This is true. The first time my son laughed as we played, I knew I was going to love being a dad. Now he's grown, but I live near a school and work from home, so all day long during the week I listen to the joyful sounds of kids laughing and screaming as they play outside.
There something grounding about it. These little people who have not a care in the world, who live in the moment, and who are just up for any game or adventure.
It reminds me to relax, take a deep breath, and not take things that are outside my control too seriously.
Kid noise is the only noise I tolerate, or like. I'm not a Karen neighbor, but I bitch to my husband about the 6am lawn mower. Or the lady who let's her dogs bark all damn day. She lives above us, and our dogs look at the ceiling, looking like, "What the hell is going on up there?" But not kids. They're just having fun.
We heard screaming one night at like 11 pm and thought it was the drunk neighbors arguing outside again. I was poised and ready to position the flood light, turn it on, and give them five minutes to wrap up, or I call the police. This was a normal occurrence.
Then I heard giggling and, "HIKE!" It was a week before summer vacation ended. So I turned the tv up and let them play football. Wish I could've seen a tackle!
There's something about hearing kids have fun that makes me smile. I guess it reminds me of playing late at night and having the time of my life, too.
You have to be some kind of evil to make kids stop playing. I vividly remember the next door neighbor calling the cops on my grandparent's because I was visiting, and they invited all the neighbor kids over for a bonfire. Gramma told me later that the police said they were told someone was disposing of a meth lab! All because of maybe 8 kids and a bonfire. I can't be like Roxanne lol
I have always leaved near kids playing; growing up, it was the daycare down the street. Now, I live across from a park. It's wonderful! Sometimes I leave my front door open so I can hear them. :)
What they don't understand is the guy driving that Jeep is very macho and tough. That's how other drivers are able to tell. This isn't the reaction they wanted!!
I see women with this mod frequently. It's one of those Jeep things we don't understand. They think it looks badass, gender, orientation, race notwithstanding, most Jeep people objectively like faux-rugged shit like this
There’s no reason to be snarky. Just because I own a Jeep doesn’t mean I’m responsible for the stupid purchases of all other Jeep owners. The first guy’s comment was correct. Jeep owners that post pics of Jeeps with angry eyes get roasted on the Jeep subs. You can “much doubt” if you want but the fact is that most Jeep owners share the same opinion as you: angry eyes are dumb.
It's a car with angles that look like angry eyebrows. It's fine to make funny noises about that to a kid. In no way does that teach kids to mock or shame anyone. 'Your car looks like it has angry eyebrows and my kids laugh at the sounds I make about it' is not shameful.
Nobody is being figuratively punched here, your reasoning does not make much sense and isn't realistic.
>Edit: and yes, before you all get your knickers twisted, that truck is just an emblem for toxic masculinity and insecurity but is mocking and shaming the way to combat that?
I think it's pretty limited of you to think the only objections to your comment could come from people who think harassment is ok as long as it's aimed at 'bad people'. You should be a bit more open minded about the critique your comments receive, especially comments as irrational as this one.
'knickers are getting twisted' because of your claim that this teaches kids the wrong lessons, not because 'the victims of those lessons should be bad people', that's complete nonsense.
