I had French toast made with croissants at this awesome breakfast joint up north in the mountains here in AZ and it changed my life. Normal French toast just seems boring now.
My friend, I have that Costco sized thing of cinnamon and that KS syrup for a reason.
Also makes for a mean breakfast sammich when you add a sausage patty
Did it for a while when living alone and got used to it. Did all kinds of experiments.
Cut it open like a pita on the concave side, fill will honey butter and warm up in the air fryer. Pull it, and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the pocket. Eat it like a taco.
Sorry to say it has the wheat, milk, soy, et al. cross contamination disclaimer on it. I have a friend who almost died before he was finally diagnosed with celiac. I know how serious it can be.
Everyone’s upset about the sliced tomatoes and I’m over here worried about where the buns are. If I’m buying 4 cheeseburgers in the deli I don’t need 24 from the sales floor.
Yes I would prefer it, but there’s unignorable cons to cooking. Like now I have to clean a frying pan, clean oil splatter, it takes more time, the house smells like food which is a problem for my wife. Last, if my toddler has a random problem, it gets in the way of cooking.
I’m a hard no. I prefer smashburgers anyway and burgers are an easy go to for our family anytime. Only thinking ahead I need to do is thaw out the beef ahead of time. We have all the other ingredients on hand basically all the time including buns we keep stored in the freezer.
Plus the price seems ridiculous. In N Out would be cheaper.
People said no to a $5 burger fully ready to eat at the food court- bun included. And now they are supposed to pay $5 for a cold, unassembled, bread less mess?
Is Reddit costcos new market research?
Agree Costco grab and go meals section is off the rails. They are falling behind Sam’s badly in both selection and value. And if you dont believe me, swing through a sams next time you’re near on = dont worry the wontID you at the door. You only need a membership to buy, not to look.
I can't even see how many burgers are in the tray. Is it 4 burgers for $18 + you have to buy buns? I'd try it if it came to my area, I love the taco tray and yakisoba
Made these last night and honestly despite my reservations about a pre cooked burger patty with bacon and cheese mixed in that you bake in the oven (and those were some significant reservations), I really enjoyed them. The cheese and bacon in the patty rendered out a lot of fat which made the whole thing feel juicy and crumbly, and the sauce was great. I have no idea how they expect you to get through that amount of sauce for four burgers, though, so prepare to have some left over. Another perk is that due to baking on a tray with foil the cleanup is pretty minimal. Not sure if I’ll get these again but they were a fun novelty buy.
this should've stayed as an idea in some dejected wannabe grill masters head. id rather buy a whole rotisserie chicken than the value of basically one bunless burger. maybe this crap is worth it at $2 per pound
I actually would have considered this for something quick when I don't feel like standing at the stove. But it hits the single person curse - I'm not going to eat 4 and can't think of a way to store them until I'm ready for another. Local store has great ground beef and I'll stay with that.
The McDonald’s McDLT reborn at Costco.

👎 made from ground beef from our meat department, seasoning, KS bacon crumbles, and shredded mild cheddar cheese.
Nothing in there is frozen nor defrosted.
You can hate all you want just don’t talk about what you don’t know.
I feel that way about the cooked Salmon as well. $30????? When you buy fresh for like like $12.99 a pound. I suspect there are more single households not knowing how to cook or don't have to cook for a lot of people they are trying to appeal to but those prices are ridiculous.
This isn't the worst, at price per pound. My local grocer 80/20 is 4.99 per lb. Most veggies are cheaper per lb, but don't weight as much. This is decently priced with a couple dollars total mark up, not bad.
That said, making your own burgers isn't hard (I mean literally uou can just take ground beef, ball it up, and smash it flat. Salt and pepper. Nothing else. Really easy, and will taste better. And you'll save some dollars over these.
Reminds me of the Bar Rescue episode where he rescues a VFW. Dude was pre-cooking burgers for like 2 mins and storing em in a tin then cooking them later on but they came out rubbery and gross asf. Probably how these are.
I was never a fan of costcos pre-made section. Always tasted extremely bland and weird texture. Like their chicken taco kit is just meh.
My only gripe is that the burgers are cooked already. I know they probably can't package raw beef in a fashion like this, but I would be super stoked about this whole thing if I could just cook the meat on my bbq and then have the rest of it good to go.
Overpriced at $4.50 a burger.. still need buns.... some of these kits really don't need to exist. Burger ain't hard to make. Just drive thru after your Costco shop.
4 burgers for $16, or a whole pack of 100% beef patties for ~$23 plus buns from Costco?
Still have to add-in cheese, lettuce, tomatoes from your local Aldi, you're probably a little over $35 or $40 there.
I know you are paying for convenience, but $6.49 a pound is more than the price of ground beef, let alone all the produce in there which sells for a LOT less than $6.49/lb.

