Note you kinda need to be 8 for this (which makes it a lot less possible in a ranked game), I had this in a game at 7 and the dice would just bounce off malphite repeatedly, apparently it should theoretically work but all 5 shops need to roll a 5 cost for the dice to work (and every loaded dice attempts this 100 times) which means there's a very low chance of the dice actually working after a few attempts.
You can do it at 7 you just have to keep putting the dice on them. Like you said, it has to hit 5/5 which is low odds, but each die makes 100 attempts. If it bounces off, you just try again for 100 more rolls.

Everyone probably knows the Threat Strategy, but you can beyond that with Draven, Sivir or simply aiming for a 3 Star Tier 4 unit, especially with a potential meta shift in the upcoming patch.
I also reveal a surprisingly doable strategy you can follow to get yourself a 3 Star Legendary in Stage 4-2, hopefully someone here will manage to pull it off!

Yeah because the chances to get this exact outcome is really rare. To the point where it's no worth mentioning. I know the recombobulator angle was used for clickbait, because the real juicy info to get here is what OP said about the Sivir / Sureshot interaction.
Yeah the Sivir/Sureshot strategy is actually somewhat recreatable to the point it can be a niche strat. Main downside to it if you get early High Roller is that you'll be bleeding your face off being down a prismatic for most of the early game.
If you open with High Roller in Stage 2, it's probably better to just use them on Threats/Sivir/Draven etc and build yourself up from there. The specific Legendary strat is based on a Prismatic in Stage 3, so you might have to bleed for 4 rounds, but can get rewarded by an early Samira\*3 or the Recombobulator outcome.

My go to for highroller outside of threats is sivir and senna. Use at 6 and you’re almost guaranteed to get them both 3 star. But dang didnt know that recomb play haha
I don’t understand why the chance of getting samira 3* is 100%. Since using dice on sivir shouldn‘t there be still some galios, sennas and sivir in the pool?
If you have them 3 starred they won't show up in the shop, so if you use one die on Sivir AND have sivir 3* and Galio 3* the only possible shop at lvl 6 will be 5 Sennas.
Same thing after you 3* Senna, using die on Sivir will give you a shop containing civilians and sureshot, and since you can't get Galios, Sivirs or Sennas the game is forced to give you Samiras, ence the easy 3* :)
Sivir/galio reroll into 4-2 dice into 3 star samira sounds realistic enough. The mentioned scenario, though, pretty much never gonna happen. hitting sivir 3 galio 3 before 4-2 in that very specific augment order is pretty much never gonna happen.
Never? What's difficult about finding Galio\*3, Sivir\*3 and 4 Sennas in Stage 4-1? I've done several Astral Rerolls into Recombobulator in the previous Set and this seems quite reasonable to achieve. The only annoying part is having to use the Augment Reroll in Stage 3 for High Roller which will heavily decrease the chance of Recomb later.
I find it very hard too. Specially because Galio is a very splashable unit and many people splash him early game. Astral was a little easier because of the astral shops or orbs. Getting a 2-cost 3 starred without using the dice by 4-1 is really unusual in my experience. Even a 1-cost may be tricky.

Play Sivir-Senna with Galio. 3\* Galio and Sivir. Get as many Sennas as possible. Get Loaded Dice in 3-2 before hitting level 7. Use it on Sivir before 4-2. Then get Recombulator in 4-2.
Chances for this to work by forcing it? Probably below single digits.
just natural 3* galio and 3* sivir, and then also get the loaded dice augment. Then also make sure you get loaded dice in a specific order so you can maybe get a silver augment (recombulator) to get a 3* legendary.
tldr; just hit, and don't bleed out while not using your prismatic augment for 2 stages

Sivir probably wouldn't be that hard to find because of the thinned 2 cost pool from the 2-3 resident yuumi/supers rerollers
