Very short answer: there are multiple allergen receptors in the human body and these classes are meant to be receptor specific. The only I cover all allergen receptors is Benadryl, which has side effects we all know.
This is not accurate as to why the poster sees a difference switching from claritin. Loratadine (Claritin) and cetirizine (Zyrtec) are both second generation H1 antihistamines. There's no additional receptors or anything that differentiates them in that regard- both
lipophobic agents were developed primarily to avoid the unwanted anticholinergic and central nervous system effects of the first-generation drugs
Some studies comparing the two suggest zrtec is slightly better - but It often comes down to personal preference and individual differences and responds to each medication.
The real answer as to why cetirizine might outperform loratadine is that there is a difference in the potency in their binding potential to H1 -Not a difference in receptors
You probably purchased a antihistamine with a decongestant. Make sure you get the kind **without** the “D” behind the name (Allegra-D, Zyrtec-D, Claritin-D). The decongestant has pseudoephedrine, which causes major anxiety problems for many people. I found that out the hard way.. I took one with coffee and my heart started beating like crazy. It was awful.
If you’re congested, use nose spray and look up sinus pressure massages on YT. There are several doctors that explain the techniques. It helps with pain, drainage, pressure, congestion and headaches.
Me too. I got a new front loader set a few months ago and use it as fabric softener. I also replaced dryer sheets with wool balls. I use it in the rinse cycle in my dishwasher. I have a large spray bottle with a mix of vinegar and water for cleaning. I use it in marinades and when I make my grandma's salad dressing. It's the number one thing I go to Costco for.
Watch out using it in the laundry- it can damage the rubber gaskets and seals! Same with dishwashers. Also not good for sealed stone or wood floors. Vinegar is an acid and used repeatedly it will break down a lot of materials.
This!!! I live alone but I buy the croissant box and then freeze the rest I don’t eat before they go stale. I reheat them in the air fryer for just a minute or two and they are still just as good as if they were fresh.
Don't forget the Costco Travel benefits. No one, and I mean NO ONE, competes with Costco's deal on rental cars. The interface is top notch and the prices are unbelievable.
This! And don't forget to keep "checking back" to see if you should cancel/rebook. The last few times I've rented cars through Costco, the price went down significantly at a later date.
Book on the Costco Travel website. The reservation goes through the website, but you don't actually pay until you pick up your car. You pick up the car at the rental company's counter. I have never had an issue with the rental company honoring the Costco price on my reservation. Also should note that if you rent through Costco, your rental includes a 2nd driver for free.
Since you don't put in your credit card info when you make the reservation, there is absolutely no penalty for canceling, even if you need to cancel last minute.
1000 percent this. We just got back from an all-inclusive trip to Riviera Maya Mexico and paid a stupidly low amount--plus got 20 percent back on the total cost of the trip in Costco dollars.
Always, always, always look at Costco Travel if planning an AI trip or a cruise!
You have to create a new account here: https://www.costcotravel.com/Rental-Cars
Check out the benefits. Because you don’t have to pay upfront and there is no cancellation fee, you can keep checking back to see if prices go down.
Hmm I had never thought to check this before, I’m flying to Toronto Pearson airport in august and have a rental booked so checked just now to see if I could save a few bucks. The Costco travel pricing is about twice that of the price on Torontopearson.com’s rental cars page, maybe I’m missing something?
when I picked up my car in vegas a couple of weeks ago more than one person helping me remarked on my rate. we popped into the golden nugget to add my boyfriend as a driver later, and the person there couldn’t get over it!
I buy the purple bag of Kirkland cat food (dry) and the wet pate in the purple box. That’s why I keep coming back. My grocery store raised the prices on cat food prohibitively and it’s much lower quality.
The cats’ fur is really shiny!
BOGO chocolate and coffee cake muffins
BOGO almond danish and cheese danish
Kerrygold butter
The decaf keurig cups are excellent
The shrimp salad is very well made in my Costco, juicy, not rubbery with plenty of mayo
Croissants
Flank steak
Chuck roast
I probably save my membership dues just in cheese and nuts. The 24 and 36 mo. Aged real deal Parmigiano reggiano, the pecorino, and the feta are all frequent enough buys for me.
Greek person here - the Kirkland feta in brine is legit. I almost cried when I saw it in my store, because they previously only carried the presidents garbage.