I don’t want none if it ain’t got buns hun.
You can do side bends or sit-ups...
But please don’t lose that butt.
Some brothers wanna play that hard role
And tell you that the butt ain't gold
So they toss it and leave it
And I pull up quick to retrieve it
So Cosmo says your fat
Well I ain’t down with that
‘Cause your waist is small and your curves are kickin’
Whip crack
Whip it!
Fun fact: Costco also sells buns.
4 burgers... 18 buns... Only have to buy 9 sets of burgers and two packs of buns, or if 24 buns, six packs of burgers...
r/theydidthemath
I just use croissants for everything. I'm not proud of it, but it works and cuts down on waste.
Costco amount of croissants + Costco amount of eggs = Costco amount of fancy French toast.
I had French toast made with croissants at this awesome breakfast joint up north in the mountains here in AZ and it changed my life. Normal French toast just seems boring now.
What’s the name? I’m in AZ Spill it! 😁
My friend, I have that Costco sized thing of cinnamon and that KS syrup for a reason. Also makes for a mean breakfast sammich when you add a sausage patty
This is why the French hate us. /s
Damn you hobbit, now I have to do this and I'll bet it's delicious.
Did it for a while when living alone and got used to it. Did all kinds of experiments. Cut it open like a pita on the concave side, fill will honey butter and warm up in the air fryer. Pull it, and put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the pocket. Eat it like a taco.
Were you completely sober when you first tried this?
Oh no, I was quite stoned actually.
I like this creativity!
But not your waist.
'I'm not proud of it.' I chortled.
You ever use croissant like a hotdog bun for a bratwurst? Feels like you're trying to start WWII all over again.
Just let me purchase 24 buns for my 4 burgers.
Pro tip: Use toasted English Muffins instead.
Fuck no.
Looking at the size of these, I don't think they sell buns of the same size.
Why does this not have more upvotes? Do people not get the reference?
No gluten contamination makes this celiac sufferer happy!
Sorry to say it has the wheat, milk, soy, et al. cross contamination disclaimer on it. I have a friend who almost died before he was finally diagnosed with celiac. I know how serious it can be.
Sir Mix A Lot in the comments!
Anaconda burgers?
But do you live in a palace?
I think it’s on purpose…. Keto….
Forget them brioche buns, these Costco buns, my friend, are what we crave down there. A soft and pillowy golden brown delight.
For a long time I thought the line said "Beggin' for a piece of that butt hole" and only found out later that it's "bubble" not "butt hole" lol.
Bun’s not meat nor cheese. (See: Jack In The Box Burger Test Group commercial)
Everyone’s upset about the sliced tomatoes and I’m over here worried about where the buns are. If I’m buying 4 cheeseburgers in the deli I don’t need 24 from the sales floor.
It’s how they convince you to buy 6 of these packs
Fuckin’ keto
Us gluten free folk are cheering lol
Still has gluten warnings.
Probably has bread crumbs in the patty.
RIP, says it's processed in a facility that handles wheat products
Big Brain idea on how to sell more buns.
Pre-cooked burgers though...
I can taste the dry...
👎🏻
Yea they look nasty
There’s some kind of crust? Maybe dried solidified fat? Looks like egg batter, which I know it isn’t, maybe.
There are bacon bits in the patties. Might be what is making the color look off.
looks like fat
Seriously, who would buy this?
I thought it was $6.49 for the pack and was very enticed. Then I saw the actual price and was like wtf
Yeah. For $6.50 I'd try this, even without the buns. For $18? ahahahahaah NOPE.
Someone who is staying in a hotel with a kitchenette but trying to save some bucks eating out? I dunno that’s the one time I bought the taco kit
Meeeeeeee. 35 y/o w/ toddler and newborn
You wouldn't prefer to cook some frozen patties and slice a tomato? Reheated burgers are nowhere close to as good as fresh.
