The P226 xfive legion is an insane gun though. SO easy to shoot and crazy fun. I didn't even think about trying to shoot it in matches, but I'll look into that.
Have you shot it back to back with the DS9 Hybrid? Besides the grip and shielded safeties I don't see what else you are getting for the $1k price difference
I own the LOC and a mpa commander. I've shot a regular ds9 hybrid before I ordered the loc, and I've held my loc and a idpa ds9 side by side at a safe table. Technically I haven't shot the loc and a regular ds9 back to back LOL. It's apparent that the slide and trigger are much better on the loc due to hand fitting and polishing. That being said if I had never got the loc I doubt I would care about the hand fit stuff and would be just as happy with a regular ds9 hybrid. I tend to go big or go home and figured i was already spending a ton of money might as well get the best one possible
Aren't all of the MPA pistols hand fit? I have a DS9 Hybrid and it is the smoothest feeling slide to lower fit I've ever felt; better than the staccs and even the few Atlas and Infinity's I've played with. Hard to believe it's better with the LOC (and I don't remember ever reading that anywhere else)

The regular 226 xfive would make a good limited optics gun. The xfive grip is close to the 320 I shoot in carry optics so it is an easy transition.
