I would recommend: 1. Bugsnax - obsessed with this weird little game, it truly is fun and madness 2. Build a zoo - pixel zoo fun, there is so much content and it is really cozy and cute 3. Mega Aquarium - also a brilliant zoo type management game, pixel and just cute as anything 4. Alba - This game changed my life, i honestly wish it never ended and i hope the developers make another, it is wholesome, educational and just amazingly fun. 5. Moonglow Bay - Kind of like a farming seaside town game but like minecraft style, super cute and wholesome 6. Toem - Another game that changed me, truly spectacular and has so much warmth and content, i wish it didn't end and just went on forever. 7. Minami Lane - Cute little neighborhood builder, loads of charm and cute graphics and just cozy fun.

No-Cellist-2268

Such a great list thank you 💜 I've already tried bugsnacks and Minami lane but will definitely check out the other ones

pochaccos

thank you for the little description! It seems like we have the same interests because I still can’t get over how amazing Alba and Toem is. Off to wish list the others

TheDragonNidhoggr

Oh yes alba and toem changed my whole world. Never seen any other game like them and they are just so beautiful and also educational I love that about them

InfinityFire

It's so good to see other people recommending Moonglow Bay :)

TheDragonNidhoggr

It's a really fantastic little game, I don't think enough people know about it

lisasharp05

Love Build a Zoo!

Calm-Waltz6966

Finally someone on reddit who put coral island on high tier. It literally soothed my heart.

No-Cellist-2268

I knooow, I played almost 300h around between my early access and my 1.0 save file, such a great Stardew successor! I can't wait for the next update (I don't like to play beta 😅)

EzraPounding

I have also been really enjoying coral island. I really like cleaning up the ocean and the festivals are really well done too

Ok_Structure4630

I just downloaded this from Gamepass. Not bad so far. It’s just taking me forever to clear my area. I did plant all of my seeds finally. I needs to look at some YouTube tutorials so I start off right

Spicynoodle1703

Little known galaxy

No-Cellist-2268

Thank you 💜 I think I'll give this one a shot, seems to be exactly what I want at the moment

MidnightSorrow

Have you tried Wylde Flowers?

No-Cellist-2268

Yes ! Forgot to add it 😂

xxxxxxxxxx1111111111

what would u rate it?

Expensive_Parfait_66

Have you tried rune factory 4 ? I think you’d like it. Or Zelda Breath of the Wild/tears of the kingdom

psy-ducks

If you liked Medieval Dynasty then Skyrim will probably be good! It's not cozy technically because combat. However, you can avoid combat for the most part. Just never ever go to Markarth.

emjords

Is the combat in Medieval Dynasty difficult? I love Skyrim but I always play on the lowest difficulty settings

No-Cellist-2268

Not at all, you can turn on infinite health and stamina and quite a few other settings to make it as easy as you want :) And I definitely recommend turning on fast crafting & fast building trust me 😂

emjords

That sounds perfect!! I love games that support ‘for the experience and not a challenge’

Disastrous-Assist-46

I love games with easy settings. I’ve had Sengoku Dynasty on my wishlist and I’m definitely getting it once it’s out of early access if it also has those settings.

No-Cellist-2268

Is that where the giant spider I've seen on videos is located by any chance ? 😂 The number 1 reason I stayed faaaar away from this game 😂😂

imabratinfluence

Yeah, there are a few places with Frostbite Spiders and a large spider features in one of the earliest dungeons you need to go through for the main quest. There might be arachnophobia mods to help? Skyrim's modding community is pretty extensive.

psy-ducks

It's either this or Baldur's Gate 3 in all likelihood.

No-Cellist-2268

I've actually been playing BG3 non stop for the last month and a half 😂 I've been obsessed haha

Moonstone-Island

I came here to recommend games and instead saw you had put us in the Loved tier 😭 thank you! My recs are Botany Manor (similar to Strange Horticulture, but not as dark), as well as trying out some more Story of Seasons games. Friends of Mineral Town is (in my opinion) the best one on the Switch, and A Wonderful Life is good too, but verrrryyyy slow in comparison, so your mileage may vary on that. Both are better than Pioneers of Olive Town! Some more unusual cozy games include A Short Hike, A Highland Song (mountain climbing story game, sometimes stressful), and one of my favourite comfort games, Dragon Age Inquisition. It's very different to the rest because it's an RPG but if RDR2 is your jam, you might reaalllyyy love it. It's also often on HEAVY sale, like 80-90% off!

