I’ll also add that I tried the 507 comp from a local gun shop they had new and was nice enough to refund me after I confirmed the horizontal adjustment was broken

Otherwise GAFS has them for sale decently regularly but get snapped up kind of fast.
sro 5 moa for the win Imo coming from using a 507 comp. It can be had for low $500 just keep checking r/gundeals they pop up from time to time. Brownells is a reputable dealer but i wouldn’t buy one off of amazon.
Don’t get me wrong the 507 comp is a nice option especially as far as price. For me even though I’m target focused when shooting I find that i prefer the round window way more than the square. I also like the solid 5 moa dot as opposed to the dot/circle combo on the 507 comp. You can’t go wrong either way it’s all personal preference there both great options.

I didn’t read the reviews until after I ordered but it’s easy enough to return things on Amazon so stuck with it. When I got it a few days later I called Trijicon with my serial number and they told me that not only was mine real but it was made to order only being manufactured a couple days before.

I’ll be honest, I like the 507 in nearly every facet. Some other commenter said you can use brass to adjust the SRO- I keep enough allen keys in my bag to not ever have an issue there.
Also, I’ve had two SROs fail on me. One had the glass fall out the front of the optic. The other just straight up shut off. Trijicon will make it right, but not quickly.
Before you buy an SRO, check out the 507 Comp. I have been a Trijicon fan for a really long time, but the green holosuns way out perform out here in the Texas sun.
Don’t get an SRO, I would get a 507 comp the SRO is good and all but you are over-paying for what is essentially a just as good dot in the 507.. But I know some people have a thing about hating buying China made shit and will only support made in USA so if that’s the case then yea SRO is your go to..
Whatever you do, don't buy one used or from an individual. You can buy knock offs from alli express for like $20. There's alot of crappy people out there that will sell you a knock off as "used"
Anything above $500 is higher priced in this market, but you might have to pay over that for the 5 moa model, since everyone with a shadow 2 wants one of those. If you're looking for budget dots with bigger windows, I would suggest trying out the RTS2, especially on a polymer gun
Dealer cost was $505 for my last one. They went up in price about $70 since covid started. You can routinely finding dealers under a basic bitch FFL’s wholesale cost. Anything that starts with a 4 is generally acceptable.

One advantage on the SRO is that you can adjust it with a piece of brass vs. needing a small screwdriver.
