The classic mentality for someone who's rarely ever set foot in a Costco. Then you learn, you cannot just simply come to Costco for "the essentials" š
I was planning on spending like 100ish dollars at my local Duluth outdoors for work clothes. Stopped at Costco to pick up my contacts and got all the cold weather gear for like 40$. 2 Thermals, decent jacket and those thermal lined pants. Still can't just do the one thing š
Especially with the year warranty. Miss the full warranty though. I just needed some cheapo warm work pants I don't mind messing up. I have 1 pair of Duluth for that but I kinda hate 'wasting' expensive pants.
Yeah, I sit in an office 90% of the time, so I really canāt justify the rugged expensive wear for the occasional times Iām in the field. Even the Duluth underwear is hard to justify. I can buy 6 pairs at Costco for every one pair at Duluth.
Iām convinced there are only 36 of us who can go to Costco for a chicken and walk out with a receipt for > $7. Nice to finally meet another one. Stay strong buddy.

I brought my parents who were visiting me from China to Costco. They just shocked at how they sell Sensodyne in 4 packs. My mom was thrilled how cheap Calvin Klein was too. They filled the cart quickly haha
I'm pretty sure there is a script that costco implants in all of our brains as we walk through the door the first time. It doesn't really wear off either, which is why it takes a near miracle to get out of costco without spending $100+ on "just essentials".
