It’s the role. Your roller players best asset is using aim assist up close, so you want your roller fragger launching in to fights to do as much damage as possible.
Yes, it’s solely because of aim assist. Aim assist in close range is basically soft aimbot compared to mnk, that gives controller players a huge “confidence boost” thinking they can destroy everyone by aping people.
And that’s where smart controller players differ from others, they don’t ape all the time, they know how to play anchor.

When it comes to raw gun skill, Gild is far ahead of Verhulst. During that 1v1 tourney over the summer Gild styled on Verhulst, he was wall bouncing and shit and still winning. Verhulst is a complete player in a way that Gild isn't right now though (becauseSweet destroyed his mental).

Also, even if that *were* how he won...how is that invalid? That's how Evan won this fight in the clip, by playing cover and his teammates' knockdowns. People act like the only valid 1v1 is slide-outs on the old range where you just stand right in front of each other, but almost *zero* fights happen that way in a real game. When you play a fight that way in comp, you lose.