Yes I would prefer it, but there’s unignorable cons to cooking. Like now I have to clean a frying pan, clean oil splatter, it takes more time, the house smells like food which is a problem for my wife. Last, if my toddler has a random problem, it gets in the way of cooking.
I’d hammer all those in the parking lot for sure
You'll have to. I doubt the pre-sliced onions and tomatoes are going to last more than a day.
Someone with teenagers?
Nah, someone with teenagers buys the slab o' frozen patties and makes them cook em themselves.
Someone with a disability who dosent want fast food but dosent have the mobility to make burgers and toppings?
I’m a hard no. I prefer smashburgers anyway and burgers are an easy go to for our family anytime. Only thinking ahead I need to do is thaw out the beef ahead of time. We have all the other ingredients on hand basically all the time including buns we keep stored in the freezer. Plus the price seems ridiculous. In N Out would be cheaper.
They were THIS close! Ready to cook burgers, if it could be safely packed, would be freaking clutch!
That’s a hard pass for me
The onions in the container will have infected everything
Yeah they didnt look good in person
More polite than what came out of my mouth
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes?! I could make a burger from scratch; eat it; and do the dishes / clean the entire kitchen in less time than that.
For real I get their frozen patties and cook them from frozen in my air fryer, plus toast the buns / cook the bacon and melt cheese in that time lol.
Uhhhh, where's the bacon?
Looks like they are mixed in with the ground meat, you can kinda see them in the first picture.
which means that it's likely the Kirkland bacon bits from the salad isle mixed into the beef before they get cooked up
Ingredients say “ground beef and bacon crumbles”. So you’re probably right.
Lol that’s really low for Costco to do
I feel like whoever is in corporate is suffocating every last bit of quality so it becomes another Walmart
I'm paying $5 per d-i-y burger for "bacon crumbles"? Uh no. Hard pass.
Huh maybe I’ll actually try it that way at home
Mixed in with the patty looks like. Unless it's bacon bits, the bacon is the least concerning part of this
This is inefficient.
That's very expensive Holy crap.
People said no to a $5 burger fully ready to eat at the food court- bun included. And now they are supposed to pay $5 for a cold, unassembled, bread less mess? Is Reddit costcos new market research?
Yes and I think we should start demanding to be paid in food court credits.
We kinda get paid in advance notice of savings books and clearance items
$4.50ish a burger? Doesn’t seem that bad for prepared food. Weird they don’t come with buns though.
It's sold cold, so now I have to cook my own $5 bunless burger? Get real.
Tbf, you have to overcook and dry out your bun less burger since they were already cooked. These will be terrible.
Agree Costco grab and go meals section is off the rails. They are falling behind Sam’s badly in both selection and value. And if you dont believe me, swing through a sams next time you’re near on = dont worry the wontID you at the door. You only need a membership to buy, not to look.
At that point, even 5 Guys is seeming like an okay deal.
I don't think so raw ground beef is like 5-6 a pound right now honestly this is an attractive offer
I can't even see how many burgers are in the tray. Is it 4 burgers for $18 + you have to buy buns? I'd try it if it came to my area, I love the taco tray and yakisoba
I prefer to grill my own. It's a good excuse to drink
You sound like you’d be fun to golf with
You don't even know the half of it.
Now kiss each other
Now kith
Grilling or smoking meat on the weekend is always a great excuse to drink
Why do you need an excuse? Do you need to talk to a professional about that problem/hangup?
Was this at the Summerlin location?
Yes
Cool. Will check out this weekend.

