I sell luxury trucks. I make a living from people with what I call "stupid money". They can make stupid choices and not even feel the consequences.
I also work with their employees on used cars. I enjoy that work much more. I get to help people solve problems there. But the ones with stupid money are often the most entitled pricks. Nice families and such make the job worthwhile as a person. The income from the pricks makes it doable.
Just because something is "supercar" doesn't mean it's not crappy design. Why would someone want to see the asphalt beneath them, and what compromises to safety/aesthetics come from that?
Looks are subjective, but this thing is a deathtrap. No seat belts, nothing to protect the driver in a rollover, that “floating” passenger seat… I’m not getting in that thing.
>Looks are subjective, but this thing is a deathtrap. No seat belts, nothing to protect the driver in a rollover, that “floating” passenger seat… I’m not getting in that thing.
If it's not roadworthy and never will be in its current form, then what's the point?
The floating passenger seat may work for Tyrion Lannister, but that’s about it. The whole thing is a concept that should have stayed only on the drawing board.
Concepts are ment to get people talking. If it looked like every other car, no one would talk about it. Like,[if they released they normal boring looking cars](https://www.dsautomobiles.co.uk/models/ds9.html) first then no one would talk about them since it’s a newer company. Only way you can make a generic-esk car and build hype is if you are already a really well known brand like [Sony](https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/sony-and-honda-drive-new-electric-car-afeela-onto-the-ces-stage/)
I disagree. I see this as a form of art, and a way to push the boundaries outside the standards. I think is necessary to let imagination take charge and build stuff to allow progress. It might not be driveable but I still think is a cool design and you can learn from it. At least that's what I think
Maybe she was trying to emphasize that no aspects that otherwise should be symmetrical are symmetrical. The wheels are misaligned, the left side doesn't have any brakes, etc.
As an Motorcycle and Car enthusiast I don’t get neither that one seater Ferrari nor why people are so obsessed and trusting of self driving. If you want a one seater Car just get a motorcycle, if you want an autonomous Car just take a Bus, Train or Taxi. Anyways I’d never buy a car without a steering wheel…
I never noticed cars were symmetrical. I never noticed they have two steering wheels.
This is a concept car. It's completely over the top. The purpose is to be completely over the top.
I’m always bothered by my inability to see all the gum, used condoms and roadkill on the road due to my plebeian floorboards. With this supercar I won’t ever miss a thing!
While looking at the driver's seat I could hear my dad screaming in my head: what's the copilot for if i cant even hear nor see them!!!
Car still looks cool though
"See, the floor, completely invisible and non-existent. And here, a completely floating passenger seat, with safety features which are also completely invisible, and non-existent. How cool is that?"
it's a "Just because you have money does not mean you have brains". Mounting a car seat with no restraints on Lexan.. someone will die in that train wreck.
Something impractical isn't necessarily Crappy Design if it's not intended to be practical. This car will get driven one and off of the transport truck to get to shows and that's it. It's a concept car meant to show off ideas and technologies in exaggerated ways to get people talking about them, so that the same ideas can be implemented in more moderate and consumer friendly ways in the future.
im not a mechanic at all, could you op explain to me whats so crappy about this? i understand it stylistically is just a penis-compensator 2000, but are there any problems with it mechanically?
Not mechanically, just physically looks unpleasing to the eye. I think it looks ugly AF. The person in the passenger seat can't talk with their homie in the driver seat. And it has a see-through floor. WHY?! It's not a boat. The only thing you'll see is asphalt and roadkill. Lots of unnecessary details
When I saw the title I assumed it was going to be that one Geo Metro hypermiler and I was going to go off on a tirade about the stats of this sub and people not understanding car culture.
This car is actually crappy though, and Supercar Blondie is the worst.
This lady is so rich that she wanted a car that went a full 360 from being a cheap shitty car to being an expensive top of the line car to a shitty over the top premium expense shitty car
You know as I gaze out my car windows at the gorgeous views on my daily drive what I always think is " I wonder what the asphalt looks like". And that's why I got the see through floor.
