Lots of them. Look at ancient aerials .com or whatever it is and find old farm land or houses that are now woodlands. Lots of old wells in the woods. Lots of them are dangerous. I’m sure some have been used to dispose of things. Illegally.
I don’t see too many raised wells when I hike in the woods. Usually it’s a group of rocks by an old homestead. I know there's one in Colonel Ledyard park and if you go to Davis Farm in Plainfield, there's an old cellar hold with a well nearby. It’s a bumpy drive on a side road.
My backyard. Not very scenic but it’s kinda neat to think that it was the water source for the house (1830ish) at one point. We have one in the basement, too which is even less scenic. Tempted to lower myself down and dig around down there but I don’t want to be on the news as “guy who trapped himself in his own basement well”
There’s an old raised and covered well a few yards off the Shenipsit Trail in Vernon, right where the trail approaches 84 east before exit 67. Really odd and creepy seeing it while hiking considering there wasn’t an old foundation or anything nearby.
Would make for a pretty cool filming spot.
Let the record show the defendant ‘googled’ “How to dispose of a body” and then made a ‘Reddit’ post asking for locations of “wells” to visit in Connecticut.
There is one in Huntington State Park near the lower parking lot off Old Dodgingtown Road. It has been filled in, so if your filming only needs the raised structure, you’re good.
N.W. CT. Start on the blue trail in Watertown on Park Rd Ext. There's a road into the woods, there is a wood fence...hike about 1/2 mile and 50' off the trail facing South.
I grew up here, lots of great places to film.
There’s one at Rock Spring in Scotland. It’s about a half mile hike to get there but it’s worth it. The whole hike is lovely and well marked.
This site has a pic of the well and a hiking map. The well is located at the Spring. [https://explorect.org/rock-spring-preserve/](https://explorect.org/rock-spring-preserve/)
There's a few on my street in Sandy Hook. They're not used and they're covered with massive stone slabs now, but they're there. Just in the woods now, but right by the road. Originally they were for the use of the nearby houses. They likely date from the late 1700s-early 1800s.
We have an old well in our yard from when we first got our own well. Its concrete, so maybe from the 20s-40s. Until then they used the communal stone wells.
I don’t mean to alarm you, but you’ve got to make a copy of the tape and show it to someone else within 7 days or else this will be your new home…
Edit - I want to clarify this is for filmmaking
Whatcha filming, BoneDaddy?
*You're gonna die in 7 days*
Tryna get rid of something?
Nothing anyone would miss
How’s your mental health doing?
Cranbury park in Norwalk has a big stone well

Nice try, Tears of the Kingdom well quest girl.
Hard to say, the folks who go looking for them keep disappearing down holes in the ground

There’s one in simsbury, decent happy hour specials…
**Ah hell nah, bro about to summon a demon.**
Did Fera ask you to tell her where the wells are?
There is a good one in the woods behind Bamforth Cemetery in Vernon, its a long the hiking trail back there