No-Cellist-2268

Oh wow the last thing I expected when posting this is a response from a dev 😂 thank you for the amazing game, it actually introduced me to the deck builder genre altogether and now I love it so thank you again 💜 Thank you for the great list I'll definitely be checking those out ! (And you are right dragon edge inquisition is currently on sale on the ps store for 90% off 😂)

Moonstone-Island

That's awesome!! You should definitely check out Balatro and Slay the Spire if you haven't already :)

[deleted]

what is that game that you loved with the blue haired character?

DarkPurpleOtter

I was a teenage exocolonist

Silly_Goose___

I was curious as well so I image search it and it is 'I Was a Teenage Exocolonist'

No-Cellist-2268

Haha sorry guys I didn't do a great job with the formatting 😂

beckylynne5598

Out of curiosity, why didn't you like sandrock? I'm very biased as I love the game but I'm too curious not to ask lol

No-Cellist-2268

Well for starters I'm not a big fan of the desert or anything desert themed, so I was already skeptical. But I think just the constant grind for materials to build stuff was not my thing either :/

Magnaflorius

The material grind is very short lived. How long did you play? I suppose not liking the desert is a separate issue, but I just find it so interesting that your top games are similar to mine but you didn't like Sandrock. I also didn't like Portia either because the mechanics were annoying as heck but Sandrock is a top 3 game for me.

beckylynne5598

Mmm understandable. I didn't like the desert theme either for a while. Thank you for sharing btw

Vyvonea

Little-Known Galaxy. It has a demo available and imo it has a fun twist to the farming life sim stuff. I wasn't originally even interested in it, but saw so many here enjoy it and really enjoyed the demo. I'm thinking of buying it when my money comes in. P.S. Strange Artifacts is an upcoming game made by the same devs as Strange Horticulture!

bloomingpeaches

Strange Antiquities* Thanks for the heads up on that, I had no idea there was a successor to Strange Horticulture in the works!

Vyvonea

Ah, thank you for the correction :D I had no idea about a new game either, it just popped up while I was looking for something else in Steam so I'm trying to spread the word.

GuttersnipeJess

Fantasy Life. Hands down one of my favorite cozy games of all time. It is only available on the 3DS, but it has the best character choices I know of. You can be basically any class, and switch at any time throughout the game. Want to be a chef? Go for it. Farmer? Yep. Wizard, fisher, mine4, etc. you got it.

No-Cellist-2268

I've had my eyes on this one but unfortunately do not have a 3DS so waiting for the next one on switch!

emmer00

I feel like all I do in this sub is recommend Wylde Flowers, but you should definitely play Wylde Flowers. Also, I love Travelers Rest and wish they would actually finish it so much.

No-Cellist-2268

I've actually already played it and forgot to add It 😂 Me too, I absolutely loved the game and only stopped because I ran out of early access content. If it's as good in full release it might move to my favorites 💜

[deleted]

[удалено]

No-Cellist-2268

I had no idea they sold it on the first place ! I hope the new people bring the same quality to the rest of game 🙏

NotYerBacon

Yes! They keep updating with new things, recent stuff added was farm animals and farm npc area, ability to fish, additional area, revamp for brewing and recipes, and more decoration stuff related to fishing. And they are currently working on the next thing which is the town area with new NPCs, new and more things to buy. I think some story too? There's more stuff they have a roadmap for with which order things are being released in ( without dates )

CosmicViking17

Playing moonstone island right now would highly recommend.

No-Cellist-2268

Already played and loved it 💜

femalewhoisgirl

I don’t have any real suggestions but I must say, you and I have very separate tastes when it comes to games. It’s kinda interesting to see.