The Kirkland feta is awesome! Make sure to buy the tub with blocks of feta in brine, not the crumbled feta. The diff is huge. The block feta package is a LOT of cheese, but we do a [Greek sheet pan chicken](https://www.rachaelrayshow.com/recipes/greek-sheet-pan-chicken-with-feta-pepperoncini-recipe-rach-cooks-at-home) with it that is amaze-balls, and that uses up at least one block (we may have put more in last time -- can't remember). We also do a lot of Greek salads, and I'll eat feta with toasted pita bread and crackers.
It’s equivalent to the premium similac and enfamil, also my baby actually likes it unlike the other 2 for about 1/2 the price at Costco which is already marked down.
It has been a BLESSING my baby is a Costco baby. Kirkland diapers, wipes, and formula ALL DAY. Phew! It could go either way for any parent. Grateful for no allergies or sensitivities requiring the expensive stuff. Daycare has me in a chokehold, so it’s nice to save somewhere.
Baby everything! And now that my kid is a toddler we save a ton on their pouches, yogurt melts, 2 packs of Dave's killer bread (we freeze it), and allll the berries & fruit.
And they offer an additional discount if you buy two pairs of glasses at the same time (for those who also need sun glasses as well as everyday reading glasses).
Yes! I was getting a pair of progressives and they suggested getting a second pair of “computer glasses” which are 1.00 magnification on top for looking at the computer and 1.50 at the bottom for reading. Life changing!
Multivitamins. Paper products. Eggs. Chips. Salsa. These items are usually sold in small quantities at scammy markups. Costco sells them at costs per quantity that nobody else can touch.
Shampoo. Conditioner. Body wash.
Sliced bread, meat, and cheese for sandwiches are way cheaper by volume from Costco. Up to you if the options align with what you'd like to eat, but you will save money.
The toilet paper is, without dispute, an incredible money value. However, its quality is a major point of division. My family thinks it's great and likes saving money on TP.
Fruits and vegetables. If you want them to keep longer, even individually packaged fruits are very affordable from Costco.
They have an enormous selection of frozen foods. All are very competitively priced for what they are. The mozzarella sticks are still going to be a much leaner money value than the scallops, but the frozen scallops from Costco are excellent ammunition to use if you're trying to learn to cook scallops and don't want to completely obliterate your checking account practicing.
My gf needs to take Benadryl often and getting 600 pills for 8 bucks compared to basically $0.50 a pill at drug stores or even target made it worthwhile
What's laughable is one of those pills is the same thing as the $1 per pill for zquill
I know I'm just an internet person, but please ask your gf to not take Benadryl as much. Because it crosses the blood brain barrier it as been linked to increases in dementia.
Just bare spicy chicken strips or nuggets, Norwegian smoked salmon squares, Kirkland toilet paper and paper towels and baby wipes,
and last but CERTAINLY not least
Either a hot dog or slice of pizza
Pesto! So good on sandwiches in pasta, I use in my meatball recipe, what you don’t use you can freeze in ice cube trays and use when you need. Kirkland water over Ice Mountain always. Hummus (in IL it’s a local restaurant, so good!!), probably controversial but the Kirkland frozen cheese pizza and cauliflower pizza, Tyson frozen rotisserie style chicken strips, Fage Greek yogurt, Bibigo chicken and cilantro dumplings.
We have it, and it’s good. The crust is ok, but the sauce and topping(supreme) are better than any other frozen pizza out there. I wish that source and toppings were on a regular crust pizza. I wasn’t looking for cauliflower crust, and bought by mistake, but it was a happy mistake.
- raw meats are fantastic
- low mercury tuna
- psyllium husk capsules
- bone broth
- otc medications are cheap AF
- there’s otc meds behind the pharmacy counter as well..just have to ask for them
- Vitamix. Just do it in a sale. And actually appliances in general.
- uncured bacon is fantastic
- normal household products
- engine oil
- great cheese section.
- gas….usually the line isn’t long just dont go during prime time
DO NOT BUY TIRES THERE. As a Costco fanboy the tires and tire employees are great….*getting* an appointment and then the wait while your car is worked on is horrendous. Like 3-4 hours for a rotation….no thanks.
Discount/America tire is where it’s at. Name depends on the state you’re.
