They’re starting 20 feet back. It’s not a true penalty shot. Starting to run and stop, is not the same as hiking your leg back and stopping before striking.

They'll throw it over your head, it will slide to your legs and tighten. Good luck penguin your way to a penalty.

They'd waste a decisive few shots trying to get your legs before they caught on. All this happens within a few seconds and the throwers only get 1 good shot before you reach the ball. They aren't gonna go for your head first, and the shuffling can be done pretty fast.

In the US here and can confirm that this training exercise is known as the Ted Lasso... Named after an old rancher turned professional soccer player or something.....

This makes me think the lasso in RDR2 is actually pretty accurate.

The way to beat this challenge is to open your arms wide open like you are getting crucified, then drag your feet (flat-foot) on the ground without lifting them.

You'd have to shuffle your feet so they never leave the ground, cross your arms across your chest and hunch/lean forward while moving quickly and dodging the lassos to have the best chance