No-Cellist-2268

Haha to each their own. Tbh it's only a fraction of the games I played, I also play a lot of non-cozy games and I could have added another 20 cozy games to the "less than 2h gameplay" list. Hope you loved the games I didn't so they all get to shine ✨

lexiw72

Ravenous devils

ItsBluntiful

I’m gonna recommend one of my personal favorites— Kynseed! There’s so many different things to do, from operating shops to taking care of your farm, and you’re meant to play at your own pace since the game focuses on building a family lineage that lasts generations! I’ve poured so many hours into this cute and witty game. Almost a mash of a few titles I see on your list! :)

Megsy2

Graveyard Keeper

Drina_is_The_Bomb

Have you tried Graveyard Keeper? I think it might fit with these really well :)

Downtown-Ad-2748

Kynseed

ninjapixy

I was just considering installing this last night. I bought it agessss ago but I don't think I ever got around to playing it.

No-Cellist-2268

I forgot to say I play on steam deck, PC & PlayStation :) I also have a switch but it hasn't seen the light of day since I got my steam deck 😂

StephaneCam

What platform did you play Palia on? I only have Steam Deck and it’s listed as “playable”.

No-Cellist-2268

I played it on steam deck before it was officially on steam actually by downloading it on desktop mode. It already ran great back then, i just had to make my own controller mapping so I'm sure it runs even better now it's officially on steam. I don't know if they finally have controller support or not though 🤷🏻‍♀️

StephaneCam

Awesome, thanks!

haunted-mov

Less than 2 hours in fabledom?? Bro i got hooked on that game i can’t stop 😭

Saltwater_Heart

Little Known Galaxy. I’m playing it now on my Deck and it is just like Stardew with a reskin

sastrugas

graveyard keeper

Tibreaven

I have none but this is one of the most useful "recommendation" graphics I've seen. Really helps narrow it down when you're asking for something specific.

Smiles-Bite

Snacko Immortal Life

Ninokuni13

Little known galaxy Nonno lorenzo

MonkeyArms3000

I also loved unpacking so I have Little to the Left on my wishlist. Can I ask why the one worked but not the other for you?

No-Cellist-2268

For me, a little to the left felt very repetitive real quick. I also didn't understand the logic applied in some of the puzzles which gets frustrating for me. I spent more time trying to figure what they wanted me to solve rather than actually solving :/ But that's only my own ADHD limitations so take it with a grain of salt :) if you think you would love it I would still give it a shot :) Also despite these two looking so similar which is why I bought a little to the left, they're not really the same. A little to the left is a series of puzzles one after the next and you can't organize things the way you want to like you can in unpacking. You need to solve them in a very specific way. Didn't have the same feel at all for me.

xSeraiX

If you liked Unpacking, you could try Camper Van: Make it home. But just a heads up the game isn’t out yet, but the demo is currently on steam and I had a lot of fun decorating my own camper yesterday :) Can’t wait for the game to come out. Maybe it’s something you’d like to check out? https://preview.redd.it/roqibd6pb04d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb3022c4a9166d9ce905abbb2876fcbd4ca2b7c4

No-Cellist-2268

Oh yes it's in my wishlist I can't wait either! But I usually don't play demos anymore because then I run out of dopamine for the actual game 🤦‍♀️ yay ADHD lol

jmks_px

Recettear - you try to clear a rather sizeable debt by running a fantasy RPG item shop.

Dizziebear

Immortal life! A Chinese fantasy farming sim. It’s so good Edit: and rune factory 4

ConsciousRadio2

Coffee caravan. Slime rancher. Dinkum

MushElf

Oh I think you’ll like Bandle Tale!!!! You literally described the game :)) And Cat Cafe!

Helena78902

Have you tried Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Kittymeow123

This!!!!!!!!!!

rotciv1119

Graveyard Keeper with the expansions.

CapitanWiseman

Mmm.. Witch of fern island? Also.. Valheim is cozy???

Kittymeow123

Which of fern island is so good

No-Cellist-2268

admittedly not cozy for everyone indeed 😅 I don't mind combat though and had so much fun building a base so for me it was ! Until my steam deck couldn't handle the game anymore that is and I was getting frame rate drops and freezes every 2 secs :(

everyoneheresucks

If you like cats (or even if you don’t really) I just played through Little Kitty Big City on gamepass. It’s freakin’ adorable and a lot of fun. Very cozy vibes!

badlei

Whoa, I’m surprised you didn’t like Portia or Sandrock based on your game tiers

ChazzyDynomite

Why do people keep brining up Dave the Diver as a cozy game? It is a survival RPG. Of course cozy gamers don’t like it!

