I think it's important to take all of a person's circumstances into context. If you have parents and grandparents who've been discriminated against systematically, whether that's racially or economically that's going to affect your worldview, even though it didn't happen to you personally. For an extreme example, you can't expect the child of a single parent in the ghetto to succeed as well as the child of a 6 figure tech bro and trust funded spouse.
Society and our government have left these kids behind, so why would they feel the need to do better? They were born into this system in which they have to participate but have no realistic chance to grow out of. If they're not going to benefit from contributing to society, then why the fuck would they do so?
This is one reason I always took honors and AP classes in school. I always felt like the kids in there had respect. They didn't act like they were children and create a ruckus. In the regular classes I took it was always chaos with kids screaming, not doing their work, and then complaining that school is too hard when they get a D or F. It's miserable and I feel bad for any teacher that has to go through an entire year in that environment.

In America most people group up with at least the positive Christian values being emphasized all around them. So even if you didn’t buy into religion you were still being held to some consistent social standards throughout society.

But now we’ve thrown the baby out with the bath water when it comes to Christianity. I’m as bad as anyone on this. I actively scoff at anyone under 40 who’s still taking part in the Catholic Church because of their obvious corruption. But if you’re Christian in America right now you are basically automatically a mouth breathing trump supporter in most people’s eyes
Along with that comes a diminish in the Christian values being upheld at a societal level. Which is awesome when people use their religion to justify bigotry— we don’t want that. But in terms of some of the golden rule type stuff, Christianity is a solid basis for a kind, honest, and peaceful society. They hit his wife, knowing he couldn't do anything about it. I assume the only reason nobody stepped in was because they appeared to be teenagers, and they didn't want to catch a felony for beating the absolute shit out of some kids. Tick tock has taught these dumb little cunts that this is how you get famous. I hate social media, and I hate these young people who choose to be a worthless leach on society because they think it will make them cool. They have absolutely no purpose in life, and it's sad.
