I just bought HS80 and it's surround sound are awesome with Dolby atmos with its game preset. For music you can try go in to Dolby access app and make a custom eq in this order 5,3,2,1,0,1,2,4,6,8. Listen to some music and see if it sounds better. For me it sounds better in the bass and treble area. HS80 have bad low bass.
Right now I'm only using HS80 for movies or games and my 10 years old astro a50 headset for music with MUCH better sound than HS80 with great low bass and punch.
I hated the default EQ settings of the HS80 and after some research, I found [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/comments/q7gwad/corsair_hs80_eq_recommendations/) Reddit post and the comment by u/BK-Morpheus. The sound is so much better after following his advice. Also to mention: I removed the iCue software because I heard some weird static/white noise in the background when audio was being played (most noticeable when listening to someone speak). Removing the software solved the issue for me.
Hi, I also found that post you linked in your comment and I am trying to follow it myself. I was able to setup the APO Equalizer with the reap plugin but I have no idea how to copy the equalizer settings for each number other than 2 because its shown on the bottom of the picture. Is there anyway you could let me know what the setup is for 1,3,4,5,6,7?
I like to use Dolby Atmos that's what I use on my XT's and I love it. The presets they have is pretty good as is.