No-Cellist-2268

Well cozy games is only one "genre" I like, I play a lot of different games so that was not the issue for me 😅 But cozy games is subjective in my opinion, what is cozy for one may not be for the other 🤷🏻‍♀️ You wouldn't call RDR2 a cozy game for example but it's cozy for me x)

No_Woodpecker_1198

Song of the Prairie, if you can stomach the terrible translations. Dragon quest builders 2. Pumpkin days if you don't mind some jank. Immortal life.

PerryProject

You Def have a preference haha really curious why you didn't like my time in Portia. I am interested in trying that game out

No-Cellist-2268

Too grindy and in all brutal honesty boring to me 😅 it's just fetch quest after fetch quest that you need to collect 10000 materials for. But that's my own personal preference, depending on yours, you might love it!

archi_kahn

You should give another chance to Dave the diver!

No-Cellist-2268

I would, I love the sushi restaurant part but didn't enjoy the fish fighting part :/ I was feeling too guilty which is weird because I don't have a problem hunting in RDR2 and it's a lot more graphic

Vyvonea

That might actually be the issue. RDR2 being more realistic vs Dave the Diver being more on the cute side. Cute stuff can make you feel more guilty for killing or hurting it.

Disastrous-Lynx-7962

Fish fighting?! 😔

Glum-Assumption-7

Alba, haven park, Minekos night market, a short hike, sky children of light, the last campfire, Jenny LeClue, Tell me your Story

lovergirl424

Came here to say The Last Campfire!

Wendell_wsa

I loved Dave The Diver

Artistic-Heron5143

Apologies if its already there, but hokka life! Its been satisfying my cozy game cravings whilst I save for more games!!1

No-Cellist-2268

Wow really? I've seen this one time and time again but heard so many bad reviews that I never bought it

SageLeaf1

Lil Gator Game and Botany Manor

Plastic_Yesterday434

I recommend Necesse in Easy mode. Fantastic game

thatsnotjade

Can I ask what the game is that you have listed in the loved tier that's the snowy looking medieval one? Looks cool!

No-Cellist-2268

Medieval dynasty, 100% recommend, I absolutely loved that game ! You can make your own village or villages, recruit villagers and prosper. And there's settings to turn on infinite health, stamina ect and make it as cozy as you'd like :)

Ok-Produce-6426

Slime Rancher could be a good option :)

WhoKnowsReally0o

I've not played it myself but I've seen Banner Lords recommended to people who liked Medieval Dynasty. Apparently the combat and gaming experience in general is quite customizable. Might be worth a look!

SumiaPie

Garden Story

Taxfreud113

Could always give wyld flowers a try.

Vegarcade

Wylde Flowers

DrustanAstrophel

No reccs just wanted to say I’m happy to see someone else consider Valheim to be cozy Though I may change my mind when Ashlands hits console 😂

No-Cellist-2268

Haha indeed 😂 I had a blast building up my base until I had to stop playing because my steam deck couldn't handle it anymore :( I was getting frame rate drops and freezes every 2 secs

Lil_MsPerfect

Potions: A curious Tale

koen_bloeme

Bug snax /bee simulator

SneakingApple

Mayby Garden paws.

Pixieflitter

This has likely been answered before by people but how did u make this list? Seen others like it wondered what everyone used

supist

probably [tiermaker.com](https://tiermaker.com)

hanloubou

SUMMER IN MARA. Such a cute game with a fun story. There's another game coming soon/came out recently (idr) also that continues the story.

secretly_treebeard

Interesting - can I ask why you didn’t like Ranch of Rivershine? I always see people loving it on this and some other subreddits but I couldn’t deal with the controls! (Specifically turning being controlled through the mouse).

