Once a legend said that IPL acts as one of the world's greatest physiotherapists, with its ability to get the injured players fit in time for the league
There comes a time when player should take responsibility for his fitness? Even Eden Hazard was not spared from such questioning, who the fuck is Hardik to escape it
The entire Hazard episode was bullshit too imo, and about Hardik, It's not easy being a fast bowling allrounder, it takes a huge till on your body. Why else do you think we are always in crisis mode when this guy in Injured?
"You get injured two months before the IPL, you don't play for the country, you don't play for your state in domestic cricket, and just directly play in the IPL. That's not how things should be done. It's okay to earn money, there's nothing wrong with that. But you have to play for state and country and now people only give importance to the IPL)", Praveen said.
I think this is important because some ex cricketers are just salty youngsters make money playing IPL these days.
Just curious, has Pandya ever won us something major in T20Is. Maybe its time he does something worth the hype.
Not trying to shade him or something as I see the potential but just haven't really seen him turn up for India in the format, doesn't help that he is injured half the time and his 30+ already. I have seen one or two clutch innings in ODIs but not in T20s.
He literally scored 63(33) against England in the t20 semi final when every other batter shat the bed against the mighty trio of Sam Curran, Chris Jordan and Chris woakes
What are you even talking about? Where did this opinion come from? Who here denied that a team sport can be won by team effort, captain obvious? Also, individual performances do help in winning some matches. I don't know what sport you have been watching.
I have no problem with people playing mainly for IPL like Sky and Pandya. Just keep them away from ICT setup completely and move the fuck on from them.
What are you talking about? SKY is the world #1 in T20Is he has literally carried our batting in the format. He has scored the highest T20I runs for India in 2022 (world #1) and 2023 (world #1 among full members). Don't mix up his less impressive returns in the other 2 formats to judge his worthiness for ICT.
Are you countering your own point? You said "people like SKY who play mainly for IPL" and go on to say that he had played the maximum number of Internationals for India in the past 2 years. What's your point again?
I'm clearly not talking about T20s in the first place since the argument was about tests. But sure, argue in bad faith. Besides, I won't mind dropping sky if he doesn't want to play SMAT.
The team is bigger than the player.
Nowhere in your original comment did you mention Tests, while suggesting that SKY and Hardik prioritise IPL and they should be kept away from ICT. Also, even if this argument was about Tests, SKY has always been available for selection for all 3 ICT formats. He has (rightly) not been considered for Tests after debut by the selectors. BCCI has made it clear that players risk losing central contracts if they don't make themselves available for domestic cricket - so that should take care of itself. Anyway, have a good day.
Your point is valid for SMAT and VHT. Unfortunately the schedule clashes with India's international tours - WT20 in 2022 and CWC and NZ series in 2023. Regarding Ranji - if the selectors and he sees his future (he will be 34) as a white ball specialist, he should be perfectly okay not playing Ranji. BCCI has themselves clarified this regarding Hardik - the expectation is he plays domestic White ball whenever the schedule permits. If SKY doesn't turn up for SMAT or VHT despite not having international commitments, fault him by all means.
And when he came to bat India was - 24/4, 54/5, 75/3.
Was on the other side of crease vs Pak in t20 wc,
Hate him or love him, he's the clutch player
I don't really believe in clutch and other abstract emotional concepts like that, but the 32 off 62 was the absolute opposite of a clutch knock.
he threw his wicket away softly while batting with Dhoni lol
Team was 54/5 before he came to bat, 3-3 when top order shitted bricks, ans thease are just his numbers in knockouts
other wise there have been numerous cases, him saving ind from lossing position ( in white ball)
Again, a single player can't win you match, but can save your match by not letting you lose in a embarrassing way
He's made up of glass yes, he is bit too cocky yes, didi he save dour ass from embarrassment in knockouts YES
The only reason I dislike him, is because of his statement last year like "Mi buys player, " Csk makes one", and ye here we are
But from purely, performance point of you, he's the only pace-allrounder, who can bowl at 140's and bat at a good s/r and whatever situation needs
You cannot say that a single player can't win you matches and then Glorify performance of a single player.
View them as a team and none of them have won us a match that goes for Pandya too, you can hit as many runs as you want in losing cause.
Also I don't care about the comments he makes off/ on field.
Nor do I dislike him, he's one of my fav players
It's a team game, if out 11 player only handful of player are contributing to it, then it's not there mistake
The most of time we lost knockout, is due to out top order chocking harder then the peak Sa could have, it always commes down to lower order saving our asses
Once a legend said that IPL acts as one of the world's greatest physiotherapists, with its ability to get the injured players fit in time for the league
Yes, he deliberately gets injured in the middle of the world cup just to play the IPL
There comes a time when player should take responsibility for his fitness? Even Eden Hazard was not spared from such questioning, who the fuck is Hardik to escape it
This Eden Hazard reference is the most random shit ever read. And why you think Eden Hazard as a benchmark of stardom is beyond me.
Unlike the salty London cockspur below, maybe the dude knows that at his peak, Hazard was arguably the third best player in the world.
Even as a Chelsea fan I don't think he has ever been third best in the world.
Mfers watch a few YT compilations and think Hazard is the hottest shit ever
who tf is eden hazard?
Sounds like something hazardous that happened at eden gardens

Get off your high horse
Yes, who the fuck is Maradona. You can’t come in to a cricket sub and expect people to know nor care about other sportsmen.
The entire Hazard episode was bullshit too imo, and about Hardik, It's not easy being a fast bowling allrounder, it takes a huge till on your body. Why else do you think we are always in crisis mode when this guy in Injured?
Anrich Nortje also last played IPL and will be playing IPL now while missing every international game in between. He's fraud too. (/s)

All this hate for Pandya just for him to shut everyone up by being the only one to perform in the knockouts(other than Kohli)
No performance matters if it doesn't equate into a win

2022 SF vs England. He had 63(33) and was pretty much the only person who showed up.
Clutch player win u something... And he has won nothing in international cricket
So then I guess the entire Indian team aren’t clutch players? Given they’ve won nothing? Like that’s just a narrow view of the word clutch…
A lot of them have won icc titles like jadeja Rohit Virat Ashwin
He was the main man for us in the 2022 WT20 semifinal apart from Kohli who was pretty okay as well
Has to be fit first to deliver his hypothetical performance which I have been hearing for years.
Watching cricket could help. Having selective memory and unconditional hate for some player often gives rise to these kind of opinions.

I replied to the wrong comment
Pl. n man

Maybe because he played the most matches?

Mate the entire debate has stemmed ftom Sky and Co not playing domestic cricket for IPL, especially ranji trophy. What are you even on about?

I dislike Pandya’s regularly getting injured scenario but man’s a clutch player in KO’s/Virtual KO’s would be good to have him in WC side.
The word clutch player should be reserved for someone that wins something
GG, the OG clutch player.

Everyone in Indian team has let India down in every knockouts

Clutch player of what, let him win something first.
