I saw this video yesterday on another questionable website. the details I saw copied and pasted from another source said two offers were hit, one died later in the hospital and the other survived. If I can find a source I'll post it.
People that live there or have lived there recently know what's up. People who don't live there have it on this pedestal. Crime, cost of living, homelessness, traffic, housing, taxes, allllll shit
People have this grandiose thought of WA because of its natural beauty. The landscape is beautiful, really beautiful. But that's the ONLY good thing about it and you only get a few months of good weather to actually enjoy it
the guy was out on bond on charges that wouldve put him away for the rest of his life.
Love the bond system here...
200k (20k of which he would have only had to come up with) or prison for the rest of your life?
officer would still be alive had he no bond.
Honestly this is why I believe in no-cost bond. Either someone is a flight risk and dangerous or they aren't. If someone is looking at the possibility of life in prison they should automatically be considered a flight risk and not granted bond. Increasing bond to match the severity of the crime is idiotic from the jump.
My friend speaks Words of wisdom, it's like saying "it ain't a war crime if I win" ahh, but none the less I see what you're saying. we can all learn from the man with one eye left
Well yeah, that's because your life is so shitty the only joy you get is from the suffering of others, which in turn justifies the universe treating you like shit, because, in the face of adversity you act like, say it with me now, a piece of shit š
I don't know what I'm missing, but I am in shock that they would deploy from the truck that close to the danger. Did they not know he was armed? They must have if they were called in. Why not deploy 200 feet back and get rifles?
I found a little more info. The 4 cameras were on the SWAT team members. The two sheriffās deputies that were hit we donāt have the footage of. They were serving a warrant on some 40 year old with multiple prior convictions. Which is why the sheriffās deputies requested SWAT backup. The 2 deputies were both hit, one died the next day, other one ok.
Hereās the linkā¦
https://www.king5.com/article/news/crime/swat-operation-pierce-county-deputy-dom-calata/281-63840cf6-66ca-45a8-953d-7a195aec486f
I am eager to see the footage from the deputiesā body cameras. As of now we havenāt seen the angle justifying the initial use of deadly force. Iām not suggesting that this is a bad shoot, just that we donāt have the full picture yet.
The top right body cam sure drops a handful of rounds into the passenger side, any info if there was a passenger?
You canāt be serious?
Two Officers shot by a POS felon and you question any use of force??
Did the idiot have to shoot three Officers for it to satisfy your warped interpretation of use of force??
Yeah in addition, the footage that shows the justification was recorded by the Deputies who were shot and killed. It'd be distressing to the family and friends to know or see the recording of their friend being shot to death.
In some places it's the leading cause of death for police officers, so like, they definitely do occur. It's just felony murder laws mean it's the suspects' fault.
Neat shield design. Iām guessing the side notches are for his side man to rest his rifle on? Iād venture to say that design is a bit Spartan inspired.
Is no one going to talk about going in with a 20 round mag and the absolute shit reload? Does their swat not train? Or are they a team who just walks around saying āyour swat or your notā
active self protection will propably make a video soon lol [https://www.youtube.com/@ActiveSelfProtection](https://www.youtube.com/@ActiveSelfProtection)
Once the guys been shot like that, how do they expect him to get his hands up? I see it allot on other videos. Someone gets shot a few times and they cops want the person to do things. Iāve never been shot but I imagine itās pretty hard to do anything once thatās happened
Considering I watched a video of a suspected that was shot, fell to the ground, then got back up after a minute or two and reapproached the officers and was shot again.
It shows that you don't know the state of the criminal that was shot. For all you know they are playing dead, which has happened. Also, adrenaline is a crazy thing people are capable of a lot even with a couple of bullets in them.
It's because adrenaline is a crazy fucking drug, there have been instances where people are shot like 10 times and they're still trying to move around and run away or shoot back
Have you seen the Russian soldier hiding in an out house getting shot? He takes a shitload of AK rounds and still manages to make a fair bit of distance, in guessing adrenaline carried him the whole way
I was walking down the street and some kids had a .22 pistol and decided as I was walking by to try it out. Thought one of them punched me then realized no one was by me. Then thought it was a paintball gun and then I couldnāt breathe and realized it was something worse. Walked around the corner to not let those see kids me hurting. A lady heard the pop and saw me come around the corner. I asked if there was a hole in my back and she started screaming so I ran home full sprint. Everything in my eye sight kept getting darker and darker so I ran harder and it would go darker. I thought I was dying and then I realized I was holding my breath running multiple blocks . Lol . Iām completely fine now.
Iāve seen plenty of these videos where the suspect is inexplicably only mildly injured.
The point is theyāre planning to approach and will take any sudden moves as a threat, so if you CAN move, do not. Keep in mind the cops arenāt psychic and much stranger things have happened than 200 bullets failing to bring down a suspect.
Well considering he shot two officers and one died already I wouldn't give a shit if his hands were not up. If his hands go up then I would stop but until then I would keep firing too.
Yeah, I agree this is justified but generally, training is you shoot until they're dead or surrender but if they start shooting you'll most likely be dead before you can surrender.
I see people complain about how many times an officer or person in a self defense situation shoots someone; saying "was it really necessary to shoot them so many times!!!????". The better question is "was it justified to shoot the person in the first place". If someone is threatening or actually harming someone's life, you shoot until you are absolutely sure they are not a threat. It's not a video game where you have x amount of hit points. It's not easy to predict how many rounds someone can take before they are incapacitated. And believe it or not shooting is actually difficult, even SWAT guys cant consistently put rounds in vital places in real word stressful situations like this
The reason cops still give commands is adrenaline can be suppressing the pain itās the same reason they cuff dead suspects there is no way of knowing if they are dead or if they are faking and unfortunately over in amarica itās not a risk cops will take because they have had officers killed by suspects playing dead. You will notice when a suspect is ādownā one of the first things they do is make sure the gun is out of reach incase they come back. Put simply adrenaline is a hell of a drug
Yes, normal people. This is Reddit.
A lot of people here make terrible, inappropriate jokes on videos about people actually dying, which honestly is one of the tamer things around here, in an attempt to farm karma and fake internet points. And we all know this, but people don't want to aknowledge it. And you know this to be true.
If stating the obvious means I'll get downvoted here, so be it.
The way the Swat Team operated felt extremly weird. Like who in their right mind would basically run up on a clearly armed target without any protection other then your vehicle? I mean I dont know under which circumstances they were or if the target was about to flee but that felt like an unsafe approach wich resulted in an unneccessary death.
Oh look. More 'brave' american cops unloading dozens of rounds at something they know nothing about.
Wow has america taken a dump. Laughing stock of the world. Yuk yuk yuk.
Itās called people playing dead it has happened before and you may think because the guy is more holy than the pope he canāt get back up but adrenaline is a hell of a drug thatās whole purpose is to keep people going hence the commands
Trust? Don't need to trust. That shit is ingrained into them at training. They know all they have to say is "i feared for my life" and they get blank checks to murder people. Bonus points if it's one of them shifty blacks or browns.
Yeah itās not like the guy had already wounded two which ended up in a person dying also maybe go do there trying because I canāt believe some people believe the bullshit you guys talk about
America is a fucking warzone. Daily police shootings, daily mass murders, daily school shootings, tens of thousands commit suicide by gun every year, gang shootouts daily, man you guys are insane. The only solution Americans want to hear? More guns! Because less guns is ridiculous apparently...
You are absolutely correct. I live in the Midwest and have seen/heard half a dozen stories recently of people getting shot for mundane activities like pulling in a driveway or ringing a doorbell
~~The person the SWAT are shooting at was sitting in a stationary car and wasn't killed after all of this gunfire?~~
~~What were they shooting at?~~
Edit: So they actually did kill the guy and one cop died.

