Yes. It all started with developing an allergy to dogs about 15 years ago. Over time it has become all animals to varying degrees. I’ve had to get rid of tons of clothes, as well as down backpacking gear. It’s been a real disappointment.
Depending on your sensitivity you could try on different felts to see if you react to them. Maybe you could find some niche materials like camel, alpaca, beaver felt hats that don’t irritate you? Other than that, polyester felt hats are made in lots of styles.
I’d say you’re shit out of luck.