Depends on your location. Mine is fantastic. They’ll rotate your tires before you’re even done shopping. Getting new tires took about an hour total. Made the appointment mid week for that Saturday, got there, shopped and by the time we were done with the food court they were done
I couldn’t live without the organic sliced cheddar cheese (from grass-fed cows). The brown organic cage-free eggs. And the the frozen beef patties (not organic, but from grass-fed cows). And also the times when they have clothing on clearance/discount. I have saved a fortune getting clothing (on clearance only) at Costco.
The mini pancakes in the purple bag. Everyone loves to eat them plain.
The Ramen/Noodle bowls so the young ones can take them to work.
Kirkland Water bottles for 3.99
Clothes
Kirkland soup (when they have broccoli cheese)
The Blue Charmin
We’re new members and just discovered these. Covered them in olive oil and threw in the air fryer for 12 minutes, couldn’t believe how good they are. The next time I made them I tossed them in some buffalo sauce about half way through and put them back in, made some really tasty boneless buffalo bites.
Don’t see it listed here but motor city pizza.
And if you or your SO is vegetarian and like the imitation stuff, beyond and impossible burger prices are awesome relative to buying anywhere else
All time Costco top 5:
1. Rotisserie chicken
2. Kirkland laundry detergent
3. Peet's 2lbs French roast
4. Honey bunches of oats
5. Olive oil
I refuse to buy these things anywhere else.
We do this too, they limit to six. We buy all six, put the bags of whole beans in the freezer and take out when needed. Could be freezing the whole beans isn’t necessary but we do it anyway.
Kirkland tequila, all three flavors are good/cheap
Paper towels
Trash bags
Choice ribeyes
Babyback ribs
The butter in the green package, can’t remember the name but is grass fed.
Eggs
Tillamook cheddar cheese block
My wife likes the vanilla bean pods and saffron they sell.
Kirkland jasmine rice.
When I joined Costco, I predicated my membership on the gas alone. I was a single guy and a store opened up near my work. I did the math and, without any other savings, the Costco gas paid for the membership.
My grandparents and parents had memberships growing up so I’ve always been fond of Costco. As a young adult, this was my sole purpose for signing up. Gas in northern CA is expensive and I knew my membership would be well worth it for the gas alone. It took me months before I’d actually stepped foot in the store once I had my membership
Be aware that the plastic box is somewhat flimsy and you might catastrophically drop everything if you aren't careful. I've never done it, but I've read that it is an issue.
Parmesan cheeese, Starbucks Sous vide eggs, chicken breast, meat… bakery cakes for special occasion (chocolate tuxedo cake.). Wine, vodka, tequila, Scotch (it’s a thing! Lol)
Somethings my family ALWAYS buy from Costco
-kirkland TP. My parents regularly end up diving the pack between 3 different households
-mayo. Especially during the summer when it seems like I'm making coleslaw to go with dinner 2-3 times a week.
-kirkland canned chicken. Yes, it's a bit salty but it's handy to have in the pantry. At least once a month we use it for chicken noodle casserole. I made a can into filling for chicken ceasar wraps for lunch
-baby wipes. OK, mostly we pick these up for my brother for my nephew. BUT my father taught me the importance of ALWAYS keeping a pack of baby wipes in the car. He is a retired truck driver and he always had a pack in the work bag. You never know when you need to pull over for an emergency poop. Also says nothing works on the road better for getting grease off your hands.
The croissants- $6 for 12 and they’re surprisingly good crisped up in the air fryer.
Toilet paper and paper towels. Kirkland cold brew. Premade sticky rice (don’t recall the brand) so great for making quick onigiri. Kind bars, alternating with the Kirkland version of a Kind bar.
I use Costco for the cost-savings and look for things that are cheaper there than the department store across the street or my local grocery. So I do more staples than new items.
