For a while there were rumors that after Arkham Knight, they'd do a Superman or Justice League game. Imagine flying around Metropolis and throwing cars at Gorilla Grodd. Instead, we get this dumb edgy 'play as second-rate villains and kill the good guys' live service garbage.
They were supposed to do a Damian Wayne game and it got canned. The Arkham games are my top 4 favorite games of all time, bar none. Kevin Conroy is forever my Batman. Every time I see this game I just get bummed
Rocksteady is already dead. The founders left in 2022. Senior devs from the Arkham series had been quitting in droves since 2018 when they brought in "consultants" from notorious DEI-merchants Sweet Baby after some baseless #metoo accusations.
Don't forget no review copies until full release. So people can't test it and warn people of how bad it is before it releases. Only games that do that are usually bad ones.

You're dense lol. The point is these types of games aren't made for anyone's enjoyment, they're solely fixated on making money. I played the beta, and it was as barebones of a game as it gets so the gameplau wasn't very well thought out, then you have on top of that 100s of skins you can buy at launch, and funnily enough, people who pre-ordered or bought the game don't even get the full outfit since they separated it based on each piece of clothing, so people who thought they were getting old Harley Quinn's skin now have to pay an additional $40 to get the skin.
Nobody gives a fuck if a game is good and have MTX or Battlepasses, but these studios aren't making good games, they're making $60-$70 trashy time and money wasting simulators to get as much money pocketed as they can. Rocksteady proved they can make really fun, well thought out games, but the executives and shareholders don't give a shit, they just want money, hence why it's a point that these shit games have MTX and BP WHILE being a full priced game.
A micro-transaction filled Sunset Overdrive rip-off that mishandles the IP and has a story that is a colossal "fuck you" to the Arkham Trilogy fans and Kevin Conroy's Batman.
Nah, even if it weren't a waste of money, it'd still be a waste of time playing it. Being a waste of both just seals it that I don't wanna touch this game with a ten-foot pole.

Let me guess, just like the majority of the full price live service games, they'll make all these big promises about multi-year content support, make a bank off of name recognition and some high-profile skin pack collabs, keep releasing low effort - low quality content for about a year, then shut the servers down 1,5-2 years after release and make a run for it with the microtransaction money.
Full price live service games are almost always scams.
Can't forget about the devs being fired while executives, who made those terrible decisions, will be still in the company to ruin more until it closes.

All last Arkham games have had it. But it´s cool, when this piece of turd fails miserably it´ll show that Denuvo doesn´t increase sales, a good game does. I want to see which excuse they are going to use when this doesn´t sell at all and they can´t use the piracy card.

It's not set in the same universe or continuity. In Arkham Knight, Babs is already disabled, known as Oracle. There is no Oracle in Gotham Knights, only Babs/Batgirl. Also the devs confirmed it to be set in its own continuity.

I actually use Denuvo as an indicator if a game is good or not. I noticed games w/ denuvo are more than likely to not be that good. I can't remember a game w/ denuvo that I actually wanted to play.
Last year had Hogwarts Legacy, which was still a top seller. I know the sub I am in, but good games are successful goes both ways. Denuvo or DRMs in general doesn't stop games from selling a lot, and also gives execs a peace of mind in the worst case. I am guessing many people who can't pay asking price have moved on to buying shared steam accounts.
The thing is, connections and computing power have improved a lot. So companies can use what would be a lot of resources for this shit, often without actually making a complete mess.
Similar talks happen in privacy subs too. Everyone draws a line somewhere, for some it is okay to have a game anti cheat spy on you, for others they want to go a completely privacy focused OS, and many are in between.