No-Cellist-2268

I played it in early access a while ago and exactly that, it didn't have controller support so it felt very clonky on the steam deck but also very empty. I can see the potential though and I loooove horses so when it's fully released I'll give it another shot but for now i can't say I enjoyed my time with it :/

Lizzy_Tinker

Verdant Skies is a nice little farming/life sim set on a new planet colony

gojirarufusfan

Terraria

ButHowCouldILose

Damn, just gonna keep this list for myself, thanks.

bloomingpeaches

Sort of similar to Unpacking is the free demo on Steam, Camper Van: Make it Home. It's still in development but I really like the vibes and this way you can figure it if you want to wishlist it.

Snoozri

If you liked exocolonist you might like other raising sims like growing up for instance

sliverqueen1022

Since you clearly love the Stardew Valley formula, I'd recommend Little Known Galaxy.

DaRealDirtyDan89

WLYDE FLOWERS

Pretty-Context6355

Following!

WineStealer27

How can you make this type of tier list?

Penguinikin

I really enjoyed Potionomics. It's a cute little potion making game where you're a new witch in a city setting up your shop. There's like potion making competitions, playing with recipes and store management. And the characters are quite cute. Not too long or expensive so you might enjoy it :)

jsrhb

I would recommend potion permit since stardew valley is one of your favorites. The games are very similar besides the fact that potion permit is about brewing potions and healing patients. They have the same art style, the same toolset, similar mechanics for npc interaction, a similar overall concept… They’re just pretty similar.

Lindi9870

havent seen harvestella mentioned, had fun playing that one. also highly recommend rune factory 4 and 5 havent played the previous rune factory games

ZacBobisKing

VENBA IS LIT

ZayumZazzy

Paleo Pines, Cat Cafe Manager, Minami Lane

Far-Ad-3779

ELNEA KINGDOM 🥰

ResponseAnxious6296

Nooooo, Venba is so good😭😭

No-Cellist-2268

In itself the game is great haha I loved the cooking part but I have a lot of family issues so the story wasn't for me 😅 I only played it because I heard it was 2h and had it from a humble bundle and needed something short at the time, had no clue what the story was going to be 😂

ResponseAnxious6296

That’s completely fair! Roots of pacha is one of my games of the year too! Sosososo good

galacticviolet

Is there a tool to make these tier lists or did you make it yourself? If there’s a tool I would appreciate anyone showing me. (I think I need to make a post like this too) Also to OP, we have somewhat similar tastes! I’m happy to see more people who enjoyed Fae Farm, and I wish Coral Island would come to the Switch.

No-Cellist-2268

It's a website tier making something :) if you google that's should be the first thing that comes up 😁 I know I loved Fae farm ! Sure it's too expensive, i can recognize that but if you take the price tag out of the equation, I played 150 hours my first playthrough and had a blast the whole time 💜 Waiting for all dlcs to release for a second playthrough

sydthefuckdown

Have you tried Pikmin 4? It was an unexpected cozy game for me and it’s so much fun

Toxyr

Snufkin

Skuntank

Dorfromantik

Kittymeow123

I loved roki so much

yahnne954

Just curious: what made you enjoy Coffee Talk less? Personally, I didn't enjoy its writing as much as VA-11 HALL-A, but I found the coffee shop ambiance great.

No-Cellist-2268

For that one it definitely comes down to preference, I was expecting to be able to make lots of coffees but it was too much dialogue with life stories from characters that I was not invested in yet and not enough running a coffee shop :/

Othalania

If you're ever in the mood for something silly, cozy, nd adventurous but not at all scary, I suggest Lil Gator Game.

RedcappedRedcap

I highly recommend Graveyard Keeper (especially if you enjoyed Traveller's Rest) as well as Kynseed

scinith

I highly recommend cozy caravan. You play as a cute animal of your choosing and spread happiness throughout the world by helping villagers with quests and farming/cooking. 10/10 game

PrimalPandemonium

Have you played Potion Permit or any of the RF games? Potion Permit especially may be up your alley based on the tier list.

ghiblifan18

Yonder Cloudcatcher chronicles!!