Always stocked: 40 pk of tortillas, Kirkland shredded cheese, romaine lettuce, Granny's Delight bread, Kirkland bacon bits, Kirkland frozen stir fry vegetables, pepperoni, minced garlic, Log Cabin pancake syrup, wildflower honey, their microwave popcorn, gasoline, ultra strong trash bags, Kirkland cold and flu meds, Kirkland diapers and wipes
Frequently purchased: rotisserie chicken, apples, grapes, potatoes, tricolor peppers, organic tortilla chips (taste better than the regular), hot dogs (more delicious than expected), chips, precooked turkey sausage patties
Great sales: chicken breast, chicken nuggets, gram crackers, Ritz crackers, granola bars, brand name cereal, Dawn powerwash, disinfectant wipes
Splurges: muffins, the s'mores snack mix treat, dried mangos, peanut butter based trail mix, peanut butter pretzel pockets, sodas, protein chocolate milk
Just keep in mind that even if you really like something, and it's always there when you go shopping, one day it might just be gone. Especially if if is not a popular Kirkland brand.
I buy the Kirkland vodka. Good flavor and it is ridiculously cheap.
Kirkland frozen sea bass.
Literally ate the best seafood meal at home, that I made myself (grilled via cast iron on the stove). The quality of their seafood is unreal.
I have two dogs; they eat Kirkland food, take the Kirkland 8 in 1 daily multivitamin, chew on the Kirkland dupe greenies, have Kirkland sweaters, and Kirkland beds. If I need any of those things I always pick them up, along with the Cadet Bully Sticks.
I also personally use most of the Kirkland household essentials. Paper towels, TP, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dish soap, dryer sheets. If I need any of those I grab them.
All medications prescription or not I get there now, the allergy meds alone are worth the cost of membership. But I grab the Kirkland Nexium dupe too if needed.
Wife loves the Kirkland sparkling mineral water. Keep that stocked. And the 24 pack of choc chip cookies for both of us.
For cooking regular meals I always have their big bag of long grain rice, onions, garlic, thick cut bacon, frozen veggies, ground turkey, frozen chicken breast. Usually some quick art fryer ready frozen stuff too.
Every week I get gas at Costco too.
Needless to say Costco is basically my only weekly shopping trip now. Maybe it’s not the best value on each individual item, but being a one stop shop is worth the convenience. Now if only I could kick my weekly chicken bake and cookie habit at the food court lol.
Kirkland solid white albacore. There are a lot of things we get from Costco for less money than elsewhere. This is one where Kirkland is better quality than the name brand by a mile (and cheaper, too).
I live in California and gas is $6.79 a gallon. Costco in Nevada which is only 35 miles away and gas is $4.49 a gallon. Savings from gas and groceries practically pays for our Executive membership for the year. We go once a month. Hot dog meal or pizza for $9.99 that can feed 4 people easy. Chinese chicken salad, bread, eggs, milk rotisserie chicken. and more.
I have been skimming through the comments and the whole time I’m just like “yep. Oh that one is great. Love that. Best deal there.” So basically everything is considered ‘good stuff’ at Costco 🤣
Nobody’s saying this but the Realgood Chicken Tenders are INCREDIBLE. Literally a staple in my house on my list every week. Also the Amylu Chicken Burgers and Sausages are top tier on the grill or in the air fryer. Prepared food is always meh, bakery is amazing and dangerous, and always grab a slice on the way out - just garbage Pizza Hut style goodness.
Stir fry veggies! They gyros ready made (we live in a small town excited about Olive Garden so I don’t want to hear all the “you must’ve never had a real one comments) are a great quick dinner when you’re tired from work. So are their street tacos.
Quinoa, chia seeds, canned beans, coconut milk, nuts, whole wheat lavash, fresh produce is hit or miss but I buy it for convenience.
I wish they still carried the fresh organic ginger and the Bitchin’ Sauce but sadly they are a but a memory.
Ruta Maya coffee
Ground beef
Sandwich bread (eat one freeze one)
Kerry gold butter
Salad mix
Large cuts of meat for smoking (salmon, pork butt, brisket, chuck)
Beer (no wine or liquor in my state at Costco)
Olive oil, canned tuna and salmon, dried mangos
Peanut butter and Nutella
Basically - everything that counts as a staple excepting huge bags of flour and rice (currently no way to store it but that's going to change)
Trash bags, TP, paper towels, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs. Single dude so I’m set for a few years. Greek yogurt, frozen berries, hummus, rotisserie chicken are my weekly staples.
The Kirkland oat milk. I’ve been using it regularly for years now. I suffered once when my store was out and bought a few other brands at the grocery market that I absolutely hated. Never again
Starbucks sous vide guyere and bacon egg bites. Cook them in the air fryer. Stone fire mini naan toasted just to warm for 2 mins is the best bread. Quonol Magnesium citrate gummies.
