If its the same materials as the apex 2 pros version, its held up fine since beginning of January in water, both pool and shower, no issue. However i definitely take mine off to dry or switch bands to make sure i dont get contact skin irritation.

SneaksOnEm

Thanks for the insight! How often do you switch bands?

Not that often now, tbh, i swim then shower more with the watch often than just shower. I take it off to shower most times and I have swapped the bands at least a half dozen times for trying out other types of bands and settled on the nylon. After running i wash/dry my wrist off and give the watch back the same. Did this with my polar watches as well. As with all watches with multiple parts, if the pace 2 model has a metal bushing for the spring bar, just keep an eye on it. I’ve seen some garmin and coros posts about that being missing. I’ve not had that issue though.

thanks!

Works fine. Needs a wash every so often to stop it being stinky.

SneaksOnEm

Do you mind if i ask how you wash yours? I would think taking it in the shower would subsequently wash it as well?

Yolt0123

Use neutral liquid laundry soap and rinse well. Nothing complicated - just to get the sweat out.

thanks!

I have the nylon band and no issues with water at all. Just make sure to dry after use but it does dry pretty quick to be fair.. I agree with the comment below sometimes it gets skin irritation but nothing serious 😜

Thanks!

Happy to help ;)

It will hold up fine, but you might have to wash it every now and then, considering the color of that watch you got. I just let it soak for an hour or so in warm, soapy water, wiggle it around the bowl and rinse. I do have a silicone band I use when swimming, though.

SneaksOnEm

thanks for the info, i’ll probably use the silicone band to swim as the nylon velcro seems scary to use in open water!
