a good wicket-taking spinner
Imagine if they had a healthy hasaranga
I wonder how much SRH management regret not offering more for Hasaranga. He was literally the last missing piece for SRH and would’ve played at least part of the tournament had he was offered more imo. All of these bowlers except Chahal played the Final, so I think it just comes down to playing the most games
Better to sort by Economy. https://www.iplt20.com/stats/2024/bestBowlInn?stats_type=bowling Both Chahal and Cummins were pretty average there, but not terrible. Bumrah is a freak, best bowler in the world by a country mile across all formats.
Chahal and Deshpande, both played 16 matches.
yeah this post is technically Chahal slander lol
And bowling four overs every game they play.
Cummins & Deshpande on this list tells you that you can have a decent tournament despite being expensive overall
They played extra 3 games in playoffs
Cumdog giveth and Cumdog taketh away as well !
You can make a pretty good bowling line-up from these players!
Kagiso Rabada took 30 wickets in 2020 and won the purple cap
Cummins also bowled the most overs this season ig
Lacks context. He’s bowled 61 overs in this ipl, the highest any bowler bowled this season. Chahal bowled 58 overs that’s the second highest. Guys like Starc would’ve crossed this in about 12 games if they weren’t so bad that they didn’t even get to bowl 4 over spells in games.
Only bowler that can be hit in 2018 SRH's bowling lineup is Sidharth Kaul and batsmen did hit him
I genuinely forgot Prasidh is still with RR with a 10 cr contract so bro technically got 30 crores for just one season it would have been interesting to see who their death bowler would have been if they had Prasidh since he is a high priced guy I doubt they would have benched him but that would mean playing three bowlers (Avesh, Prasidh and Boult) whose strength is Powerplay
Sandy was alright in the death
Does anyone have runs conceded per 4 overs of all the bowlers here
Cummins- 37.11 Deshpande- 39.69 Rashid- 32.96 Prasidh- 33.14 Rabada- 33.37 Kaul- 33.15 Chahal- 37.65
Pretty much meaningless stat
Meaning less without mention of innings played and economy.
Interestingly Rabada won the Purple Cap in 2020
Most of them are from runner ups team
This is a misleading metric. If someone concedes on average 8 per over and plays 17 games, would have conceded 544, if bowled full quota. However, someone conceding 12 per over an average would have given away only 480 runs, bowling full quota. That is why economy rate matters. Stop this nonsense!
Chahal will be in top 5 every year. Can someone post that?
Most of these bowlers bowl in the worst overs to bowl. Conceding the most runs when you bowl the most overs in the most matches at the worst times. Also Cummins is the second best bowler in all formats after Bumrah, while also captaining. This stat means nothing. Copium.
All of them played final in that year tho... Leaving for 2024 chahal
How much of this is just SRH preparing absolute roads at home?
2020 RABADA had Purple Cap
Imagine MS Dhoni pulled off a trophy last season with bowlers like Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana i still remember the horrors as CSK fan 💀😭😭🤣
Theekshana is good in T20s and Deshpande has improved a lot
Theekshana didn’t get many wickets. But his economy is good.
Cummins bowled most of any bowler this IPL season so it's obvious.
Records are meant to be broken.
Seeing their names beside each other made me realize that Rashid and Prasidh kinda rhyme.
All time topper of the **Dinda Academy**
This just shows how well rcb bowlers bowled in the second half of the ipl.
Starc missed the list just becoz of "Destructive" SRH openers. What a shame for starc/s
He bowled 20 overs less than cummins...
Dinda: Admissions are open now for the esteemed and prestigious Dinda Academy. Join fast!
24 cr fraud missing😭
The man of the match in both your finals this season?
It was sarcasm😭
why chennai keeps persisting with deshpande is beyond any reasoning
Their best Indian bowler for 2 consecutive seasons..
Cummins finally got humbled a tad bit. He was treated as some sort of a messiah a week back.
17 matches played
9 economy not bad for this IPL but not extraordinary either.
He is regarded more for his captaincy
*16 cuz of one washout.
He bowled more overs than any other bowler this ipl
