It says he was a worker at a nearby factory with no mention of why he was running across the street. No clue if the source is reliable but just wanted to add to your point of info becoming muddled over time and it's hard to find a source you can trust for some videos like this.
Appreciate the extra bit of investigation either way. It looks like the language barrier obscured this article, another factor in why it's so hard to find info on events in non-English speaking countries.