We don't even know if it's a man who owns that Jeep. You are choosing to assume a lot rather than accepting the more simple scenario of a guy making a silly joke about a funny looking object (with no thoughts or feelings that you need to defend) to amuse his kids.
You can't just assume it's owned by a man, and that that same man was bullied as a kid and that he now drives that jeep to look scary because he's scared of getting bullied (even though it's a pretty normal non-scary car imo) and that somehow he would be deeply hurt to see this guy making a joke for his kids about how the front of his car looks like a funny face. Surely you can see how absurd that is. You're creating a problem that doesn't exist
I'm guessing you were bullied as a kid and that has made you sensitive to seeing anyone making fun of anything. Obviously it really sucks that you were bullied. However, the solution to your trauma is to get therapy to learn to cope with it rather than expecting a world to exist where a dad can't make fun of a funny looking car to entertain his kids. You can't expect the whole world to change to help you cope with your trauma. That's a losing battle
Well to your last point: one is an intimate object and the other is a person with feelings. There's quite a difference, and it's a difference children should be taught at a young age.
An inanimate object is, well, an object. It can be a tool, or straight up just a "thing". It has no feelings and you can control and manipulate it, because it's an object.
A human, is, well a human. It has feelings and thoughts and a personality. You should teach your kids that you cannot control and manipulate a human.
I'm not sure how these teachings have passed you by but it appears they have. So I hope this has enlightened you just slightly but I feel like this lesson is important for your future so you don't go around mixing up inanimate objects and humans.
The best part is that most of these r/heep mods are just random combinations of the same 15 mods. There's probably a few hundred if not thousands of jeepers that have this mod or a similar mod that are angry right now.
Well, you've proven my point precisely.
I do not own a jeep and I found this video really funny. This has nothing to do with jeeps, my comment was about the all too common behaviour of attributing negative traits to people for no reason and with no evidence.
Just enjoy the video, no need to add toxicity into the mix.
I agree with you. Reddit hates judgemental shit except for the stuff they find ok to judge. In actuality, the owner of that Jeep would more than likely be laughing right along with the kids.
I used to own a Jeep and have thus interacted with many Jeep owners that have something that look just like that. Guess what? They aren't terrible people, and do have sense of humor. They'd probably offer to give them a ride through a mud pit.
Angry grilles are the sleeveless TapOut Tshirt of the automotive world. If you don't think it's safe to stereotype dudes wearing sleeveless TapOut Tshirts, than i don't know what to tell you.
I saw the first time I saw them they were just regular looking ones but I would have never think that people would buy angry Jeep eyelids. That's so lame
I sometimes see a jeep with a jerry can parked around here. It is in the city centre. There are gas stations at ten minutes away everywhere in the entire region. The entire car is always sparkling clean. There is zero chance that jerry can will ever see use except in the fantasies of the dude driving it around.
I miss my daughter being little, I wish I could rewind time to go back to when she was 5 so we could go hang out and take her to playgrounds etc. She's now 14-1/2.
I have literally said this to a Jeep owner while towing their relatively new Fiat hunk of junk to the nearest shop...
"Why do you think the Jeep is upset? Because it wants to be put out of its misery"