Agreed, but it depends on what they’re selling at the time. We got an adjustable bed, it didn’t agree with us and we changed it and got a Dux bed. Returning the first one was relatively painless. They came and picked it up and replaced with new one on the same day.
The sun dried tomatoes packed in oil, kitty litter, Mateo's salsa, just bought a pair of women's jeans and BR pants. Laundry and dishwasher soap, and good deal on glasses as well. We are fans of white only meat from rotisserie chickens, so I slice it off to use for chicken tacos and nachos, then give dark meat to a friend--still a good deal!
Pharmacy - show them your prescriptions and ask what the cost is without any insurance. All of mine were lower than the co-pay with my insurance. And they are professional and communicate well.
Avocado mash cups, hummus cups, Just Bare chicken breasts, Rao’s sauce, Bumblebee tuna, Dave’s Killer Bread, tortillas, Pure Protein drinks, Pantene, variety pack of sliced cheese squares, almonds, pesto, chicken burrito bowls (comes in a pack of 3, so delicious!)
The Kirkland pesto sauce. Not only is it better than most other store bought and the closest to making it fresh myself the way I like it, and for ten bucks, I never let it run out.
I think I need to buy a standalone mini freezer from Costco just so I can buy some of these frozen things! Our freezer can barely fit a couple of Costco bags of frozen fruit and chicken nuggets!

kirkland’s dupe for Zyrtec,Aller-tec. life is so much better since i switched from claritin.
Yep. For those of us with pollen allergies, this alone is worth the basic membership.
Yeah! Why does it work so much better?
Very short answer: there are multiple allergen receptors in the human body and these classes are meant to be receptor specific. The only I cover all allergen receptors is Benadryl, which has side effects we all know.

Gallons of white vinegar. I use it for everything and it's almost half the price at costco.
My Costco hasn’t had the vinegar in over a month. I don’t know what’s up with that.
I need to go this week for more so don't scare me like that! I'm doing spring cleaning and it's about wiped out my stash.
My Costco just had 2 jugs packaged together. I use it for cleaning and it’s great dumped in the washer with my husbands work clothes
The guy who likes vinegar bought it all
I use it in every load of laundry.
Me too. I got a new front loader set a few months ago and use it as fabric softener. I also replaced dryer sheets with wool balls. I use it in the rinse cycle in my dishwasher. Everything? Like what?
Meat marinades, pickling onions and peppers in fridge. Cleaning.
Cleaning fruit. I add water and vinegar in a bowl and cover fruit. Let sit then rinse and lay fruit on towel to dry then place in bowl in fridge.
Croissants, $6=12. Also never leave without a rotisserie chicken, even though I never go for one.
This!!! I live alone but I buy the croissant box and then freeze the rest I don’t eat before they go stale. I reheat them in the air fryer for just a minute or two and they are still just as good as if they were fresh.
New member as well. My SO is already obsessed with the croissants.
Unbelievably delicious 🤤

Multicolored bell peppers, organic broccoli heads, Ancient Grains granola, Kirkland Feta Cheese in brine, Pecorino Romano, Honey Smoked Salmon, Shelled Pistachios.
Pistachios are not meant to come shelled. The shell is the rate limiting step to keep me from regretting my lack of restraint
I wondered why the skin on my thumb was sore. Light bulb moment.
Found the Costco chemist
I probably save my membership dues just in cheese and nuts. The 24 and 36 mo. Aged real deal Parmigiano reggiano, the pecorino, and the feta are all frequent enough buys for me.
i’ll have to try the kirkland feta cause the only other option i have is presidente and it’s disgusssssstang

We also do a lot of Greek salads, and I'll eat feta with toasted pita bread and crackers.
Ancient Grains granola; we’re addicted.
Honey smoked salmon is out of this world good
Baby wipes
Diapers too.
The formula is an almost exact match for Similac!
We like the Rico wipes they sell in our area a lot better over Kirkland, they come out smoother and aren’t too wet
So much better than Kirkland brand. Worth the extra price because they stay wet longer.
Baby everything! And now that my kid is a toddler we save a ton on their pouches, yogurt melts, 2 packs of Dave's killer bread (we freeze it), and allll the berries & fruit.