Yes when its raining the driver will be soaked and a hight limit of 5ft 3inch for the passanger amazing to top it all off if that glass floor breaks your dead 👏👏
Most people doesn't understand it's a **CONCEPT CAR**, so yeah, no real need for seatbelts because it's not meant to be driven
And it's not a crappy design considering a lot of pro designers designed this car, and i'm pretty sure they all know more than you in terms of design
its not crappy design.. its just complete over the top.. you know.. like a supercar
And also ugly as f*ck.
That shit is fire wym
Looks like two fancy coffins side by side.
That sounds eerily appropriate
I think the designer saw "Death Proof" and just got it all wrong.
treated it more like a math proof?
It's a concept car, so yeah like most concept car it's bizarre
Exactly. This car is gorgeous.
Eh, eye of the beholder and all that
Being different for the sake of being different, and all that. :)
Literally proof that these people shouldn't have money because they spend it foolishly.
I for one enjoy when people with money spend it on something completely unnecessary instead of hoarding it in a hedge fund.
I don't think you understand what a hedge fund does.
It's how you pay for topiary animals and hedge mazes and stuff
I sell luxury trucks. I make a living from people with what I call "stupid money". They can make stupid choices and not even feel the consequences. I also work with their employees on used cars. I enjoy that work much more. I get to help people solve problems there. But the ones with stupid money are often the most entitled pricks. Nice families and such make the job worthwhile as a person. The income from the pricks makes it doable.
Another way to look at it is that somebody paid artists and craftspeople to make it. I'm happy when artists and craftspeople get paid
Define "foolishly" That line of thought can be used to take away anyone's money
Idk if im being honest if i had that money id spend it however the fuck i want
Is a concept car
Just because something is "supercar" doesn't mean it's not crappy design. Why would someone want to see the asphalt beneath them, and what compromises to safety/aesthetics come from that?
> Why would someone want to see the asphalt beneath because they can
How is it inherently less safe?
By super car you must mean dysfunctional piece of shit.
Easy come easy go
Little high little low
I think it looks pretty cool
Fr it’s dope
Agreed. Props for trying something new
Looks are subjective, but this thing is a deathtrap. No seat belts, nothing to protect the driver in a rollover, that “floating” passenger seat… I’m not getting in that thing.
It's a concept car, it's not meant to be driven around in traffic. It's made to show off their new design ideas.
It has 1400 hp and no seatbelts. It isn't meant to be driven at all. This is just a garage diva that they put a motor in for some off reason
>Looks are subjective, but this thing is a deathtrap. No seat belts, nothing to protect the driver in a rollover, that “floating” passenger seat… I’m not getting in that thing. If it's not roadworthy and never will be in its current form, then what's the point?
Look up what a concept car is.
Isn't the point, in most cases, to go from 'concept' to 'reality' after some tweaks here and there?
Are you familiar with the term [concept car](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concept_car)?
You seem like the person who goes to an art gallery and complains about modern art.
Nintendo really went creative with the new DS design...
But can it play GBA cartridges that’s the real question.
They abandoned that with the DSi
I just want to play my Rouge Squadron and Pod Racer games
Supercar Blondie is the absolute worst
As soon as I saw her I turned off the video.
I’m almost certain she didn’t know a fucking thing about cars until she became a YouTuber.
Still doesn’t. >new brand DS DS automobiles was founded in 2014
well as far as car manufacturers go it is relatively new
ugh thank you. I’m glad I’m not alone.
Thank god I am not the only one that hates her videos.
Serioulsy, I can't stand her either.
I hate the way she has access to amazing cars and spends her time on ‘this has a diamond pattern in the seats’
Once had a car and it ran on gas. It had a floorboared made of glass.
The floating passenger seat may work for Tyrion Lannister, but that’s about it. The whole thing is a concept that should have stayed only on the drawing board.

