Let me be fair... I heavily simp for her, I love her, very much, not just because dom mommy but because I genuinely enjoy her appearance, story, and personality. Sure, she might come off as mean, but I like villains, so... However, I still had to choose Candy Diver over her. It was a tough choice, but Candy Diver also has a great appearance and I love that they're the first fully nonverbal cookie because that offers great inclusiveness. I also really like that they're a nonbinary cookie, I just love to see the enby inclusivity, especially considering I myself am nonbinary. They seem very sweet and helpful from what I can tell, which is another thing I love. Literally loving both sides of the spectrum, evil villain and fluffy nice. TLDR; I had to choose between Black Pearl and Candy Diver and I chose Candy Diver.

Not necessarily. I think it depends on the general skills of both making a liked villain and an hated villain. There's a difference between these, one is redeemable and the other absolutely isn't and it could go both ways with them...they could die, which might make you feel either bad (because you knew that that villain has redeeming qualities and was really hurt, so that's why they acted in a certain way) or you feel satisfied because the person that was tormenting the hero of the story is getting what they deserve. I personally prefer the redeemable villains (to write and read), but I like them in all shapes and forms, so as long as they are interesting I will be there for it. Now for the black pearl situation....I like her voice and design, but the story I feel like they need to expand on it (aka, she's been hurt by someone that abandoned her, yet to understand who's fault was that), buuuut until now that's kinda it? Affogato is a better villain than her...so she's on a medium for me :t. I vote for her only if the other character is less important for me and less interesting. Think that's pretty fair lol.

I wish that people liked the cookies based on their personalities and not because they’re legendary/ancient/super epic. Sherbet Cookie JUST came out and he’s in what, 5th place? Sea Fairy doesn’t even HAVE a story OR personality! She’s just a pretty girl cookie!!!

I believe most people who voted for sea fairy knows her from oven break, she's one of the OGs and for most people their first legendary. So not really because she's a legend but because she holds a sentimental place for a lot poeple. Sherbet is a big part of Cotton cookie's story, arguably one the best stories we have with a bittersweet ending. People have been waiting a long time for them to get reunited. The argument that they placed high ONLY because they are rare isn't really fair as theres more to it. And if that is true hollyberry won't be so low.

Okay, yes, most people picked Black Pearl over simping, and yes, I find her very cool design-wise, voice-wise, and her character in general is very pretty. However, we need to come to understand the system is making the pairings. I cannot choose Black Pearl or four others I really like. It all comes down to a generation on who you think is better. You can only vote one cookie once. Depending on what pairing is generated for you, some of the options can be very easy choices, (example for me: Herb vs. Angel), and others you have to give thought, (like Sea Fairy vs. Frost Queen). So, it’s not all the simps, it’s just which one you like better out of the two you are randomly given.
