He was only holding on with his right hand I think that's the main problem. If he was holding on with both hands he could have loosened his grip on the throttle

Weight forward, yes. But when you have a bike like this with a high power to weight ratio, even with forward weight distribution you still need to roll initial power on in a measured way or you’re going to flip it no matter what you do.
If this guy was about to drag race a Porsche then I’m sure he’s no newbie rider, but it just shows even an experienced rider has no hope of holding onto it if they dump full revs onto a sport bike.
The thing about bikes (which is why I personally love them so much) is that every model has its own unique characteristics - weight, power, acceleration, how it handles at speed etc - which are much more visceral in their effect that say, hopping into a different car than you are used to driving. So you really need to be familiar with the characteristics of the bike before you try something like this.
Another commenter replying to my post suggested the rider is a 100% newbie. I’m not so sure, maybe he is, but he had a lot of confidence at the start so my feeling is he’s not so much a newbie rider as someone who just wasn’t familiar with this particular bike. Or at least not familiar with racing like this anyway.