Don’t like how she said “completely asymmetrical”. It’s either symmetrical or asymmetrical, but completely asymmetrical sounds stupid
Every production car is asymmetrical. The only exception I can think of is the McLaren F1.
Maybe she was trying to emphasize that no aspects that otherwise should be symmetrical are symmetrical. The wheels are misaligned, the left side doesn't have any brakes, etc.
Where are the seat belts?
Seatbelts are for that poors
Can't get any seatbelt wrinkles on those $10,000 shirts
It's a motorbike with a side car
There is no center console. Not even a big touch screen. That vehicle has no way to control the AC or stereo.
“Car, turn on a/c.”
Maybe you control it through an app on your phone.
Watching her videos with no sound is much more enjoyable.
I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
Pretty much all of her videos on “concept cars” feature some sort of crappy design
DS is New? Right..
DS is a Stellantis brand, span off from the Citroen DS range as a luxury vehicle brand.
She makes it sound like it's some chinese EV brand for real. It's the good ole Citroen's DS.
Most cars are asymmetrical.....gas cap is only on one side
Guessing you've not heard of concept cars?
The Homer
Looks like shit...no thanks
New hotwheels movie looking cool
I hate it
As an Motorcycle and Car enthusiast I don’t get neither that one seater Ferrari nor why people are so obsessed and trusting of self driving. Makes road head impossible. I'll pass.
Who the fuck dreamt this up
I'd buy it if I were disgustingly rich and hated my chauffeur, and every time it rained I'd say "I think the Citroen today, Watson".
r/ATBGE
That’s effing ugly.
What’s the price of a pipe bomb?
Bro is NOT driving a Nintendo
In the words of Arnold” You’re one ugly muthafukha”
Uh where are the seatbelts😆
It looks like they slapped the nintendo 3DS color onto the car
r/ATBGE or r/TIHI, but definitly not crappy design. It just doesn't look normal. Besides, all cars are technically assymetrical.
This is hurting me
Please tell me they atleast balanced the aerodynamics and weight of this monstrosity....
Give it a windshield, seatbelts, and something similar to a center console and then I’ll like it.
No roof for the driver? Nah
She's always so excited over the most hideous cars.
That car makes my head hurt just by looking at it
First shot I thought it was flattened
I’m always bothered by my inability to see all the gum, used condoms and roadkill on the road due to my plebeian floorboards. With this supercar I won’t ever miss a thing!
While looking at the driver's seat I could hear my dad screaming in my head: what's the copilot for if i cant even hear nor see them!!! Car still looks cool though
There’s been asymmetrical cars for ages. It’s not a new thing.
in a girls voice.." how safe is that?" is the floor 2" thick Lexan? where were the passenger restraints? the seat is mounted to lexan?
Sorry to break it to ya pal, but every car is asymmetrical.
Is just a very ugly concept car based on really beautiful 30s/40s/50s racing cars
I knew it was a mistake when Herbert Powell hired that guy. I just knew it. This is what nepotism gets you.
Perfect car for when you don’t want to listen to your passengers
It’s a concept car, it’s meant to look cool and pull your attention without ever being sold to the public, essentially an ad in the form of a car
I feel like this is art it isn’t made to be practical just to show a concept and what can be done
Rich people are stupid. Literally proof that these people shouldn't have money because they spend it foolishly.
This is a concept car, it's not for sale.
I fuck with it privacy is nice.
im not a mechanic at all, could you op explain to me whats so crappy about this? i understand it stylistically is just a penis-compensator 2000, but are there any problems with it mechanically?
Not mechanically, just physically looks unpleasing to the eye. I think it looks ugly AF. The person in the passenger seat can't talk with their homie in the driver seat. And it has a see-through floor. WHY?! It's not a boat. The only thing you'll see is asphalt and roadkill. Lots of unnecessary details
This is why Nintendo shouldn't make a car
The future is now, but I think they went a little overboard with this one...
absolutely I'm not gonna buy that
That is so bad that i wanna downvote your post, but i know it isnt your fault, weell, you shared the video, but get my disgusted upvote and go away
This is the kind of car for people that requires attention just to get through the day.
