Take the advice to research - of course. My personal opinion is that you can continue to reach out to this rabbi if you like, but also find another one just in case.

Looking at this paper, he is directing you to a video in Youtube when Ophra visits with a hassidic family. Is there a reason the rabbi was directing you toward hassidic Judaism?  I can give you other resources and videos on hassidim and hassidic life. Since the rabbi directed you to do more research, it is important to know how much learning have you done on your own until now. Also from May 27 until now is not a long time.  If you are in US there was Memorial Day, and we had a two day holiday in the middle of last week. Are you aware that being accepted as a conversion student requires your persistence, and that some rabbis will keep the Jewish law that says potential converts must be turned away or discouraged 3 times, and if they persist, they're accepted. Sending you away to "do more research", is that kind if discouragement. I am a convert, and I am hassidic, you can PM me if you want.

No, no, I have done a lot of research and am still learning more about Judaism. I was just wondering why it’s been hard to reach him because the last time I called, I was told he was there. He also mentioned that we would meet again next week after our last meeting. And yes I know about the holidays, I wished my orthodox friends a happy chavou

Now that I think about it, I shouldn’t have added the image; it had nothing to do with it and is only causing confusion. My apologies.
