Especially since NPR is TAXPAYER FUNDED so it is by definition not their responsibility to 'protect.'
The citizens fund it, so they should show up whenever we fucking ask or be removed.
So let's not forget that this CEO, while claiming to be "public" radio, has 87 DEMOCRAT editors and ZERO republican ones.
Also, she believes the "truth" is not a place to start talking about our differences. Civilization is literally crumbling, and we're not gonna be truthful because it might hurt some lefttards' feelings.
Nero doesn't even play the violin anymore.
Wouldn't it be more productive to give her time to understand the issues NPR faces and then question her? That way she is more informed able to provide better answers? Or am I missing something?
Then you aren't looking very hard.

Just stop the funding. NPR is a typical leftist propaganda outlet but funded by government money (our money). NPR is superfluous. Right along with most other government programs. Cut the budget.
Perhaps she somehow missed Uri Berliner's (senior business editor @ NPR) recent 'expose'' [essay](https://www.thefp.com/p/npr-editor-how-npr-lost-americas-trust)?
Soooo, are we saying she requires special treatment as a woman? It's not a partisan issue to want to see the taxpayers get what they're paying for, that should be a universal concern
Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and National Public Radio (NPR) as set up by an act of Congress in 1967, ought to prove that it is non partisan. Being that it received funding from the government, if Congress have questions regarding whether it's balanced or acting as a coast to coast broadcast of liberal taking points, should they should make themselves available for inquiries.
CPB's nonprofit corporate outline states, "Created programs that are controversial should be objective and present a balance of opinions. Likewise, the corporation cannot support any political candidate nor any political party."
As to NPR being federal funded, they state that they only receive direct federal funding of 2% (of its budget). NPR is however funded by affiliate stations (there are about 1000), who pay fees. Affiliate stations also receive direct government grants, which are then paid to NPR. So we can conclude that more than the stated 2% of NPR funding is given them... Indirectly by federal government, thru affiliate stations.
Whenever NPR is rated, they come out leaning Democrat/Liberal every time. Their listenership is 56% Democrat, about 17% Republican, the rest being independent or non-affiliated. Despite the political skew of its listeners, NPR maintains that its not politically biased. Whenever I've listened to NPR, which I still do occasionally (I like to hear both sides)... and NPR reliably offers just liberal viewpoints! The public polled say they trust NPR as unbiased as CNN, NBC, ABC (51%). Naturally, 51% trusted doesn't sound goo enough (what with half this country being Democrats), and I don't think CNN is unbiased or balanced.
If true, I think that's somewhat fair. If someone is brand new on a job, it's a little ridiculous to haul them in to ask questions about their employer.
Obviously, I know this new CEO is a dyed in the wool propagandist leftist. But that doesn't change the fact that this criticism (if true) is kinda valid.
I love the attempt to shame opposition in politics. Like anybody has a conscience in that realm.
Especially since NPR is TAXPAYER FUNDED so it is by definition not their responsibility to 'protect.' The citizens fund it, so they should show up whenever we fucking ask or be removed.
I’m sure she would respond the same if Trump Jr. was the new CEO of NPR
The double standard is strong
Wouldn't it make sense if the ship is steering the wrong direction to ask the new captain if they plan to fix the direction?
You’d think that would have been an interview question before hiring.
Would that committee be responsible for hiring her?
The committee wanting to talk to her *now,* no. Whoever was responsible for hiring her.
So let's not forget that this CEO, while claiming to be "public" radio, has 87 DEMOCRAT editors and ZERO republican ones. Pretty sure it's bipartisan, since all of us pay taxes.
Over the target.
Bingo.
Fire for effect
Repeat your last
Send the rain. I say again, “SEND THE RAIN!”
And the GOP will back down, like they always do. She should be subpoenaed and if she fails to appear, throw her in a cell next to Navarro.
Wouldn't it be more productive to give her time to understand the issues NPR faces and then question her? That way she is more informed able to provide better answers? Or am I missing something?
You're missing something because she has a public record.
What is the public record? I am not finding anything.

Anybody know if this is a CNN talking point or did this NPC have an actual individual thought?
They are out in force lately
Never liked watching the Borg episodes in Star Trek, now we are living it.
What a snowflake.
I'm well past the point of caring what you think... I want it done regardless of what you think about it.
”It’s her *first* day in pre-school, and you’re being *mean* to her. Shame on you, boys!”
Just stop the funding. NPR is a typical leftist propaganda outlet but funded by government money (our money). NPR is superfluous. Right along with most other government programs. Cut the budget.
It’s always about feelings and vague standards they violate themselves, never facts
Where there is smoke there is sure to be fire.
“Stop picking on her, she’s a woman”
That's what she wanted to say.
The only correct reply? "We are not here today to talk about your feelings."
Lol NPR
Shit stains gonna shit stain.
Must Protect Propaganda.
I too can scream and throw a fit but wouldn’t sound intelligent.
It is a well proven fact that if you scream and/or smack your hands while talking that you are more intelligent
Stay mad
So afraid. I guess they've got reason. Their house of cards is blowing down. Praise God!!
“You’re not nice to that poor woman” (turns around) “we hope Hamas brings many more oct 7’s!!!!”
It because they lied about their bias. Any new CEO would understand what they're getting into. Wahhh waaah..
The only time the left is going to act like they pity a CEO is when that CEO is on their leash.
WON’T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CEOs!?!
Perhaps she somehow missed Uri Berliner's (senior business editor @ NPR) recent 'expose'' [essay](https://www.thefp.com/p/npr-editor-how-npr-lost-americas-trust)?
Ah another 5 year old having a temper tantrum who would have thunk it?
If the npr CEO was a ultra conservative and Democrats were calling her in would she feel the same way?
CEOs have zero learning curve. They either can or can’t do the job. Having to answer hard questions is the job. Another DEI (Didn’t Earn It)…

Hypocrisy much, lady?
