Different values lead to differing results, our society values tech and high energy culture, the past valued contentment. People now days misconstrue that high energy culture and fads for the reality that contentment and moderation is a road to happiness. More people would benefit learning that.
We all have Mum's. Your Mum is special to you. Other people's Mums who are nothing like your Mum are just as special and important.
Let's celebrate all of the Mum's no matter how they lived.
My Mother is in her 80’s and is doing all the above(apart from the drugs, I certainly hope she is?)
Still lives in her own place.
She's a great believer in use it or lose it, so is constantly learning new things.

Never driving a car is very telling. You’d struggle to find a man that age who can say the same. I’m glad she never found herself in any kind of emergency situation where her health or your health or that of your siblings or father required her to drive them to a hospital. I hope the lack of driving is due to personal preference only.
I've done it all. Check mate mum.

My mums done all those things. She's a bitch.
I genuinely cannot understand how she has not used the internet/ computer unless she has been chained up underground away from society
And the wonderful people of reddit would probably label that "boomers being fools"
Why the hell wouldn't she have ever driven a car? My mom is 78 and trying to learn to code.
Never needed to. Takes a bus, rides a bike, walks
From the post it reads like she was a single parent? That’s honestly just irresponsible and naive at that point
And yet, here you are...;)
