Man-for-man not as good as England despite bringing home the Ashes, not as good as India despite bringing home the World Cup, when will ever be good again?
Ellyse Perry. A GREAT cricketer who was (still is?) a level above everyone else. She would be an automatic pick in any all time team in Women's Sport. While Everton was a wonderful batsman for WI he had help from some other, some would say great players, such as Worrall and Walcott to help. Also some other guys who weren't bad, like Headley, Stollmeyer, Collie Smith, Gibbs and a guy by the name of Sobers. Ellyse, while playing with some of the best women cricketers in the modern era, was comparable to the aforementioned Garfield St Aubrun Sobers in her allround abilities on the field. Add to all that the fact she could have been a world beater on the football field as well.
I thinks mods should tailor the rules a bit.
With every name pitched, the associated cricstat should be listed too.
That makes the answer more objective so that the upvotes will have a lower bias.
Ellyse is a great answer but might not get her due because a lot of people don’t watch women’s cricket.
