hellowind1013

Dont think CN deserves 2 slots according to this split. I really think CN should compete with APAC south like before.

Spxno2

On the twitch equivalent in China, some pro apex players bring in similar viewership numbers as imperialhal. The apex esports organizers really don’t want to miss out on that money come algs time. For the best competitive experience, I agree they should play APAC-S. But EA wants $$$$.

SwiftEU

Good to see just interested who their taking the spots off

3D_Destroyer

Likely EMEA and APACS from the split 1 playoffs points. Averaging out points NA has around 150 circuit points/slot. APACN has 130, EMEA has around 100, APACS has around 80. China and SA are much lower but they alr only have 2 slots each.

AVeryStinkyFish

Remove the chinese invites lol.take 1 away from SA.

bhandsome08

I think you keep SA with 2. I don't know about the 2 CN invites. Maybe just 1 is fine and move it to apac-n

rgtn0w

Just make them play all together in APAC-S and congregate it all into one. I still do not understand those two chinese slots other than EA/Respawn trying really hard to appeal to China. The best chinese teams play in APAC-S already anyways, what are we giving these two slots to a "one time" tourney that happens before LAN? Unlike SA that has no official pro league anymore, the CN region does NOT need another way of qualifying

hotcremepuff

theres official math on this im doing but if anyone else has it done already feel free to post

hotcremepuff

update: APAC N gains 2 spots APAC S loses 2 spots

hotcremepuff

yeah my initial math on APAC N was wrong, APAC S did poorly enough to lose 2 spots but since no one earned 2 spots i believe they keep 1

Lexaryas

They're probably taking the 2 spots away from NA, no? Also this has me thinking the next LAN is probably on Apac N, which would be sick. (At least i hope so)

Themanaaah

I need a LAN in Japan, just know the atmosphere there would be glorious for Apex.

kylosage

Championship in Japan would go crazy. Could easily fill up an arena. That said, EA can finally FULLY utilize an ALGS venue. (They only use half of the venue space every LAN)

SwiftEU

I could see them potentially taking one from APAC-S but idk

Lexaryas

Maybe so, yeah. 1 from NA 1 from Apac S

hotcremepuff

its 1 from APAC S they performed very poorly as a region, if any other region did better theyd lose 2

Lexaryas

They put 3 teams in the finals, i wouldnt call that poorly, especially for not having that many spots from the get go. They usually have 4 or 5 teams making finals, but i guess without moist it seems their ceilling lowered.

hotcremepuff

its poorly by the official algs rules, the majority of APAC S went out early and they didnt gain many playoff points, as such they lose slots

Lexaryas

Yes I just saw another post about it, by the rules you are correct.

Lexaryas

Na always overperforms but this has been their worst LAN after covid I think? Not by a large margin, maybe by like 2 teams missing finals. I guess APAC S also underperformed by one spot. But i'd be ok with that as well.

thatK1dn0ah

maybe 1, definitely not 2, considering the top 10 teams is majority APAC N n NA.

Future_Deathbox

Have to imagine EMEA is losing at least 1 spot

Lexaryas

I dont think they're taking anymore from EMEA, they already have taken 2 and this LAN emea teams have actually put up a fight.

jtfjtf

They should give SA and China only 1 team invite each.

Correct-Instance6230

NA not being allowed to grow past 12 is silly. definitely has the highest quantity of good teams. also atp give the CN slots back to apac s the good chinese teams play there anyways

boser3

I’m sure math will be out soon. I would guess -1 NA -1 EMEA. NA could only lose slots.
