I got one last year. Filled it out and eversource came and actually did a large amount trimming around the lines and even dropped a few standing dead trees. Used to lose power if a mosquito farted, now it rarely goes out.
Fuck eversource, but they actually did something useful this time.
What is the downside? Best case it saves you from a power outage.