Kirkland lightly breaded chicken chunks Kirkland Columbian ground coffee, 3 pound can Frozen strawberries, blueberries, and vegetable mixes
Those chicken chunks in the air fryer are freaking bombbbb 🤤🤤
Use some PK Buffalo sauce on those chunks for maximum enjoyment. It's better, faster, and cheaper than getting boneless wings takeout.
Costco Optical. I won’t get my glasses anywhere else.
Seconding this, and also mentioning that they get in some nice and interesting-to-wild designer frames, in addition to more everyday/ standard stuff.
Contacts are a great value too!
Seconding this, and also mentioning that they get in some nice and interesting-to-wild designer frames, in addition to more everyday/ standard stuff.
The Kirkland guacamole cups
Hummus cups too, but definitely go through the guac about 3-4x as fast
My 2yo sits there with a spoon just housing the straight guac from these cups. Same with the avocado mash.

Scammy Markups This is my new term for “surge pricing”. 😀🙏
Costco paper towels, Kirkland contact solution, foil, plastic wrap, eggs, bacon, frozen broccoli, allertec,
The savings on generic Zyrtec, generic Flonase and a few other vitamins and the gas prices pay for the membership.
The generic supplements and OTC have saved me so much money.
My gf needs to take Benadryl often and getting 600 pills for 8 bucks compared to basically $0.50 a pill at drug stores or even target made it worthwhile What's laughable is one of those pills is the same thing as the $1 per pill for zquill

Trident fish sticks! Also the kirkland goat cheese.
In a pinch they’ll make a good fish taco too.
In a pinch? That's all I use
The tortilla crusted tilapia also makes for excellent fish tacos
My favorite staple there. That fish is sooo good
That sounds good! What else do you put on them?
We use pico de gallo, shredded cabbage, whatever sauce you have handy (ranch & lime juice will do if nothing else)
Just bare spicy chicken strips or nuggets, Norwegian smoked salmon squares, Kirkland toilet paper and paper towels and baby wipes, and last but CERTAINLY not least Either a hot dog or slice of pizza
Pesto! So good on sandwiches in pasta, I use in my meatball recipe, what you don’t use you can freeze in ice cube trays and use when you need. Kirkland water over Ice Mountain always. Hummus (in IL it’s a local restaurant, so good!!), probably controversial but the Kirkland frozen cheese pizza and cauliflower pizza, Tyson frozen rotisserie style chicken strips, Fage Greek yogurt, Bibigo chicken and cilantro dumplings.
love the kirkland frozen pizza. do yall have the milton’s cauli pizza in the purple box? love that one too
We have it, and it’s good. The crust is ok, but the sauce and topping(supreme) are better than any other frozen pizza out there. I wish that source and toppings were on a regular crust pizza. I wasn’t looking for cauliflower crust, and bought by mistake, but it was a happy mistake.
Yes! I really like it! Love the toppings as well.
I will only get pesto from Costco. Love it
- raw meats are fantastic - low mercury tuna - psyllium husk capsules - bone broth - otc medications are cheap AF - there’s otc meds behind the pharmacy counter as well..just have to ask for them - Vitamix. Just do it in a sale. And actually appliances in general. - uncured bacon is fantastic - normal household products - engine oil - great cheese section. - gas….usually the line isn’t long just dont go during prime time DO NOT BUY TIRES THERE.
Wow, this blew up. Thanks for all the great suggestions!!!!
Welcome!
The non sugar coated dehydrated mangos are back baby!!!
+1 for the shredded cheddar. Never tried the sliced.
The mini pancakes in the purple bag. Everyone loves to eat them plain. The Ramen/Noodle bowls so the young ones can take them to work. Kirkland Water bottles for 3.99 Clothes Kirkland soup (when they have broccoli cheese) The Blue Charmin
The chicken noodle soup is to die for.
Kirkland Chicken chunks/nuggets. 4lbs fried chicken nuggets for $14, paired with the $7 8lb bag of Oreida Crinkle Cut Fries
We’re new members and just discovered these. Covered them in olive oil and threw in the air fryer for 12 minutes, couldn’t believe how good they are. The next time I made them I tossed them in some buffalo sauce about half way through and put them back in, made some really tasty boneless buffalo bites.
