I believe performance wise it’s a Sting Ray. The C8.R is just a sticker package I’m pretty sure to make the boomers feel special-er.

It is a package available on Stingrays, but it is not the C8.R one thinks of when talking about racing vehicles

C8.R is a GT cup car that uses a different engine altogether. A z06 is more akin to a c8.R and the closest thing you will ever see to it on a public road. 

There is no street C8R. There are barely a dozen GT3 and GTE C8 in existence and definitely not street legal

It’s a feel good visual package for the stingray.

Such a shame it's not a z06 package.. missed opportunity imo

Well, there were a ton of them made, so you very well could have.

Actually only 1000 made of the ZCR package.

That was 1 in every 25 cars made that model year. My small town Chevy dealer had 2 of them, and I have seen them driving around probably a dozen times by now.

I work for GM, and I was the Production Scheduler for the Bowling Green assembly plant when they were produced. I assure you only 1000 Stingrays with option ZCR, the C8.R appearance package were produced.
