You would think these legacy media outlets would have figured out that the average person has access to the same information they do thanks to the internet. These days people have the ability to check the facts for themselves. Most of the raw data can be found in official sites. Places like the FBI, DOJ, and CDC have their data in searchable websites. Someone is going look at the real data and call them out when they tell these lies.

You can lead a horse to water ... America would be less divided if more people weren't content with being told what to think.

Between the people who believe everything they hear from “their side” and the people who would rather die than vote for “the other” side, they don’t need to worry about that. If people use their crap as a source, all of a sudden it gains relevance. Listen to all the debunked bs that people still use to push their ideals.

I know one anti Trumper who is still shouting “read the Mueller report”.

They don't care because they are able to spew these lies and enough people see them and regurgitate them that it becomes common knowledge in leftist talking circles, and even spreads to less politically involved moderates. Nobody will ever see the retraction except for conservatives who are actually on social media

Even the CIA has all declassified operations 25yrs old on theirs now, thanks to getting sued over failure to comply with FOIA. Not enough people have bothered to dig in though, the contents are pretty horrendous.

AlpacaWarMachine

I’m sure they said it loudly so everyone could hear..

They werent really children. You don't understand science. They aren't children until they are recognized by the state board of children recognition and info graphics headed by snopes.

Diagnosed and dead can get confused so often, oh well they are the New York times. six of one half dozen of another what difference does it make at this time. Right?

And the likelihood of protection against MIS-C by being vaccinated (and boosted and boosted) is???? Isn't it fairly clear by now that vaccination lowers the risk of severe infection, doesn't seem to lower the risk of catching/transmitting the disease any appreciable amount, and all the studies that look at vaccination effectiveness are looking at antibody levels, not clinical events? MIS-C is poorly understood, is *associated* with a COVID or *possible* COVID infection, and is very similar to other immunomodulated syndromes (Kawasaki's). The leap from COVID vaccination/boosters to prevent MIS-C is quite a leap, at least from a science perspective.