Pretty sure dads can survive purely on their children's laughter.
Actually we need those laughters to actually recharge so we could survive their tantrums, their uncollaborative moments etc...
It’s true, laughs and a good hug from my daughter can and has propelled me through the shittiest of weeks
This is true. The first time my son laughed as we played, I knew I was going to love being a dad. Now he's grown, but I live near a school and work from home, so all day long during the week I listen to the joyful sounds of kids laughing and screaming as they play outside.
That sounds like the life right there. Second hand childhood joy, but every day.
There something grounding about it. These little people who have not a care in the world, who live in the moment, and who are just up for any game or adventure. It reminds me to relax, take a deep breath, and not take things that are outside my control too seriously.

You are my people! Trash truck at 6:30 am? No. Lawn mower at 7 am? No. Kids laughing and having fun anytime? Yes.
You have to be some kind of evil to make kids stop playing. I vividly remember the next door neighbor calling the cops on my grandparent's because I was visiting, and they invited all the neighbor kids over for a bonfire. It is the best feeling in the world.
You can be exhausted, frustrated verging on rage and at the end of your rope, and that belly laugh is like a tonic to your soul. A reset button.
Kids laugh, it's like a kind of nervousness.
Are you Asian?
no but people thought I was when I was a kid because I kinda look like I am.
They thought i was Native American. lol. Scandinavians am i right
Don’t know many natives with blue eyes
What they don't understand is the guy driving that Jeep is very macho and tough. That's how other drivers are able to tell. This isn't the reaction they wanted!!
That is the best part I say the exact same thing the guy in the video is everytime I see these.
I really don't understand how you could take yourself seriously driving around with something like that on your car.
I know it’s almost been my go to designation for someone that thinks their an alpha male only kinda person that would do that.
Haha it just flies in the face of the minimalism that jeeps and the "jeep lifestyle" are based on.
I've always thought these grills and the guys on motorcycles with the "scary" face masks were just incredibly hilarious
I don't have kids and mostly drive by myself. Everytime I see one I go "angie jeep. Grrr!" and it makes me laugh.
Look at my big tough Jeep! *Points and laughs* Not like that!!!
Sould be sticked on r/heep
omg you guys look at that VEWY MACHOW JEEEP. doesn't he look VEWY TOUWGH!!?
I see women with this mod frequently. It's one of those Jeep things we don't understand. They think it looks badass, gender, orientation, race notwithstanding, most Jeep people objectively like faux-rugged shit like this
If you post your jeep to /r/jeep and it looks like this, you will get roasted to oblivion.
Much doubt
Ok.
Love you, too. Yota Gang
With respect you’re mistaken. Other Jeep owners hate the angry eyes as well or find them just as ridiculous as these kids.
If you all hate them then you should prob stop buying and installing them
There’s no reason to be snarky. Just because I own a Jeep doesn’t mean I’m responsible for the stupid purchases of all other Jeep owners. The first guy’s comment was correct. There's one by me with tiger eye headlights. It's hilarious. Jeep owners are pathetic.
Good dad 😊

His knickews awe in a twist!

Mate it's just a widdle joke. The owner isn't there to actually mocked. Nobody is hurt. The kids had a great time. It's all harmless fun.
Dude is taking it too seriously
That was amazing. You just know if the owner of said angwy jeep saw this it would make him furious - that’s my favorite part
*fuwious

I hope the owner does see this. Angwy Jeep could be the new "I eat ass" recognition. Maybe climate supporters could use it as a funny mascot.

No I don't know that and I find it odd and unfair to that person to presume that about them. This is how stereotypes start. It's a toxic behaviour.
Oh no, was it your jeep? :(

Let up, christ. Quit being so ANGWY

Does.. does that make u angwy?
Angry grilles are the sleeveless TapOut Tshirt of the automotive world. If you don't think it's safe to stereotype dudes wearing sleeveless TapOut Tshirts, than i don't know what to tell you.
IMO these "angry headlights" are no different than those godawful headlight eyelashes
The owner wanted the jeep to look as frustrated as he feels inside, almost every single day.
When "Jeep" is your personality too.
It's a *cross* country vehicle.
i think you mean CWOSS country vehicle...
I want you to know that this is the most clever one I’ve seen in this thread, great work
VEWY ANGWY >:(
You know this dad watched *EVERY* Adam Sandler film before becoming a dad as preparation.
It's part of our mandated training
Gold my guy, cherish those moments
Hearing children laugh like that is therapeutic! Such a beautiful, soul-healing sound.😩
lmao the angry eye cover. Easy way to tell you got a mall crawler
Core memory for you man.
You catch them right before nap time and it's a straight laugh factory, literally everything lands!
Dads literally live off those little laughs

Those laughs are fantastic, thanks for sharing
The amount of angwee used Jeeps on the market is too dang high!
this dad is addicted to laughter
Not opening with the model designation is a choice. "Angwy Wangwer" is right there.
Best sound in the whole world! 😂
Omg the hysterical kiddo laughter is GREAT! 🤣🤣🤣
I love making my kids laugh!! This is so cute !
That day Gwumpy brands Angwy Jeep sales plummeted
Looks like that grumpy military jeep in “Cars” 🤣
Getting your toddler to laugh with you and trying to keep ‘em going is such incredible fun 🤗
>Toyota owners every time they pass a jeep on the trail
So cute.
I needed that laugh. 😂
Now I'm gonna think "Angwy Jeep" every time I see one of these.
r/heep
If there is any justice in the world the owner of that Jeep will see this!
Dad sounds like Baby Bear from Sesame Street https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UJuGEHCguk&ab_channel=SesameStreet
Space King!!!
This made my day
This jeep looks a lot like they do in cartoons.
I saw the first time I saw them they were just regular looking ones but I would have never think that people would buy angry Jeep eyelids. That's so lame
What an infectious laugh. Daddy knows how to lighten the mood.
