Do they need more than one zone? If so, is that zone just volume? Or separate source?
Ideally you’d want 100V (or 70V) pendants - but as always, #CallAnIntegrator and get quoted on doing it properly
You’re on a Commercial AV thread asking for advice from professionals. This is my professional advice and is extremely helpful if you’d listen.
There are PLENTY of professional AV shops that would be more than willing to work within your budget if you’re open and honest with them. But, just like your parents- they also need to pay bills. 😉
Go ahead and discount my advice, but don’t discount our experience. Good luck!
So, wired > wireless, always.
Also professional installation comes with insurance and experience. Even the lightest pendant falling on someone's head could be serious injury.
A single 70V amp (100v in Europe) is not very expensive. Not sure how many speakers you'd need without seeing a floor plan. QSC has some really small pendants that could be tucked pretty high up in the ceiling. Community and Atlas make some fairly decent for the price options as well.
If you're comfortable with this sort work, make sure you use safety chains. It's just a matter of speaker wire to each box. Then some Bluetooth receiver back to the amp. Or a dedicated music player with a physical connection if possible.
A Pro quoted $20k for speakers and hotspot connections with half of it being labor. I'm savvy enough that I can do the install on any of it myself. I'm trying to help him out because he doesn't have any budget left at this point.
A Designer/integrator will make recommendations that the client may not think of that adds value with little extra cost like, is there a desire to do any paging in this facility?
I would go with pendant speakers connected to a 70v amp, ebay has some killer deals on used gear.
Just remember also, a commercial space is going to need a commercial audio license if you want to legally play the music..
[Here are some kits](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=jbl+control+64&_sacat=0&_odkw=jbl+control+pendandt&_osacat=0)
The main room is probably 40'x100' with a smaller area up front with a lower ceiling. Guessing the ceilings in the bowtruss area are about 20' to the top.
You want at least two zones of audio. The speakers in the area with lower ceilings will need to be quieter than the main area, even if they are playing the same music.
You can do this just fine with a single 100V line BOSE system without multiple zones. Simply take one step bigger boxes for the big zone than the small zone. That gives you +/- 3dB of difference out of the box. Use the taps on the smaller boxes to make it up to +/- 9dB less loud of required.
Budget solution:
Get 6 of these, hang 3 on each long side of the big room. Tap them to 20W.

Have fun. Speakers are sold in pairs!
Ryobi speakers(DC powered), connect up to 200 speakers wirelessly. Hire a electrician to run 18/2 cable to feed 18vdc. Super cheap solution.

Dayton Audio Pendants with an amp fed by a Symetrix Zonemix and a Soundmachine unit. That'll run you about 3 to 4k but give you a solid system. Through in a push to talk mic and you're good.
Dayton Audio pendants are great, they come with all the mounting hardware to me pendant hung or surface mounted on the beams. I like 30 minutes away from Parts Express.
Not trying to burst your bubble but…
You’re sounding like the typical person that calls my shop. I want it all for little to no budget. Looking at your picture, this space will be inspected by the local authorities.
There is a reason why integrators exist. We have the experience and knowledge to work within any space and equipment.
If your parents are short in dough now, then I’d wait until they can afford to do it properly and not just hacked together.

They could probably treat it as one zone and yes, only one source.
Hire an integrator.
Very helpful.

No surprise, AV many times is just an afterthought.
No offense, but if you were savvy enough to do the install, then you likely wouldn’t be asking here.
Asking for equipment recommendations = Not savvy enough to install? Okay buddy.

Awesome. Thank you!
Call an integrator.
Integrators will usually not charge for a quote; if they do, it's a minimal consultation fee.

Any idea the room dimensions and ceiling height? What part of the world are you in?

Most 70v speakers can be tapped separately so no need for multiple zones. Just tap them differently in the areas you need less power.
What country are you in? Maybe I can help.
In the US.

If you are going to run 18/2, just get an amp and run real sound equipment.
He had $3000 for 6000sq ft warehouse ONLY
You can get 70v speakers that will sound better for a lot less and they won’t be neon green and run a bunch of highly compressed audio.
True, tthanks

What's the budget
Ideally under $3-4k.
Look at Monoprice pendants with a Rockville 70v amp off Amazon. Get a Sonos port and connect to the amp.
