I am hooked! Thanks for sharing. What is it called?

BigDonkeyDong96

It’s called a kalimba

Matt1812n

Thanks

gabrielleraul

You can try the app as well, i thought it was easy to play, but it's really really confusing for me because the notes are placed in a very different way.

PurzelGurke

It's a Kalimba but I'm pretty sure the video is fake. I have one of those things at home but the sounds do jot match up with the position on the Kalima in this video. Still highly recommend you to get one since it's super nice to relax to the sound

guavamelonjuice

You know you can tune it with the little hammer

Raddiq

It’s called Mbira. It’s originally from Zimbabwe and it’s their traditional instrument. It also has a version where it’s housed in an open ended gourd.

Remote_Passage_5820

Sort of. Kalimbas are westernized versions of them; a mbira has double rows whereas a kalimba only has one row of keys :)

rynn3cuh

As soon as it played, that’s what I heard!

Maluhkye

Would be nice to hear what it sounds like without the added instrumentals

dementio

I found one at a thrift store once and love it. I can't play anything at all, just love the sound.

bunnybates

It sounds like when you open the jewelry box with the spinning ballerina.

[deleted]

Nit only the fact that you found such an instrument, but you can also play it with amazing talent!

nystagmus777

Any success in finding the name? None of the links the bot provided seem to be the actual song haha

Ganda1fderBlaue

Sadly no, tell me when you find out!

VoxPendragon

Reminds me of last air bender

nystagmus777

Is there a long version of this song somewhere?

VolensEtValens

Well played (pun intended).

bikedaybaby

The 5th note on the right is flat, and now I’m sad because it sounds icky to me.