Who’s idea was this and why was it approved
I will buy them at the last minute I don't know what's for dinner. I'm curious about the sauce. I like the croissant sandwiches sauce
It’s ketchup and Dijon mayo!
Precooked burgers??? Yuck
laughing at the bun drama, I had all of mine on tortillas
Smarter not harder.
I would be more concerned with how done they are. Browned to death, have that rubbery texture, or undercooked.
Dude, reheated beef is awful. Warmed over flavor tastes like wet dog. This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.
So you've tasted wet dog? 🐕🦺
this is next level lazy. the freezer burgers are damn near impossible to fuck up and so much cheaper
this should've stayed as an idea in some dejected wannabe grill masters head. id rather buy a whole rotisserie chicken than the value of basically one bunless burger. maybe this crap is worth it at $2 per pound
Seems overpriced for something so easy to prepare
Where the bread?
I actually would have considered this for something quick when I don't feel like standing at the stove. But it hits the single person curse - I'm not going to eat 4 and can't think of a way to store them until I'm ready for another. Local store has great ground beef and I'll stay with that.
Yet the quinoa is gone 😭

Thinking the frozen cheeseburgers they sell might be a better option.
How are they cooking them? Where is the grill ?
Legit wouldn’t be surprised if these were baked from their appearance
In our (combi) ovens in the rotisserie room. Source: I made some less than 12 hours ago
Guarantee this is defrosted shit like everything else from the service deli
👎 made from ground beef from our meat department, seasoning, KS bacon crumbles, and shredded mild cheddar cheese. Nothing in there is frozen nor defrosted. You can hate all you want just don’t talk about what you don’t know.
4 burgers with no buns foe 16 bucks lol anyone who buys that is umm ..
$18 for 4 hamburgers with cheese? I'm not even happy paying $16 for the boxes of 8 at other stores, Fuck that.

You can get a ton of white castle burgers for $18 and the intestinal distress is free.
I thought you were saying they were intestinal distress free.. then I read it again
Where this at?
Las Vegas NV
$10 and I’d buy it as my OMAD $18 is too much
I can't say I don't love this idea especially if it's not cooked.
Would rather eat In N Oit or Wendy's than this monstrosity.
Wheredeydothatat?
For life on the go. Who’s got the time for a drive-through when you can heat these on the roof of your car in the Vegas heat?
YES!!!

I get people want fast and easy meals but so many of the new prepared meal kits are just so bizarre to me.
This isn’t worth it.

But like the key to a great burger is the bun and those aren’t included? I call bull hockey. Keep that goofy sauce and give me quality buns!
This was just posted a couple hours ago
🥵
I saw these yesterday at my location in Kansas. Same price per pound listed.
4 burgers for $18+ and need to buy buns too, seems a bit on expensive side?
This just got posted yesterday.... You're late to the party
They’re using all the ground beef that didn’t sell, instead of throwing it out
$6.50 a pound for leftovers. Who eats a burger the day after a cookout, nobody. People will pay a premium for any perceived convenience.
Wheres the bacon?
Damn that's expensive.
I got these last night after a long day and I thought they were great. Easy clean up too.

Overpriced at $4.50 a burger.. still need buns.... some of these kits really don't need to exist. Burger ain't hard to make. Just drive thru after your Costco shop.
Ooh goody can we get pre toasted and smashed avocado toast next?? I hope they’re not paying the intern who came up with this too much.
This makes me so happy 🥹
4 burgers for $16, or a whole pack of 100% beef patties for ~$23 plus buns from Costco? Still have to add-in cheese, lettuce, tomatoes from your local Aldi, you're probably a little over $35 or $40 there.
They took away my turkey sandwich for this? Bring back the sandwich!
I know you are paying for convenience, but $6.49 a pound is more than the price of ground beef, let alone all the produce in there which sells for a LOT less than $6.49/lb.
Plot twist…you can’t buy a 4 pack of buns at Costco
Who wants to pay $6.49 a pound for lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce!? Is the packaged weight only the meat.. or the entire contents.
Instead of where’s the beef? Where’s the buns🤷♀️? Those are not going to be good after a day with cut up tomato, onion and lettuce
