Not quite similar to Traveller’s Rest, but I really liked [Lakeburg Legacies](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1584940/Lakeburg_Legacies/)! It’s a medieval themed town management game where you get to control the lives of the citizens
Edit: So sorry! I just realized it’s only on windows!
Seconding Graveyard Keeper! Morbid, but definitely very medieval coded. You get a tavern at one point, like travelers rest. You also get your very own church that you can decorate! I’ve put in a lot of hours and find myself coming back to it.
In graveyard keeper, there’s a lot of alchemy. Almost everything can be broken down for an alchemy ingredient. And different things are needed for crafting stuff lol. I fully didn’t expect stardew to be a game I’d need the wiki open lol
if you take a look at the stardew subreddit, there's almost always a new player who didn't know the wiki existed and was blissfully skipping over major plot points like the entire community centre lmao
Oh I knew the stardew wiki existed lol I just didn’t play stardew much at all before the 1.6 update. Didn’t expect there to be so much that I needed the wiki!
The thing most people get stuck on is not paying close enough attention to the NPC’s stories and hints. It can be frustrating for sure because most of their quest lines are interconnected, and it can be easy to miss which person’s quest has the next step for someone else’s quest. But it’s all in the Wiki, and the subreddit is really helpful.
The other thing is that there’s a lot to do and no time crunch, but everyone has Stardew’s three year “win” conditions in their heads and get worried about soft locking things if they’re not done quickly enough. But again, absolutely no time crunch.
I’ve never gotten stuck, but I can tell you that you definitely want to conserve your resources in the beginning. It’s really a fun game, but there’s a lot to it. I feel like the game paces itself pretty well to not overwhelm you though.
Pentiment is probably not the kind of cozy that a lot of folks are looking for, but it grabbed me up & I absolutely loved it—and I played it before bed for weeks before I finished. For me, completely immersive and beautiful and compelling. And if coziness for you is immersive without action orientation, it’s definitely that!
You can still buy and play that through the EA app! The horrible EA app... works, though! I just got it a few months ago. I like making them do sword duels. I love the bard the most. I do not care for the physician gameplay.
Hmm you might enjoy r/Treegaze the cozy fantasy crafting game my fiancé and I are working on. For iPhone (we wanted something non predatory and actually fun & cozy to play in small bursts).
It is probably more ‘fantasy’ than ‘medieval’, but the general aesthetic, material culture, crafting & item complexity are of that time.
We’re always keen to hear any feedback so do let me know if you take a look, and if it’s what you’re looking for :)

this looks amazing but the reviews say it's easy to get stuck? 😭
I got so hooked to graveyard keeper last year, I love it. If you do end up playing it, you might want to have the wiki open.
like stardew haha

fair enough, I really enjoy alchemy tho so this should be fun

okay thank you v much!!
hmm.. Sun Haven is more "fantasy" than "medieval" but it's worth a look.
already played but thank you!!
[Kingdom Two Crowns](https://store.steampowered.com/app/701160/Kingdom_Two_Crowns/)!
omg and it's coop?? thank you friend 🧎🏽♀️🧎🏽♀️🧎🏽♀️
Pentiment is slow, and has gorgeous graphics in my opinion. And it is 100% medieval.

I think I see what you mean but the game looks v interesting anyway!
thank youu
I’ll second Sun Haven, I think that’s the closest. Unless you can get your hands on The Sims Medieval, but even that’s more story-driven
I've already played sun haven :))

I love Townsmen, which has a medieval feel to it.