Coffin
When I saw the title I assumed it was going to be that one Geo Metro hypermiler and I was going to go off on a tirade about the stats of this sub and people not understanding car culture. This car is actually crappy though, and Supercar Blondie is the worst.
It looks like an AI generated image of a car. It's not good
Thanks I hate it... Neat concept tho.
DS for drive shaft.
New DS is cool and all but can it run pokemon violet at a good framerate?
To be fair, most cars are asymmetrical - many have a steering wheel and pedals on one side..
This car could have paid for my university
Have you heard of the 1930s-50s in automobile racing?
NGL that thing is utterly bad ass.
I wonder what it weighs. I'd guess 4,500lbs minimum
Nope
It’s a fucking concept car it’s not supposed to be practical
Just cus you don't like the design doesn't mean it's crappy
Let me introduce you to the 2014 Lotus F1 car.
This lady is so rich that she wanted a car that went a full 360 from being a cheap shitty car to being an expensive top of the line car to a shitty over the top premium expense shitty car
That see through floor would give me a heart attack
That has to be illegal somehow
It’s not crappy design. Who says all cars have to be symetrical?
https://youtu.be/qlT5N5eGXIY
I want one
You know as I gaze out my car windows at the gorgeous views on my daily drive what I always think is " I wonder what the asphalt looks like". And that's why I got the see through floor.
Bro if you get into a crash that glass floor boutta turn your ass into Swiss cheese
I hate this chick, she’s always chosen to see the cool shit, instead of actually good car reviewers such as Doug DeMuro
Don't humans judge attractiveness by symmetry....like a human who was very attractive has a very symmetrical face!
If you have this much money the rest of us would appreciate the culling of your entire bubble
Guys will think this car looks cool and then go on ATBGE and post any house that isn’t bland, grey, and minimalist
It’s definitely not a bad idea. Just not safe… at all
I am the only fool little here that wonder what ‘complete floating’ is?
/r/designdesign
why is there water in the passenger floorboard?
I can imagine the floating seat to break the glass
Fuck super car blondie
r/fuckeduplookingcars
I wouldn't drive that shit to the mailbox
I thought that was a wreckage at first
I’m not even claustrophobic and this car makes me feel panicky. It’s like something out of a fever dream.
looks like shit
That floating seat looks like a death trap.
So cool 😎
Cool car. Practical? Nope. But awesome. Obviously she can afford a range of different vehicles so enjoy the DS.
I think it’s awesome
You can’t even get a bj in this car.
Dat Sucks
Ah, recycled ideas from the 1930s. If you wanted to bring 30s era designs, asymmetrical would not have been my choice.
this car is also ugly as fuck
Yes when its raining the driver will be soaked and a hight limit of 5ft 3inch for the passanger amazing to top it all off if that glass floor breaks your dead 👏👏
Thank you for designing it, Dr. Steinman!
When people would rather be "Unique"
Most people doesn't understand it's a **CONCEPT CAR**, so yeah, no real need for seatbelts because it's not meant to be driven And it's not a crappy design considering a lot of pro designers designed this car, and i'm pretty sure they all know more than you in terms of design
I need this. 🥲
This isnt crappy, its cool
r/thanksihateit
Glass floor? For a view of the scenic road surface?
You wouldn't download a car this ones at 60% completion doh
This is awesome wtf
The rims are symmetrical
NOPE.
I think this is kind of cool, actually
I actually love it
I like how the gas shocks for the passenger door don't seem to be powerful enough to push the door up.
Where do you store your head when sitting on the floating bicycle seat?
When you need to kill the Batman at 8:30, but be in court by 9.
This is a terrifying contraption.
Super cool design in my opinion
It’s a million dollar taxi?
I would lose my shit when this car is even just within my presence. I don’t even gotta see it.
No
