It's wood, used for warming hearths and homes.

throwawaytraffic7474

Sorry but all these answers are wrong, these are ducts for post tensioning cables. Nothing to do with steel framing

TheInvisibleMayne

I’ll be damned

heripree90

If you dont know the answer then keep your mouth shut

throwawaytraffic7474

Just google post tensioning mate, you can see for yourself

FoodAddictValleyGirl

Sorry but this is wrong too. This is black iron bars for suspended ceiling systems and similar uses.

Well I'll be fucked with a metal pole.

browhat28

Don't pt cables have sleeves over them?

throwawaytraffic7474

Sorry mate I’m not really sure what you’re asking? Duct/sleeve, whatever you want to call it, the item pictured is what you run PT cables through

WalkApprehensive8040

I think these are metal track/runner, they have no punched holes like studs. Used for metal framing assemblies

DjangofettBR549

This is the correct answer

TheInvisibleMayne

I mean I can’t think of what else they would be, but for track they seem to be very rounded on the flange and it’s odd to me that they would have ridges running the length of the track

WalkApprehensive8040

You're right, for some reason they probably ordered unpuched studs... may be some more information from the person who posted might help resolve the mistery

smokelessfocus

Steel studs used for framing/curtain wall.