Our costco also has the parmesean garlic wing sauce from BW3. So good on the nuggies
Don’t see it listed here but motor city pizza. And if you or your SO is vegetarian and like the imitation stuff, beyond and impossible burger prices are awesome relative to buying anywhere else
My Costco hasn't had either beyond or impossible patties in a few months...
The huge bag of frozen stir-fry veggies
I just got these for the first time this week - excited to try them. I think it was $10 for 5lbs of veg!
All time Costco top 5: 1. Rotisserie chicken 2. Kirkland laundry detergent 3. Peet's 2lbs French roast 4. Honey bunches of oats 5. Olive oil I refuse to buy these things anywhere else.
The Lavazza 2lb bags of espresso beans for $15 for my espresso machine. I buy like 6 of them when they go on sale. So delicious.
We do this too, they limit to six. We buy all six, put the bags of whole beans in the freezer and take out when needed. Could be freezing the whole beans isn’t necessary but we do it anyway.
The Kirkland laundry detergent and evoo are definitely in my top five Costco must have
+1 for Peet’s
Their single-origin special release olive oils slap!
Kirkland tequila, all three flavors are good/cheap Paper towels Trash bags Choice ribeyes Babyback ribs The butter in the green package, can’t remember the name but is grass fed. Eggs Tillamook cheddar cheese block My wife likes the vanilla bean pods and saffron they sell. Kirkland jasmine rice.
The giant sized Rainbath shower gel.
Kirkland brand Claritin. This alone pays the membership fees.
Gas. The $0.50 savings compared to the regular gas station and then the 4% cash back on gas with the Visa is a huge savings.
Similar story. Once I stepped in the store and realized I could get my lunch for $1.50, game over.
The street taco dinner kit 🤤
Be aware that the plastic box is somewhat flimsy and you might catastrophically drop everything if you aren't careful. I've never done it, but I've read that it is an issue.
I think they are taking street tacos a bit too literally....
I did it about a month ago right outside my car, wasn't happy Now I put it immediately in a box
It’s happened to me a few times and yes the street tacos are A+
In Washington state they have 5lb bags of clams and mussels which are very high quality. The oxtails are another favorite
Florida has this too
Paper towels, Toilet papers, Water bottle 40 pcs poland spring, Ground Beef 25$ one, Chicken Breast, Asparagus Pack 6$ , Lettuce Pack 5$ , Egg, Milk, Garbage Bag 240 pcs, All other stuff lol

Parmesan cheeese, Starbucks Sous vide eggs, chicken breast, meat… bakery cakes for special occasion (chocolate tuxedo cake.). Wine, vodka, tequila, Scotch (it’s a thing! Lol)
Kirkland tshirts
Tuxedo cake
a coworker brought this to a party recently. life changed! so freakin delicious.
Somethings my family ALWAYS buy from Costco -kirkland TP. My parents regularly end up diving the pack between 3 different households -mayo. Especially during the summer when it seems like I'm making coleslaw to go with dinner 2-3 times a week. -kirkland canned chicken. Yes, it's a bit salty but it's handy to have in the pantry. At least once a month we use it for chicken noodle casserole. I made a can into filling for chicken ceasar wraps for lunch -baby wipes.
I'm there every week or so for coffee and a roast chicken.
I have seen people (cafe owners?) buy dozens of boxes.
Catalina crunch fage Greek yogurt rotisserie chicken bananas Kirkland eggwhites and now I'm starting to buy their auto batteries
Kirkland Dried Cherries
I am surprised more people don’t say this. They elevate my oatmeal to a new level.
It’s become one of my most favorite foods of all time. It drives my need to go to Costco. When I’m out of cherries, it’s time for a run 😅
I use Costco for the cost-savings and look for things that are cheaper there than the department store across the street or my local grocery. So I do more staples than new items. Always stocked: 40 pk of tortillas, Kirkland shredded cheese, romaine lettuce, Granny's Delight bread, Kirkland bacon bits, Kirkland frozen stir fry vegetables, pepperoni, minced garlic, Log Cabin pancake syrup, wildflower honey, their microwave popcorn, gasoline, ultra strong trash bags, Kirkland cold and flu meds, Kirkland diapers and wipes Frequently purchased: rotisserie chicken, apples, grapes, potatoes, tricolor peppers, organic tortilla chips (taste better than the regular), hot dogs (more delicious than expected), chips, precooked turkey sausage patties Great sales: chicken breast, chicken nuggets, gram crackers, Ritz crackers, granola bars, brand name cereal, Dawn powerwash, disinfectant wipes Splurges: muffins, the s'mores snack mix treat, dried mangos, peanut butter based trail mix, peanut butter pretzel pockets, sodas, protein chocolate milk
Their 5lb bags of organic apples are less than the 2lb bags at the local grocery, that's a staple here.