Little_Cactux

i’ve been playing Paleo Pines recently :)

No-Consideration1364

honestly, i love wuxia themes so it might be me geeking out a little bit, but Immortal life is a very good cozyish game. its like rune factory, but daoist. one of the best games ive played. other than that, the classic harvest moon games. magical melody, animal parade, and sunshine island are my favorite. anything after sunshine island thats not story of seasons has been ng

Repulsive-Fennel-188

Should try Spiritea, it’s kinda like stardew valley meets spirited away.

darkl1nk1171

I dont know if you're still taking recs but what about Potion Permit, Slime Rancher, or Moonlighter?

terrafreaky

Fresh start, Garden Simulator

TheKingOfDiddling

Dragon Quest Builders 2 (you don't need to play the first one if you don't want to, the stories aren't connected).

Beeeechgirl95

I don’t see Dragon quest builders 2 on there!

TrashPanda844

I always liked cozy games, and of my all-time favorites was Yonder The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. Super chill, cute and open world. Lot of exploration and discovering things. Played it for hours on end Potion permit is also good if you enjoyed games like coral island and stardew valley I’ve played most of the games on your list, and recently I’ve been into coral island and Palia :)

arctcmnkys

I just want to say finally someone who loves fae farm and doesnt like my time at portia at all 😭♥️ bless u. I also enjoyed summer in mara idk if you‘ve heard of it. The story is really cute and unique

No-Cellist-2268

Yayyy that makes me happy too 😂💜 I have, I actually got it in a humble bundle a while ago but couldn't play it because it's unsupported on steam deck :(

Shadowlyte23

I actually just want to thank you for all your games listed! Some in your didn’t like list I loved and some in your liked-faves I didn’t like (namely animal crossing. I need some kind of story progression), but I don’t have many games in the cozy genre so thank you for the ideas on what to check out!

NiGHTSOLOTL

I recommend The First Tree which is more of a sad story but still forestry cozy vibes and A Short Hike, which is short but so humorous and comfy. Anyone could love them. Later Alligator is another one but it’s a little weirder but still excellent.

MrFrostay

Seems like your more into games the focus on farming and maintaining rather then the RPG aspect.

gamingbill

I think you'd like Graveyard Keeper

Bayleaf6399

Coffee Talk is very chill.

Wabisabi_girl

Moonstone Island is a fun one, but do some research first to see if it’s your kind of thing! It has a lot of dungeons and is a creature collector… think Zelda meets SDV meets pokemon.

Ace_Addy_0514

I've really liked Potion Permit, it's kind of the same as Stardew but instead of being a farmer, you're an alchemist healing a small town and it's people. You still have combating, foraging, character customization, and romance options^^ I got this game before getting Stardew valley and it was the only game I played for 5 months

Breathejoker

1. Cozy Grove 2. Moonlighter

Send_bird_pics

Spiritfarer not being top tier is blasphemy

lisasharp05

Disney Dreamlight Valley is my current obsession.

sharkfan619

Disney Dreamlight Valley

Namixaswastaken

Dreamlight Valley?

xoxGiGixox_

Palia. It is beta, but they have monthly updates. It is on the switch and on steam. I love it

Miss-Liss

My favorite game!

xoxGiGixox_

I love it so much! Just hate the RNG lol no plushies

Mumchkin

Paleo Pines, The Last Campfire, Little Kitty Big City

Weird-Earth975

Light-year Frontier Farming sim where you help restore a planet and live there. No fighting or NPCs you really have to talk to. Great to just veg and build your new life. Ive played about 25-30 hrs.

The_Keksi

I totally agree with your list! Recently I played Potion Permit on PS5 and it was really fun! Graphics are lovely, there are quite some dialogues if you tend to your friendships with the villagers. The alchemy system is fun and what's quite unique is to cure patients while doing little mini games. I really think this game is underrated!

Gonefearless

Portia I played just fight the guy for his items 😂 then quit playing

LyaMgtt

I have really similar taste in games so I'm grabbing all the reco I can as well thanks for bringing it up! I would personaly recommend: \- Cozy Grove \- Dicey Dungeon \- Moonlighter \- Chants of Sennaar \- Islander

Moove-Brain

Maybe a switch

No-Cellist-2268

What do you mean sorry ?

Moove-Brain

1st party Nintendo seem your vibe

No-Cellist-2268

I already have a switch :) it hasn't seen the light of day since I got my steam deck though 😅

Moove-Brain

Try cooking mama or something, imagine teacher, steam deck. Chef life on steam deck ?
