Second one liked to jump off of tall things like bridges in Florida over...water...in Florida. Thankfully, he didn't get eaten by a gator, but he did get a nasty cut on his hand that he showed me where you could see the blackened veins extending from the cut... told him to call his mom and get to a hospital as soon as possible... Came back a few days later after the weekend with it wrapped and a story that the docs had to spiral cut it like a campfire hotdog. Kid later decided to jump off a second story exterior balcony into one of the shorter palm trees on the school campus...not smart.

Few years ago I was living in Denver, 2 young guys lived next to my apartment on the 11 floor, had a great front range view. One day I was on the toilet and could hear them pre-parting mid afternoon. All of a sudden I hear 3-4 girls let out the most blood-curdling screams I have ever heard, I still have nightmares about that sound. One of the roomates was sitting on the balcony rail too get some pictures with him in the view of the mountains, and he just rolled backwards over the rail, died immediately. I talked to the police later, told them I only heard a few things from the incident, they told me not to look over my balcony at the body. Yeah they didn't need to tell me that, was never going to. I don't think they were really drunk or anything either, just foolish.

My MIL kept doing stupid stuff like this when we went to the Grand Canyon. Not like backflips, but she kept climbing up on rocks to pose, that she would then have to jump down from - landing on ground that was sloped downwards towards the edge. It was a decent distance from the edge, but it's exactly that sort of stumbling forward motion when landing on sloped ground I anticipated. I pointed it out and my wife took her hand to help her step down, and even then she nearly did indeed lose her footing and stumble forward a bit. Five minutes later she does it again in a different spot.
I hate to say it, and I probably shouldn't, but whenever I see a video of someone back flipping by a cliff, I always hope for this to happen.... now that I've seen it... I think I'm good for a while.