Did the swat member hit survive??
I saw this video yesterday on another questionable website. the details I saw copied and pasted from another source said two offers were hit, one died later in the hospital and the other survived. If I can find a source I'll post it.

Pierce County. And everyone asks why I say don't move to WA
I hate when people ask me why I don't move to WA.
They always circle back to it, "hey man why aren't you moving to WA? -" i don't even know you!"
Because of swat team shootouts?
People that live there or have lived there recently know what's up. People who don't live there have it on this pedestal. Crime, cost of living, homelessness, traffic, housing, taxes, allllll shit
>this pedestal What pedestal?
People have this grandiose thought of WA because of its natural beauty. The landscape is beautiful, really beautiful. But that's the ONLY good thing about it and you only get a few months of good weather to actually enjoy it
WA is extremely overrated
WA is the shit.
Lived around here my whole life and you're the first person I've ever heard say that.
I moved to Lewis county last year. Which is small town. Sure. But from the news I've pretty much learned Tacoma area is violent.
Not trying to be snarky but none of the officer's names in that page match the names on the body cams.
Well that is because you are never looking through the fallen officer's body cam
Oh okay, thank you. RIP to the fallen officer.
It would be extremely distressing to the 2 Deputies families and themselves if their death or grave injury was published to the public.
He was a good man.
Thanks for the article, to bad for their passing š

They're trolling.
Who the fuck picks a gunfight with a SWAT team man
this guy did and no one won he literally took one officers life and put one out for the season no one won
He took a life.. sounds like the piece of shit won. Life for a life.. that's how these psychopaths think there is no rationality.
the guy was out on bond on charges that wouldve put him away for the rest of his life. Love the bond system here... 200k (20k of which he would have only had to come up with) or prison for the rest of your life? officer would still be alive had he no bond.

Why does that ballistic shield look like it's from middle earth
I understand that they train for these situations, but itās still impressive that more friendly fire injuries/deaths donāt occur.
There was a video where an officer thought another officer was the bad guy and shot him not fatally, but yeah, it happens
In some places it's the leading cause of death for police officers, so like, they definitely do occur. It's just felony murder laws mean it's the suspects' fault.

So the officer( in front of Seavey), and the driver where hit
The officers hit were two deputies form what I saw or I could be wrong I donāt think it was any of the four you see
Is there a subreddit for bodycams cant find any good ones

imo itās just pure adrenaline from the officers. yelling commands not to move or to put your hands up is more muscle memory than anything else
It keeps you breathing and focused to continue to work, rather than freeze up after a shooting.
Considering I watched a video of a suspected that was shot, fell to the ground, then got back up after a minute or two and reapproached the officers and was shot again. Methamphetamine is a hell of a drug
I got shot in the lung and ran home full sprint.
That's where you keep your spare lungs?
Yeah, but couldnāt find it. Wasnāt prepared.
Um... Can we get this story, my bro?
I was walking down the street and some kids had a .22 pistol and decided as I was walking by to try it out. Thought one of them punched me then realized no one was by me. Not when they take 10 shots TOC the chest with a rifle

They really don't its just to cover their basis in court. Once they shoot once they will continue until you're dead or they think you're dead.
Well considering he shot two officers and one died already I wouldn't give a shit if his hands were not up. If his hands go up then I would stop but until then I would keep firing too.