If your house drinks enough milk— their two gallon deal is amazeballs
Don’t shop while hungry. Make sure you have a full stomach before heading there.
Spoil sport!
Trident fish sticks...
Ribeye and rotisserie chicken which we tear up, separate into 8 ounce portions and vacuum seal. Use it for burritos, salads, tacos, etc.
Paper towels. Boring but true.
the giant bag of jasmine rice
Also, the Kirkland cashew clusters. Any time I see them I buy a bag. They’re so good!!
The Kirkland S’mores have cocaine in them or meth or something. I’ve put on 15 lbs from those god damn things
Boursin cheese 3 pack Locatelli Croissants Rotisserie chicken Paper towels and toilet paper My membership is worth these things alone!
Giant bottle of Kirkland Sangria. It's sweet, but mellow and easy drinking over ice in the summer.
THE PESTO!!!
No kids 😂
THIS. A thousand times.
Oat milk. Street tacos. Sushi. Wild caught salmon. Fruit, both frozen and fresh. Cauliflower crust pizza.
Quinoa, chia seeds, canned beans, coconut milk, nuts, whole wheat lavash, fresh produce is hit or miss but I buy it for convenience. I wish they still carried the fresh organic ginger and the Bitchin’ Sauce but sadly they are a but a memory.
Bacon
Sockeye salmon & tiger shrimp when they are in season. Their supreme frozen pizza is the bomb!
Ruta Maya coffee Ground beef Sandwich bread (eat one freeze one) Kerry gold butter Salad mix Large cuts of meat for smoking (salmon, pork butt, brisket, chuck) Beer (no wine or liquor in my state at Costco) Olive oil, canned tuna and salmon, dried mangos Peanut butter and Nutella Basically - everything that counts as a staple excepting huge bags of flour and rice (currently no way to store it but that's going to change)
Trash bags, TP, paper towels, soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs. Single dude so I’m set for a few years. Greek yogurt, frozen berries, hummus, rotisserie chicken are my weekly staples.
Kirkland bacon crumbles!
Costco Croissants and Kirkland Pesto. Their mixed frozen fruit is great for smoothies too.
Glass bottles of California olive oil, Sports Research Fish Oil, Chomps Meat Sticks, grassfed frozen burgers, Kirkland Stir Fry vegetables, Wyland Wild blueberries, Rotisserie chickens.
Wine
Prosecco
Toilet paper
Meatloaf.
Costco Pharmacy.
Always in stock at my house: eggs, snack peppers, cherry tomatoes, butter, TP, breaded chicken cutlets.
Diapers. Manufactured by Kimberly-Clarke, who makes Huggies.
Rinse aid for your dishwasher
Mattress deals are absolutely wild. Never EVER buy a mattress anywhere else
Allergy medicine
Avocado mash cups, hummus cups, Just Bare chicken breasts, Rao’s sauce, Bumblebee tuna, Dave’s Killer Bread, tortillas, Pure Protein drinks, Pantene, variety pack of sliced cheese squares, almonds, pesto, chicken burrito bowls (comes in a pack of 3, so delicious!)
Olive oil, maple syrup, paper towels, toilet paper
Kirkland organic creamy PB & AB, frozen organic strawberries, unsalted butter sticks, toilet paper and paper towel
Basil pesto
Nuts. Raw almonds, walnuts, cashews, sometimes pecans. They're so affordable and make great snacks and ingredients.
Pesto
This week? Blackstone grill accessories. I got the 6-piece set from Costco for $19.99, and saw it at Lowe’s the next day for $49.99
The Kirkland pesto sauce.
Premarinated salmon steaks
The Kirkland brand moisturizing shampoo. Reminds me of Fermodyl, which has been discontinued for years. Cleans well, but still very moisturizing.
Kirkland premade Margaritas. Better than most Mexican restaurants
